Amazing staff, lovely locals. Was working in the area and needed a room to stay in. Upon arrival, the ladies checked me in, showed me my room. Being on my own and a lady I wanted somewhere that felt safe and I chose the Miners Arms. Being downstairs to have my evening meal, the staff made me feel comfortable and the locals were very welcoming. Much appreciated as I was nervous staying on my own.
On the whole it was a very pleasant stay. As most hotels I could hear doors banging, and disturbed my sleep. However, this couldn’t be avoided.

We only stayed one night, on our arrival we were allowed to book in early the member of staff that met us was very efficient and very helpful, the night time staff were all extremely friendly and very helpful, we had a bar meal of pizza and it was very good, our sleep was good the bed was comfy, in the morning we were given breakfast that was all that we needed and again the staff were very helpful, if we were in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Great Location nice and quiet good old fashioned pub with lovely food the peri peri pizza is excellent but be warned it has a firey kick not for the feint hearted. Nice selection of ales and spirits good freindly staff and customers.
No complaints i prefer pub b&bs to the boreing big chain hotels at least they have charachter and you dont have to pay the earth for a pint and some food. No complaints at all it was perfect for my stay but maybe thought for improvement the room was a bit cold and maybe could do with a bit of updateing.

Excellent location for a one night stop off after a long motorcycle ride up from Swansea. Booked the Miners as was local to a garage that my bike was having some work done in. Explained to the staff on check in that I'd be leaving before they started serving breakfast so they told me I could have an evening meal instead which was much needed after 5 hours in the saddle. Lots of pub style choices on the menu - went for the cheese and bacon burger which was lovely. Staff and locals very welcoming, to the point that what was supposed to be a quick drink and food turned into a late night and a groggy head the following morning. Plenty of secure car parking available but the landlord even let me store the bike in the cellar for extra security which was much appreciated.
Only stayed the one night so can't really think of anything apart from maybe serving breakfast a bit earlier for those who have an early start - 8am may be a bit late for those staying for work purposes.

Well this was an absolutely lovely place to stay! My campervan was in the garage and this was a brilliant alternative for the evening! The staff here absolutely went above and beyond and made me feel completely at home there- they make the place! The room was clean, warm and homely. This place absolutely exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be staying here again when my van inevitably breaks down in the future. Thank you for a lovely evening!

I was working in Leeds but didn’t want to stay in the city centre it was about 10 mins away, the rooms are basic but totally adequate, staff are great, food is good and the prices in the bar are very good and there’s plenty of parking
For the price I have absolutely no complaints

I had issues with my flights and stranded for nearly 2 days and let them know I was going to check in alot later when check in stops. So extremely accommodating and understanding. So welcoming and no rushing. Bottled water ready for me in the room as requested and breakfast was great. Also helped me on the morning with local taxi firms etc.
Can't name anything wrong. Exactly what I needed

All was as expected so no issues whatsoever.

The hotel is a few miles out of the centre of Leeds but it is on several bus routes. The railway station, with direct links to Cottingley (for Leeds United FC ground) and Leeds (City Centre), is a few hundred metres (four minutes) from the hotel. The station is down a flight of about a hundred steps though not difficult steps. The hotel is a typical friendly Yorkshire pub with a welcoming and helpful landlord and clientele. I wish I could have stayed longer! The bar has a really good selection of drinks, both bottled and on tap. The large room had twin beds and a sink. There was a kettle with a good supply of coffee (caffeinated and Decaf) and tea. I stayed mid week and my room was very quiet and there was no street noise from outside. There is a decent sized free car park behind the hotel though it is on a slight incline so take care if it's icy!
Perhaps a hand rail on the carpeted stairs up to the rooms would be helpful for those of us who are not too stable on our feet, especially when carrying cases. Likewise, perhaps a hand rail at the side of the building to the car park for similar reasons and especially when icy.

Room above a local pub. Nice to have a pint with the locals. Rooms well appropriated. A short walk (albeit down 99 steps) behind the pub to the train station with regular trains to Leeds Centre. Ample secure car parking. Excellent cooked breakfast. Really friendly staff.
The walk back up those 99 steps!
