Everything was very clean and smelled nice and I was pleasently surprised with how tidy the room is. I liked that the wardrobe was an open one which I prefere and use because its cleaner. The instructions for coming and finding the hotel and our room were clear and didnt require us to search hard or have to contact the property manager.

I would have liked it if the bathroom door in our room was a normal one that was able to close propery and not a slinding door. As well as that the room was designed for a person in a wheelchair which I think should have been communicated to us beforehand.

The property is located in an old industrial building which has been restored and updated beautifully. The secure car parking was one of the main reasons we picked it, but we would return again even if we didn't have a car as the accommodation was great - lovely room and bathroom, great location on a quiet street (2 mins to walk to train station, another 5 mins into the centre) and the family who own the property and serve you breakfast are so friendly! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nothing - it was all great.

The apartment was big, clean, comfortable, and had all the mod cons. It was really quiet in the building. Breakfast was a very good buffet and served right outside our room. Location was literally just around the corner from the train station and just 15 minutes walk from the central old town area. There was plenty of lighting and plenty of electrical outlets in the room, which you don't always get. It was also nice having keypad entry into the building and room so as not to have to fiddle with keys. There were a lot of pizza parlors and other restaurants nearby.

The downside of being near the train station is that if we left the windows open, we could hear the trains running all night long. So we had to keep the windows closed at night. Also, the bathroom was surrounded by glass walls, so anyone else in the apartment could see right in!!! That was REALLY weird. I can't imagine what the designers were thinking when they designed that!!!

Unlike the white sheet, cookie cutter template of a hotel, the repurposed factory/newspaper building felt like staying at a friend’s place who knows how to decorate. Learning how to enter and exit the facility was easy and modern. It made the place feel safer. The living room/dining room/common area was comfortable and beautiful with much information to learn more about Parma. The bed was very comfortable. Despite access closures on one side of the train station and having to go the long way around, it’s still very close to the train station. The owner is delightful. The morning breakfast is great. I even like the details of the decor and plants surrounding the freight elevator. Eco-friendly and aesthetic, affordable… it provided me very good value for my short stay in Parma.

There is nothing to dislike that the owner can change… I disliked that many restaurants are closed from 3:30pm to 7:30pm which means walking outside after dark, but that’s a municipal issue, not a hotel/apartments issue. I travelled by myself and enjoyed my stay.

Beautifully done property, the rooms are very stylish and spacious, each with a story of a famous Italian artist. The breakfast spread was lovely and the decoration of the property in general was fabulous. The property has parking which is enclosed (a major plus in Italy!) and the staff were so lovely. We walked into central Parma in 15 mins, super well located.

Nothing! An extra toilet paper in the room would have been nice, but that’s all!

Very clean and well presented apartment and a lovely kitchen area for breakfast. Pleasant staff who helped us with an early start by providing a bit of food the day before, for the morning. Very handy place for the train station.

There are a few people on the streets in the area that you should keep an eye on. Nothing happened but the neighbourhood looks like it's changing?

Large airy room with kitchen area well equipped. Nearer city centre than at first appeared. Secure parking at no extra cost

Unfortunately the street outside was less than welcoming. Building works, rubbish strewn around and a feeling of a run down area

Very close to the train station (though we had some difficulty finding the place, Google map navigation's fault). Piumaviola is on a very quiet side street. "Gated compound" type of entrance for cars & people. We arrived earlier than check-in time, were able to drop off our luggage, paid the city taxes, and rushed to visit the cloister & the library of the San Giovanni Evangelista before 11:45am Friday closing time. Lovely decorated room (Toscanini room) and the shared kitchen/dining area: a lot of wooden furniture (tables, map storing drawer type of furniture pieces), a nice touch of fake orchids, etc. Retro and tasteful. Even the area by the elevator was lovely. Our Toscanini room was soundproof and had one big room and a small room. A big washroom that also had a heated towel rack. Used to be a typography company so our room and the shared kitchen/dining area have high ceilings. There is a cold water dispenser, a kettle, a fridge for guests to use as well as plates, mugs, glasses, utensils, a microwave, & toaster. Great to have a meal there after making purchases from the supermarket. An observation: It's great that Piumaviola has a washer/dryer (all-in-one type; 1 machine) for the guests to use. Please keep in mind that it is best for those who are staying 2 nights so you will have ample time to hang & dry your laundry completely. I appreciated that the same PIN code is used to access the compound gate, building gate, elevator, and your room. No keys to return as we had to leave early before the included breakfast. Since we couldn't have the included breakfast the next morning, the owner's daughter prepared a tray of sweet goodies for us & placed it in our room. She was easily reachable via Whatsapp since we had to dash to visit the San Giovanni Evangelista before closing time. She patiently answered my questions about thewater dispenser, kettle, all-in-one washer/dryer how-to.

The owner was wonderful and very informative as well as her daughter, I believe her name was Marina. They recommended an amazing restaurant La Greppia, which we ate at twice it was only 10 minute walk. The place itself is very safe because the apartments and parking are behind huge gates. You use the pass codes to get through the gate into the parking lot, then go though another gate door for the building another code in the elevator and then into your bedroom door. Don't worry though it's all the same codes. They have a lovely large room they serve a continental breakfast including hard boil eggs. With tables & chairs also a couch and plants around the room. It's a very welcoming B & B. The Parma train station is right around the block from Piumaviola Beds & Apartments.

The block it's located on is a lot less desirable and is about a good 20 minute walk from the more touristy part of Parma with many more restaurants. Would not recommend walking around at night especially alone, take a cab or uber.
