A charming bed and breakfast that was both stylish and comfortable with a truly fabulous garden. The attention to detail and the obvious care that had gone into creating a truly exceptional guest experience. The room itself was beautifully decorated, with high-quality furnishings and luxurious bedding that made for an incredibly comfortable stay. The attention to detail continued throughout the property, with thoughtful touches like flowers, soft bath towels and fresh milk available for the coffee/tea tray. What really set this bed and breakfast apart is the tranquility created with the pool and garden design in a very busy city within a couple of kilometres from the N1 highway. The grounds were impeccably maintained, with a variety of plants, flowers, and trees that created a peaceful and serene atmosphere with many birds visiting. Enjoyed spending time on the outdoor terrace. If you are looking for a tranquil, elegant and luxurious stay with a truly unique garden design, this is definitely the place for you in Bloemfontein.

We appreciated the peaceful atmosphere after a long road trip and the opportunity to relax in the garden after going for a short walk to stretch our legs. We liked the little touches in the room and the quality of the linen, towels etc. It was great to be able to make a delicious nespresso coffee in the morning before we left.

Not being able to reach Liedjiesbos by phone to arrange dinner. However, we ordered pizzas in town, bought a delicious cold bottle of wine and sat on the stoep enjoying every moment.

Very friendly owners with an eye for interior and details. Friendly staff, good breakfast. We really felt at home. They produce and sell lots of their own products, which we still enjoy back home. Lovely green surroundings, including all different types of plants and flowers.

Because of power cuts, the room became quite warm during the night as the AC was not working. As there was no window but a large glass door, we did not feel comfortable (enough) to open up the door for fresh air. Not sure how to tackle this.

Liedjiesbos is truly exceptional, like an oasis in a rather flat landscape - with all the olive trees and fruit trees and indigenous garden. This time we stayed in a cottage in the orchard - the decor is impeccable and the facilities of the highest quality. We also enjoyed the meze platter in the evening and the breakfast the next morning.

We really cannot criticise anything.

I loved every single thing about this B&B, big and small. From the doggies meeting me on arrival (I was looking for them every day to play with them, so cute and friendly), to the smallest lil details and everything being homemade from what is planted on the property! This is heaven on earth and we just didn’t want to leave.

Exceptional all around. They are a little ways out of town but if you have transportation that’s the best thing because Bloemfontein is a little bit dirty. Initially I couldn’t get my rooms together but they were able to correct that on the second night. I feel Ariana went above and beyond. Cannot talk enough about the feeling of inclusion when we went to harvest olives. They make you feel like family.

Not a thing! I’m returning next year!

A wonderful stopover ! Beautiful well appointed accomodation set in a magnificent indigenious garden. Exceptionally friendly staff that make you feel most welcome.

We were unable to order a dinner platter as these have to be ordered 2days in advance of arrival. It would be appreciated if you could advise guests of this policy when bookings are made.

Liedjiesbos is our favourite stay in Bloemfontein; it feels like visiting family on a farm. We always have a very friendly welcome on arrival; and, love staying in the well equipped and tastefully decorated rooms. There is enough space to unpack your suitcase and hang out some clothing, the bed is comfortable and the TV in the room is big plus. As the B&B does not cater for dinner it is situated near a few restaurants which are a short drive from there - a list of the restaurants are available in the room. Breakfast is excellent and is served in the main building which serves as the Reception and Coffee Room. In summer you can also cool down in the swimming pool on the premises. I highly recommend Liedjiesbos!

The rooms are spacious and furnished tastefully, with crisp white bedding and a gorgeous view of the garden. The property is very idyllic and the surroundings are beautiful and tranquil. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed every minute of it.

What a precious treasure in Bloem. We loved the hospitality and attention to detail. We loved the gorgeous orchard and outside bath and shower under the vines. The cheeseboard was delicious and very generous. Breakfast was a delight. We woke very early to the sweet songs of the birds as promised in Liedjiesbos. Such a refreshing stay. Our only regret is that we couldnt stay longer!
