Friendly, helpful staff, great size room with dining table and chairs, plus couches and coffee table. Comfy beds with lovely warm quilts, air-conditioning, mini fridge, kettle and microwave. Lovely modern bathroom, with shower over a bath and great hot water! Simple continental breakfast is included, with cereal, toast, yoghurt, juice, tea, and coffee. The resident deer are simply gorgeous and getting to hand feed them was very special. There's also an indoor heated pool!

The gardens need to be tended, lots of overgrown trees and weeds.

Good value for a clean, dog friendly room over Xmas holidays. Got a free upgrade to the family suite which is bigger. Great indoor pool. Friendly, helpful receptionist and the deer are SO cute which was a nice bonus of staying here! Deer feeding times are 5pm and 9am.

We would have loved the free continental breakfast before our long drive home but it’s only served between 7-8am which wasn’t convenient as we needed the extra sleep. Would be great if it was served until 9am. Pool looked great but closes 6pm so we arrived too late to use it. Bathroom could do with an upgrade. Couldn’t use the toaster as there were no plates or knives. No restaurants within walking distance so we ordered uber eats for dinner.

Room was clean however under the beds were a little dusty, we noticed as a result of my daughters shoes being caught up on a large strap that came out from under the bed. The free deer feeding was a lovely highlight, many wonderful photos and the caretaker was informative. Great Smart T.V and air conditioner. Beds, linen and towels were all clean and comfortable

Extremely basic breakfast. No cutlery at all, plates or bowls provided despite having a microwave and kettle. One 2 cm piece of soap provided for a family of 4 to wash hands and shower with, 1 shower gel, 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner. No shower cap. Indoor pool was riddled with mold on the walls, no handle on the sliding door entry and exit. Support rail for entry into the pool was dangerously loose and detaching from the ground. Canvas painting hit hubby in the head while sleeping due to not being properly secured. (no injury sustained) Noise between rooms and the outside travelled very easily through the walls. Only minor things really, if we stay here again i will come better prepared. I am a little spoilt too, lol.

Booked for 2 adults 1 infant and had 2 towels and 1 set of small soap/body wash and only half a roll of toilet paper. Arrived after hours so didn't want to bother anyone to get a 3rd towel and more toilet paper (a spare roll would have been appreciated) Bathroom needs updating but still works well and shower was nice and hot.

The location was a nice 5 minute drive from town with a beautiful 180° landscape view of Armidale as you drive into town from the property. Although there was no physical lobby/reception, it was an easy online check-in prior to arrival. The staff greeted us in a friendly manner to hand over the key card and brief summary of facilities at our disposal. It was a pleasant surprise to know that we were able to feed a few tame deer secured by a petting fence towards the back of the premises. They were placid and gentle for my toddler to pet and feed. The rooms were a great size for a family of 4. Usually with hotels you only get an option of two beds. Our room had 2 single beds and one double bed as well. I requested a cot for $15/night. This made it comfortable for my toddler to have his own bed and my baby in the cot. Leaving mr and my mum to have a bed to ourselves. The bathroom was a decent size with a large shower. The continental breakfast was included in our stay and consisted of toast with condiments and several cereals.

I wasn't prepared for how cold it would be in the morning. Definitely pack your warmest clothes and coats.

Love the location and the room. The room was spacious, lighting was excellent and accommodating our needs. Loved the property overall Having two tables with lots of power points were very convenient especially with setting up study area. Having the little kitchen area with the microwave and toaster if we didn’t want to have the Continental breakfast. I might add the variety of cereal, fruit salad and toast was great. The rooms were warm throughout the night. Which is fabulous since the area gets very Cold. The host was lovely and sadly we missed out on feeding the deer simple in the timing. Perfect for older uni students who don’t want to be in dorm rooms.

Just the attention to detail of cleaning down the tables after people have eaten at the table. I get the service to cook the toast to help prevent germs etc. when you have patrons finish eating breakfast good idea to clean the tables straight away, once the plates have been taken away. The bathroom had some very long black hair in the bathtub. This was a little off putting. Not sure if the rooms get air in them when they are not getting used just to make them feel fresh. I did notice musty smell. This is not uncommon for motels to be like this. Just the nice smell makes feel fresh

It was a last minute booking with late check in required at about 1:30am. I got immediate confirmation and Information about how to access the keys. The rooms were clean and we also got a cot for our baby at no extra cost. All the requirements were fulfilled. Very happy with our stay. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I forgot my wedding ring in the room and I came back to pick it up later after checking out. They gave me access to the room again without any problems. Thank you so much to the lovely guy who helped without hesitation. We will definitely staying here anytime visiting the area around. Highly recommended.

They have pet DEER'S !!!! They let us in to feed and pat them it was such a wondeeful experience It's a amazing little motel with friendly helpful polite staff, Very clean rooms Check in was easy and staff were helpful , Complimentary breakfast was lovely with a decent variety!!! We will definitely stop in again when travelling through the area

Nothing can't fault the place

We stayed in a pet friendly room and it was a little different. The room is huge the walls were plywood. I think this was a styling choice but left me wondering if the rooms are finished. Bathroom was fine and the room was fine. Just differently appointed to most motels I have stayed in - much bigger room as well. It was terrific value. Amazed to see that there are actually deer and deer feeding as the motel is on a main road just over 2km from the centre of town. FYI - there was 0 road noise.

There was nothing I didn't like but be aware the furnishings and walls are different. This may not appeal to some people - it didn't bother me. Not sure if this is because we were in a pet friendly room. The room was tiled throughout - I assumed this because it was pet friendly.

It was great to have breakfast included, plain breakfast but adequate. The room was very large, we enjoyed going to see the deer. The gentleman was very nice at ensuring we could take breakfast to our room on Sunday.

Breakfast was very early, between 7 and 8, so no time for a lie in. On the other hand it allowed for longer days of sightseeing, 7 to 9 or 10 would have given more flexibility.
