The hotel is in a fantastic location. We could walk to all of the Salzburg sites or take the bus, for which the concierge printed out free tickets and gave us directions. We also loved their restaurant and beer garden, which was fabulous. We ended up having dinner or beers there all three nights. We had two rooms that were both generously-sized. There was a sofa in each, and the rain shower in the bathroom was wonderful!

I would not recommend heading out the hotel and going to the right after dark. There were some homeless people sleeping in the tunnel. Nothing that the hotel can do about that, but if you want to stay in the city, then you just need to be aware.

Spacious rooms with lots of natural light. Bathroom well appointed and spacious. Wardrobe is large and has plenty of space to hang clothes as well as shelves and 2 drawers. Hardwood floors comfortable upholstered chair for reading. Also appreciated having a place just inside the door to hang coats, umbrellas, and to store luggage.

When housekeeping made up my room, they took all the used towels but didn't leave any clean towels, so I had to go to reception to request towels. Housekeeping also did not make the bed and did not provide additional toilet paper supply.

Picked this hotel as it was handy for the train station, which we needed to be near as we were arriving and leaving by train. It's only a couple of minutes from the hauptbanhof but the part of town is still nice and smart, not like the areas around stations in some cities. It may be tempting to stay more central but the hotel is only about 10 minutes walk from the old town, which takes you either along the river, which is a lovely walk with great views of the city, or past famous sights like Mirabel Schloss and gardens. My favourite thing to do in Salzburg is visit the Augustiner Kloster Brewery, from which this hotel is only a few minutes across the river so, whilst it may not seem the most obvious location, it has a lot going for it. Breakfast was very good with typical range of hot and cold items in plenty of variety, all of high quality. Also ate in their traditional Austrian restaurant one night, which serves classic tavern food. It was excellent, easily the equal of any restaurant and deserves special credit for a section on the menu for Austrian beef, which is a little unusual. The waiting staff were great, always looking to anticipate what you want next before waiting to be asked, but never intrusive. Well worth visiting even if you're not staying here.

The only fault I could find was that there was only one coffee machine in the breakfast room so there was invariably a queue. Not helped by the fact that the machine is particularly slow to dispense. A pretty minor criticism but it would be better if they got at least one more.

The location - walkable to main station and also close to main attractions. Bed was comfortable and shower was amazing. The staff was really helpful, especially receptionist Ozge who went beyond and helped us to locate our daughter’s missing pillowcase.

Nothing much - but if I were to be picky, the tv could be changed to a smart tv for us to connect to our own streaming account as there were only limited English channels available

Our room was exactly as pictured online. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a big walk-in shower and good toiletries. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered a choice of a room on the 4th floor with a city view or a 1st floor quiet room. We opted for quiet. It was peaceful. The location is great, approx 10 minutes walk from the rail station on a hot day. Similar distance to the Mirabelle gardens and 20 minutes to Salzburg old city.

The rooms were very spacious, plenty of storage, very clean, good shower and AC. The beds were very comfortable with lovely soft white bed linen. There was a fridge, kettle and hairdryer with shower gel and hand soap provided. The hotel was in a good location for walking into the very centre of Salzburg and close to all the tourists sights and attractions in the old town (10/15 minute walk), plus the train station was within walking distance just down the road. Also close to plenty of cafe and restaurants. The hotel also had a lift, restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We recently stayed at Imlauer for night with the family. GOOGLE maps took us direct to the hotel with no issues. Checking in was a breeze, the room was clean and quaint and prepared for our arrival. Unloading is available in the loading zone in front of the hotel and their parking lots, just around the corner. The hotel is situated a short walk to Mirabell Gardens and Palace and about fifteen minutes to the Getreidegasse shopping area. There are several restaurants nearby, but the in-house hotel was great for local cuisine. The breakfast in the same location as the restaurant had a great variety and was plentyful. What I liked: The service was incredible. / The ever-present Brigitte, the front desk clerk was amazing with her ability to serve multiple individuals concurrently. She keept calm and professional when overrun by 25-30 individuals after exiting tour buses, all expecting immediate assistance. It was fascinating to watch as she kindly assisted everyone with a smile and in multiple languages. / The restaurant staff was in typical Austrian fashion friendly, expedient and professional. / The buffet was always stocked or immediately re-stocked by the cooking staff, never allowing anything to be missed. There are also no complaints about the quality and plentiness of food provided.

What I did not like: The hotel is situated next to a major train line and station and if you desire a breeze like me, opening the windows will ensure that you will not rest if you are sensitive to noise. / Some reviewers shy away from this topic, but the bathroom tissue was like sanding paper. / The hotel is extremely busy and has only one elevator. Be ready to wait for a long while at times. or use the stairs. I am physically challenged, so that was not an option for me. / The morning coffee was unfortunately available from a machine and just did not have a kick. / Finally, the price was a bit high for this time of the season, including the parking, but for transients like us, it was acceptable.

Location is perfect especially if you travel by train. Few mins to Salzburg train station and Mirabell Gardens, 7 mins cycling to the old town and around the hotel there are plenty of shops and nice cafes/restaurants. The hotel’s BräuRestaurant is also very good. Very quick service even on busy days. I must also highlight all (reception, restaurant and housekeeping) the friendly staff of the hotel that really made our stay very warm and comfortable- especially all the ladies at the RECEPTION. My 2 year old daughter is always excited to go down to the lobby to see them. Thank you so much!

1. The cleaning could be improved - the floor is not really clean after the housekeeper’s cleaning 2. The bed is comfortable, but the pillows are not great. It’s one of those wide, very soft, airy and crookedly shaped type. Should be changed to a hotel standard comfort pillows

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was very convenient for the railway station and not too far from the old town. The room was comfortable and well equipped. A little biscuit on the pillow was a nice touch and having a kettle in the room is always a bonus in Europe. The breakfast room was well laid out and there was plenty of choice. I would recommend and happily stay here again. The restaurant was also good and the staff helpful.

Our room was absolutely stunning, beautiful decor and great layout. Bathroom was lovely too Nice and light airy room and air con worked well. Kettle and coffee machine were super too Reception team were really helpful in getting somewhere to store of bikes.

We went for a drink in the restaurant and left after 10mins as no drinks came, they were busy tidying up after the lunch rush, we were practically the only people to serve.
