This hotel was a peaceful retreat. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is refreshing. Our room was fabulous!!! It was super quiet at night, very cool and dark—perfect for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable, too! We purchased one dinner and one lunch from the hotel, and the food was delicious!! If we return to this area, I would use this hotel as a start and stop point because of its proximity to the airport and the beautiful grounds.

The breakfast was okay, but nothing special, as the same items were served each day. I would have liked more selection for the hotel's price point. Besides a couple of extremely loud children, which the hotel doesn't have much control over, our stay was quiet and relaxing.

The different buildings and rooms are very well maintained. They are all on ground floor, so you don't have the sterility of a room on the 15th floor of a high-rise, but when you step out of your room, you're in the middle of an also nicely maintained garden. An interesting point is the geographical location - if you plan to be moving around the north-east of SJ, this is a really good spot. Trafic is heavy and chaotic in and around the capital... To the question about the size of the rooms: if you want a big room, BOOK a big room. It's that easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, also for giving recommendations for the closer environment as well as longer tours.

Breakfast was simple but tasty. Would have probably preferred to find a soda nearby. The pool was chilly but my kids loved playing in it. The cabins were clean and tidy. The grounds were beautiful. I really enjoyed walking around and checking out the plants and native birds.

Pricey taxi ride to the airport. The quality of staff at the front desk varied wildly from one shift to the next but everyone was ultimately very courteous.

The staff is extremely nice. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi were working properly. The room and bathroom were well stocked and clean. But what’s most remarkable, is the beauty of the landscaping with local flowers, plants, trees, and vines in the most beautiful colors and arrangements possible. I asked their landscape technician, Enrique, and he could tell me the name of every little plant and flower in that beautiful garden. The swimming pool was ready, although it was a little windy and cold for my taste, and my families interest to get wet. Also, very nice that all rooms/bungalows are easy to access. the breakfast was very nice and self-serve, with plenty of fruit and excellent juice and coffee.

The quality of the TV was real bad. But Wi-Fi was very strong so we could use our iPads for night movie watching.

Lovely hotel with beautiful garden and swimming pool. 15-20 min from SJO so convenient for when you arrive or leave Costa Rica and want a quiet and pleasant stay. tasty food at the restaurant, rooms were very comfortable

Nothing from our side. Some people may find it a bit isolated if not driving but the hotel shuttle worked fine and can plan around. We also saw several buses on the main road a few minutes from the hotel

It is good to stay upon arrival when one has a late flight. It is not far from the airport, but far enough from the intensive traffic. It is quiet, not far—a fish restaurant. The bungalows have a terrace; the area is green and peaceful. The staff is very friendly. The hotel offers excellent breakfast and has parking on the site.

A bit of struggle is needed for hot water, for better internet and with mosquitoes.

Our family stayed here the night before our flight out of San Jose. Nice and quiet estate with little villas in a gated property in the hills of Alajuela. Cool little shared courtyard with a decent pool to cool off. Easy to get into town and only 20-25 minutes to the airport. The included breakfast was good with gallo pinto, cereal, lots of fresh fruit and juice and coffee.

Rooms aren’t big but just fine for a short stay.

It is conveniently located near the airport but unlike many airport hotels the property includes a nice garden which makes you forget the airport proximity. The small restaurant at site was also apreciated especially on the first night and on the next morning. We enjoyed the the complimentary breakfast.

Quiet location outside of San Jose, this was the perfect landing spot after our flight. Their shuttle picked us up, there are nearby restaurants as well as one at the hotels. The cabañas are comfortable, beds great, there’s a pool, breakfast was included. Beautiful gardens surrounding all of the rooms. Perfect resting spot for us before we headed off to the Pacific coast with a driver the next morning.

The grounds here are beautiful. There is a lot of hand-painted detail that add a nice homey touch. The food at the restaurant was pretty good. The dinner that we had there was fantastic. The breakfast is the same everyday though a little change of would be nice.

There is no coffee pot in the room. And also a mini fridge would be nice. As it is, there is no way to keep drinks, cold or leftovers.
