The location, the ambiance. Good value for money.

The guy in the reception (I think he's the supervisor) wasn't too helpful when we asked if we can leave our luggage after check out since our flight is in the afternoon. He said in a very unaccommodating voice, that "the room is already full with the luggages so cannot put our luggages." When we asked if there are lockers in the station, he said "I don't know. Maybe", which is very unhelpful. The ladies in the reception though were cheerful, nice and helpful. One lady helped us when we asked again when the guy was gone. Thanks to her.

During my recent stay at this hotel, several positive aspects contributed to an overall satisfying experience. The hotel's location, a mere 2-minute walk from the main station, proved to be incredibly convenient for commuting, while the old city centre was easily accessible within a 20-30 minute walk. The rooms, though not extravagant, were decently appointed, featuring a comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. One standout highlight was the breakfast service, which was not only delightful but also smoothly managed, thanks to the commendable efforts of the breakfast staff. In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to Fimmi for ensuring a pleasant and efficient breakfast experience. The Tacos & Bar offered by the hotel provided a charming option for spending cozy evenings within the premises. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was generally positive, with its strengths in location, room comfort, and breakfast offerings outweighing minor drawbacks. With some attention to the mentioned details, this hotel has the potential to enhance its guest experience even further.

Turning to the negative aspects, there were no major issues, but certain details did leave room for improvement. Despite an upgrade in the room interior, the choice of cheap laminate flooring was somewhat disappointing, detracting from the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the provision of luggage lockers came with a daily charge of 4 euros. While this was a minor inconvenience, the presence of individual lockers, as opposed to a common room for all guests, was appreciated. The justification for the fee may be found in the convenience and security offered by these paid lockers.

We liked the location of this hotel as many major tourist spots can be easily reached on foot such as the Mirabell Gardens and the Hohensalzburg Fortress as well as the city center. It is also near to the train station and several restaurants and coffee shops. We were delighted to find a good Asian eatery right across it The hotel room was pretty clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I appreciate the free refillable water bottles and fruit that they provided for us, for all their visitors. All our requests were acknowledged and completed quickly. They are really efficient at what they do. Overall, I would recommend this place.

The hotel could have provided some slippers in the room. I expected this because whenever we travel to many Asian countries, I have yet to encounter a hotel with no slippers and toothbrushes provided for their guests.

Great location: a few minutes walking from train station and a 10/15 minutes walk to the historic centre. Great breakfast: very good breakfast, with healthy options and good variety of warm and cold food and drinks. Great atmosphere: It is a new hotel that just made 2 years and you can feel that in the atmosphere. Also very friendly and helpful staff, everyone we interact with were very enjoyable and nice to talk to

All was good

Easy walk from the railway station and exactly as advertised. The phone was always answered promptly with helpful inputs. Lots of restaurants and bars close by and the bus and train stops are at stones throw distance. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and the Salzburg travel pass that the hotel gave took care of all our travel needs. There is a microwave at the reception where you can warm your food if you want to,and though there is no tea coffee maker in the room, you can get it downstairs. Any amount of drinking water is also easily available at the desk, though the tap water seemed fine for us

There is no in-house restaurant, though the bar is open till late. No big deal actually, because food is available if you just step out a little

A short walk into the centre of Salzburg…about 15 mins. Parking was available on site. The room was quiet despite being on a main road. There are shutters to keep the room cool which were great. Shower was excellent and beds comfortable.

Staff were ok but didn’t go over and above. Did the minimum needed. Towels were functional…they definitely had seen better days. We stayed for 3 nights and two of the nights I felt were overpriced but it turned out to be a bank holiday weekend in Austria. This was something the hotel staff could have mentioned when we checked in as the city did close down for the day. We also had to pay for everything as and when we used the bar / restaurant. No option to charge to the room.

The location and the cleanliness. Everything was as shown in the picture. 5 stars to our bed. It is so comfortable!

Something in the room is missing for the price of more than 100€ , no kettle, no slippers, no toothbrush, but you can ask from the reception if wishes.

A very nice property and amazing staff. Jolly and helpful folks who were always smiling, warm, and available for any help. I think I would really like them do voice out what I didn’t like about the hotel below.

Issue I found is that in the name of eco friendly hotel, they charge for everything. They don’t provide hot water kettle, coffee/tea sachets, and refrigeration in the name of eco friendly. One had to go down every time one needs a hot water. Imagine the power being wasted for elevator to go up and down. The funny thing is, if you pay then they give you all the facilities. Basic like moisturizer was not provided. In the name of eco friendly, house keeping had to be booked a day in advance and did a sloppy job. Please do note that rooms were fairly clean when we checked in so no complaints or issue but while we stayed, housekeeping did a sloppy job.

Perfect location. Loved that they had free water and fruit. The bathrooms were very modern and clean! I would come back to stay here.

Our room was very warm and it was hard to sleep at night. We set the temperature to as low as it can go but the room was still very warm.

The staff at Cocoon were lovely - very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was awesome! Such a wide variety of options and all so delicious. The restaurant area was my favourite place to sit, have a coffee and write in my travel journal. It was so cosy and welcoming. My room looked straight out at a mountain - so magical. The room has roller shutters for a better night’s sleep although you don’t need them at Cocoon as it is so quiet on there. No gym but you don’t need it as there are miles of streets to explore. Easy walking distance to the train station. I highly recommend Cocoon - we will be back!
