I read a lot of reviews online that had negative things to say about this hotel, but my experience was positive! My room was sparkling clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was good with lots of options, and the location was excellent (a short walk from the central train station and close to public transportation. They also provided a guest pass for public transportation, which I wasn't expecting. I could catch a tram that was about a 2-minute walk from the hotel and be in to Old Town in about 15 minutes.

I don't really have any big complaints. I saw some reviews where people complained about staff being unwelcoming or unhelpful. That wasn't my experience. Perhaps the staff didn't exude American-style cheerfulness and friendliness (which is fine! we're not in the US), but they were professional and helped me when I needed it. (Plus they have a 24-hour person on the main desk!) I would like it if they had a better system for keeping track of the in-room mini bar. I drank one sparkling water during my two days, but they recorded it as a beer. The price difference was negligible, but I know I didn't drink a beer. I don't really drink alcohol.

The hotel was located at around a 10-15 mins walk from Salzburg HBF station. The room was nice and the bathroom was spacious. The hotel looked good from outside & was at a 2-min walk from the nearest bus stop. The best part of the stay was an unique feature - there was a music system belting out amazing english hit songs in the local radio station. That was so cool because the TVs in such hotels are pretty useless having pretty much no english channel at all.

The Room had a sofa diner like thing which ate up the space in the room on one hand but made it a good spot to eat something as well.

The location was ideal, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was value for money, delicious and constantly replenished. The kitchen and wait staff were patient with all clients and were very accommodating to all needs. The Hotel presented really well. Common areas were very clean.

Due to a mix up in communication between staff, the room was not ready. In order to accommodate us, the room was cleaned straight away. However, this unfortunately was not to the standard of what the next day we discovered. After that little hiccup, the room was cleaned to a very high standard.

Beautiful chic late 80-mid-90 style. Very romantic... Feels like walking in a movie of that era. There is attention to detail like freely offered slippers for instance.

Kids found the rooms old style (we found it nostalgic 😁). There is some odor hinting the rooms have been smoked in in another era (fyi: all rooms and hallways have carpet, perfect for soundproofing, but...). Might have triggered kids reactions. To be fair: far subtler than some iconic hotels we have been in. Parking has a camera and there is a low fence separating it from the street (which is good). The parking entrance has no door, gate or barrel which feels less secure. I'd say parking safety woks on cam and Salzburg city being a safe place. Noted we were sensitive to the subject as the place was just a stopping point on our itinerary and most belongings remained in our car.

The breakfast was very nice and so was the accomodations in the breakfast room. The breakfast food and selection was very good. The hotel location is an easy walk to the train station (except when there is a foot of snow on the ground).

We typically stay in Hilton hotels, so have gotten use to the larger, more modern rooms. This was a very typical local European hotel room, which are comparatively smaller than what we have become accustom to in large commercial hotel chains. But the room was very clean and room service adequate. We spent very little time in the hotel room, spending the majority of our time touring the city, so it was more than adequate. If you just like to sit in your hotel room and spend time at the bar or lounge, this is not likely the best place for you.

Location - 10mins walk from station and river, and 30mins walk to the centre of old town of Salzburg (tho all other amenities close by). Relaxed family run hotel, with a refurbished bathroom and a good European breakfast selection.

Please reduce single use plastics - bathroom toiletries all in single use packaging. Curtains didn’t quite cover full window.

Lovely little hotel located in a convenient location, 5 minutes walk to the main train station and 15 minutes walk to the town. Supermarkets nearby around the train station. Nice clean room, lovely beds and linen.

Didn’t reply to my messages before we arrived. Arrived 45 minutes before the check in time but wouldn’t let us check in because of the 2:00pm check-in rule. It was very helpful that we could leave our luggage, however we had to leave it in an unsecured area in a corridor because the luggage room was full. Heating was set too high in the room and we had to keep on opening both the outside and inside doors to cool the room down (could not adjust the central heating).

Clean friendly hotel, family run business and everyone was so accommodating. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone. The rooms have an additional table/seating area which is useful! Bathroom is the nicest bathroom I’ve seen, additional lighting and personal touch of a radio in the shower! It was super clean not a spot of dust in sight. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Hotel was easy to find and in a good location. Easy walking distance to the main town centre, station and attractions. Parking was made available in adjoining buildings. Staff very helpful / welcoming. Room was spacious and had the required amenities for a short stay. Comfortable beds, clean room spacious room.

Felt the Hotel was a little dated for a 4 * hotel. Our rooms bathroom was functional and clean, but could do with updating. Compact lobby / bar area.

We recently stayed at this hotel following an unexpected change in our flight, which redirected us from Salzburg to Linz due to a storm. Despite our late arrival, the night porter warmly welcomed us with freshly made cheese sandwiches, a gesture we greatly appreciated. The room, while somewhat outdated in design, was highly practical, comfortable, and clean. This slightly retro charm didn't detract from our stay. In contrast, the bathroom and toilet were modernized and met all our expectations. Breakfast was satisfactory and aligned with what we anticipated. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. The location is ideal for exploring Salzburg, situated just around the corner from the main railway and bus stations, making it a mere 5-minute walk. This convenience, combined with the hotel's overall quality, makes it an excellent and value-worthy choice for anyone visiting Salzburg.
