Sherwood Park is a serene 10 acre property which is an oasis to restore and rejuvenate your soul. Linda the caring owner goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable and memorable. The decor has an olde world charm with a very homey feel.. All you need is provided from filtered water by the bedside, tea and coffee facilities with fine china and lovely bedrooms Breakfast was sourdouch artisannal bread, avocado, tomato and jams.. My disabled son and I had not had a holiday in over a decade and this was the perfect retreat for us both. Linda ensured we were very comfortable and all our needs were met. She rearranged the furniture, helped me load and unload the car and even took us both on a private tour of the property. My son was so delighted to meet the 9 horses that live on the farm, they were very cheeky and affectionate with him. It was heartwarming to see him smile, relax and enjoy his life again.. Thankyou LINDA for making our stay extra special, we will definitely be visiting again when we can. Highly recommended for a peaceful and restorative retreat with personal touches.

Quiet and private location. Had lovely food for a continental breakfast, even chocolate brownie to have on arrival. Fridge available and tea and coffee facilities in the kitchen. Bed comfortable. Owner lovely and welcoming.

Window fly screens dirty. Fixtures and fittings tired and minor repairs needed in bathroom area. Very old fashioned, would benefit from a freshen up.

As so many people have already said, this is a wonderful place. Linda's attention to detail in every aspect of the stay made it a very refreshing weekend break from the city environment. The complimentary breakfast was probably the best we've had anywhere. Highly recommended.

There wasn't anything to be disappointed about. Just great.

Everything Place was delightful and very traditional The hosts could not have been nicer they showed us around the property with Anne feeding horses and myself hitting some golfballs. The whole place was very welcoming , lovely sitting area and dining area Lovely breakfast on both mornings

Absolutely nothing

The location was quiet, amongst the trees, and yet easy to find. The hostess welcomed us with a wonderful fire in the heater, music which we really appreciated and clear expectations.

I am really not sure that I would hope for anything different.

The little extras such as the fridge stocked, table set, music playing on arrival, being greeted at the door all made this stay one to remember. We will stay again. Value for money.

The breakfast was so plentiful and delicious. The location was so handy being close to a function we attended., Sherwood Park was so peaceful and quiet. Linda was a wonderful friendly host. Loved the tour of the property. We were very comfortable and happy with everything. Will certainly stay again when next in area and highly recommend.

Linda and Gary are lovely people, and their property is really beautiful and nice and quiet. There is a nice fire place, kitchen and bedrooms. It is really great

My wife and I stayed at Sherwood Park during a recent holiday to explore all the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. Linda was the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. The property is centrally located, just 6 minutes from Somerville, providing easy access to the entire Mornington Peninsula. Linda would light the fire in the late afternoon to ensue the living area was warm and toasty when we returned each night. Breakfast is provided with a selection of cereal and the most delicious bacon and eggs. Linda even cooked up a batch of wild pine mushrooms foraged from the property. There is plenty of open space to wander around as well as a tranquil seating area next to the pond among the pine trees. Sherwood Park can accommodate a couple for a quiet stay or sleep up to 6 adults if you are traveling with friends. I would definitely recommend Sherwood Park if you are planning a trip to the morning Peninsula.

Having to leave

The home was lovely. Felt very well thought out, e.g. tea set up, water set up ect. Nice location, was pretty easy to get around to various places in the peninsula. Cute decor.

Toilet seat was a bit broken and moved when you sat on it
