Quite happy with the team of Lasserhof. Hospitality is top notch I should say. Room was clean and well equipped. We have not experienced anything uncomfortable with the entire team of staff. They were very helpful, polite and professional. We really recommend this stay for the first time visitors.

Granite flooring in bathroom gives a nice look but in practical it’s bit slippery. Providing Extra floor mats will be helpful, so that the water doesn’t come outside to the bedroom. Nothing negative but just an idea to make it better.

Hotel Lasserhof is a 10-minute walk from the main train station and has the bus stop 22 directly outside. This bus takes you to the Mirabell Gardens and the Old Town which was very helpful as my husband has limited mobility. The Hotel has good air con once Mustapha on Reception got it working for us! He was very helpful advising us where to go. He also printed out the Guest Mobility ticket for us which gave us free public transport for our whole trip. My Indigo Restaurant is a short walk away where we had dinner and a break from meat heavy or pasta meals for a very reasonable price. They have a free left luggage facility which was great on our last day as we had a late train. Although not cheap it provided a 3 bed room conveniently located and was cheaper than other options in high seaaon August. Particular thanks again to Mustapha, a real asset to the hotel!

Although there is a lift there are steps down to Reception which my husband found challenging at the end of a long day. For the price a coffee machine would be good as well as a kettle. There is a hairdryer but no iron.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean and efficient. Few minutes to the train station. Can walk to areas of interest and old city area. The surrounding area is quiet with few eating options apart from the usual kebab places with men smoking furiously outside and inside. A better choice is Il Corallo, an Italian place at Auerspergstrasse 12 not far away. Best supermarkets are the Spar inside the train station and the larger Spar outside on the other side. A local supermarket behind the service station is OK. We had one of the smaller rooms, however there was an adjoining area with wardrobe and storage area, so we could spread out comfortably. Would stay there again for sure.

Breakfast area dining look too inviting, so we can’t report on the quality of the breakfast.

Hotel is 5 minutes walk from the main Salzburg train station. 10 minute stroll to get to old town. Check in process was quick. Staff/Customer service were very helpful. The elevator was quick and had enough room for 2 people and luggage. We had a 3rd floor triple corner room, and was a decent size There was a construction site across the road, but was quiet, especially with window double glazing. 2 chairs provided and a work bench/table. No ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign, so had to make our own. No Refrigerator. A Kettle provided. No Microwave. Television has a few English Channels. Rest were local language. Air conditioning/heating was good. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows were really soft. Wardrobe space was small but adequate The Shower water pressure was average and took a long time to heat up. Water Temperature was not overly hot, but was constant. Towels were ok. WiFi was average.

The bathroom didn’t have an independent light switch, and lighting was motion activated. Sometimes, it turned off after a minute. Yes, it saves on electricity, but not great when the room goes pitch black when you’re in the shower (or doing something else). A couple of pillows of different firmness would be great. Room door is a key lock, but there’s no additional lock, or chain or slide lock on the inside, which is always good for security.

It’s a 5 minute walk from the main station and another 10 minutes into the Altstadt. It was a friendly welcome and they managed to accommodate us arriving early. Ours rooms were spacious enough and clean but perhaps lacking a a few facilities e.g a long mirror in the bedroom and there were a couple of holes where poor repairs had been done. The breakfast room was okay and breakfast adequate.

The breakfast tables needed wiping when we sat down. The buffet was fine but perhaps some prepared fruit salad would make a welcome addition. There is no bar, though there was a vending machine and coffee facility. Just a little faded overall but fine for a value city hotel.

Breakfast was excellent. Would love it if they could start serving before 7am. But they did accomodate us when we had to leave around 6am to catch our train. They packed some cheese for us to take along. We turned down the drinks as it would have been difficult to handle that with our luggage. The room was nice, except for the shower room. It was a bit slippery and on several occassions, we almost slipped. Managed to stop falling by grabbing the glass door. It was great to have the shower and toilet as two separate cubicles. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Perhaps could have added mats to the shower room. My sister also did not like the fact that the shower room did not have a door to it.

Location is great, within walking distance from all great sights (old town, Maribell palace/gardens) and Hauptbahnhof. Very friendly staff, available almost all the time. Good selection of breakfast foods. Kettle in the room for nice cup of tea. Very Austrian vibe, in the best possible way.

Missing remote control for the a/c. Luckily, we didn't need it in September, but we did notice it was missing. Although the room was cleaned every day, they did not refill toilet paper. After 2 nights, we had to ask for more ourselves. That was a little inconvenient.

The man on reception was very friendly, kind and informative to us. The room was well presented and the bed very comfortable. About a 10minute walk from the Old Town so perfectly placed. If you are doing a Panorama tour (Hallstatt, Sound of Music etc), the pick-up point is only 5 minutes round the corner. Hotel were more than happy to look after our cases while we went on aforementioned tour.

The shower had minimal cold feed - not ideal with the temperatures above 30 deg. Celsius - addressed this during our stay but since we were staying only one night a wash suffficed. So we didn’t mind too much. Hopefully it’s fixed for future guests!

The place is amazing, is really close to the train station, walking distance, and it is actually really close to the night life bars, we were able to walk at night (really late) with no problem and arrive to the hotel. The staff people are really kind, the help us a lot on buying transportation tickets and also with some addresses. It is a really good place to stay if you'd like to know Salzburg

The beds were individual ones but put them together. I know there are sometimes that big beds are not available but having covers to get the divisions covered and big blankets is not that difficult. Just take that in consideration if you are traveling with your partner

Easy walk from the main station(4mins). Mirabella Gardens close by. Old town a pleasant stroll away. Lovely location, clean, safe environment. Our room was very comfortable and all amenities worked perfectly. Staff were very helpful with suggestions and directions. Would definitely recommend.
