I think we made the best choice available at the time we booked. We rented a scooter and visited the other beaches as well, but we felt that the beach where we stayed was the best choice in terms of water quality, nearby restaurant options, and the fact that it was quite secluded. It was the last accommodation on the beach, so there wasn’t much other people traffic around. It’s a small bay, very pleasant, with clean, clear, and very calm water. Regarding the accommodation, it was very comfortable, clean, and overall okay—just a few minor details that didn’t affect us. The pool is also very nice and definitely worth spending some time at. The staff was fine—they smiled and provided everything we needed. We rented the scooter from them, and they booked a taxi for our transfer to Phnom Penh.

What we liked less was that, compared to all the other restaurants and resorts on the island (and we explored a lot in our four days there), the food and drinks at our place were the most expensive. We didn’t understand why. It didn’t really bother us—after all, the whole island is expensive for Cambodia—but still, just a thought… Maybe they could align their food and drink prices a bit. For example, everywhere else, a fresh fruit juice was $2–$3, but at our place, it was $5. A small fruit platter was $7, and a coconut water was $3.5, while elsewhere it was $2–$2.5.

Privately located away from the crowd with modern design. Very clean and situated along side of the hills surrounded by natures. Cocktails bar in the swimming pools, you don’t have to get out from the pool to get your drinks while enjoying the view and the sound of the ocean. A beautiful long stretch of white sand beach to enjoy your walk with your love ones. Food is delicious and the staffs are awesome. Highly recommended.

The location is great with big space garden and comfortable room, I would recommend rooms face to sea view is great choice. Property serves a great selection of seafood, especially fresh fish with yummy taste, you can travel there by GTVC speed boat, and they will directly drop you on the pier which belong to this resort.

Bathroom floor slippery

Secluded in the sense that it was farther from the other hotels, but close enough to walk to the main town area for dinner every night. It was like having our own private beach. Plus, the ferry stops right at the hotel’s pier, walk directly to the lobby from the pier. I loved the $15/pp beach bbq buffet (lots of seafood!).

Not really specific to this hotel, but in general, none of the hotels in the area really have paved roads connecting the main backstreet to the hotel, which is inconvenient (we rented scooters). Also prices on the island/at this hotel are very high. $3 for a beer when it costs $1 on the mainland. Wish they would provide mosquito nets above the beds.

The property is nestled away in the hills of Longset Beach. Ideally located if you want to be close to where all the “buzz” is but further enough for privacy and relaxation. If you like the quietness but want access to parties and music this is the best place. As further along the beach near Longset pier is all the backpackers and 2 very big hostels so bare that in mind if you choosing a hotel as a few hotels are located between these and if you are wanting a relaxing trip you won’t get it there. That’s why we chose this hotel as it was the best of both worlds. Also the hotel has one of the only pools on the island that is practically in the sea. The pool bar is great with its poolside bar and a very friendly Kim Sun who takes care of you with amazing cocktails. If you can, book a deluxe sea facing unit they are very spacious and well worth it. Another aspect we where impressed with was their airline thar work exceptionally well and make the stay great especially in the heat.

It would be great if the property could invest in 2 or 3 SUP’s (stand up paddleboards) or even some minimal surfboards. The conditions there are perfect and they are great activities to do when the it’s cloudy or even raining.

Your whole experience will depend on what kind of expectations you come here with. The hotel has everything you need, but don’t expect it will be tip-top. We booked the room with the ocean view. The bed is comfy, the bathroom is huge, but only with cold water (I mean you don’t really need warm water on a tropical island anyway) the AC is classic Cambodian, cold and noisy but you have all room amenities you need. The hotel has a nice pool and the beach is also 10 meters away with enough sun beds and shades to hide. The location is good, 10 minutes walk from the Long Set ferry station and cool bars and restaurants along the way. Luckily it’s far enough from the crowd and the drunk Britt teenagers from Mad Monkey hostel, so not many people walking around. The breakfast is quite tired, you can collect some things to eat, but only few options to choose and not great quality overall. The staff also seemed quite tired and bored throughout the whole stay, they help you if needed, but not with the loveliest smile. But generally I found the local people quite weary, might be from the continues 36 degrees and the annoying Britts all over the place. I would book here again, if I ever come back, I doubt that any other hotel on the island has better quality, only in small details, but go ahead and book this, you wont regret it.

The resort had their own pier which is very convenience for arrival and departure guests, it is very peaceful location. Some staff not well English speaking but they tried to serve you the best possible. I met the owner and his team very friendly and warm welcome, if you tired walk on the beach please do not forget to try their coconut fresh juice, natural drink and empower you quickly. I would like to recommend their happy hour cocktails bar in the swimming pool, it is good price, for lunch time I would to recommend the grouper fish soup which is very fresh and tasty.

Location is AMAZING!!!! The hotel is nice, the room was comfortable, breakfast was ok. The pool area was great, with amazing views. The wifi works perfectly, I was able to take work zoom calls and it was fine. Ko Rong itself is breathtaking and this hotel is set on one of its most beautiful beaches.

Decor is not their strong suit, so don’t go expecting a beautiful aesthetic room, but it has what you need and is comfy. This is not a negative point about the property itself but just something I wish I had known about Ko Rong before visiting so I thought I’d share here: the island doesn’t get much provisions. For example I ran out of sun screen while staying here and all I could get was a super expensive small 50+ SPF tub. Buy everything you will need before coming here and then enjoy this beautiful island :)

A great location at the quiet end of the 4kM beach. Staff were pleasant and did return sped boat booking the day before. Great room that was spacious with an amazing hard bed. Best sleep we had in Cambodia but know not everyone’s preference from previous reviews.

Occasionally the breakfast wasn’t really up and running by 07.00am. You can just take a seat though and watch the sea and morning unfold till the Coffee pot eventually arrives. I know other reviews have commented about not enough sun beds. Maybe a few more wouldn’t go a miss but then you don’t want a beach full of sun beds and no beach. I suppose it’s a balancing act for the hotel.

Location on the beach and restaurant looking directly over sea, staff extreamly welcoming and helpful , quiet part of resort but not too far from the main part.ròms cleaned regularly, mini bar and A/c , food was very good in hotel although a but more pricey than beach bars But still very reasonable, good breakfast included , buffet European and Asian choices , nice infinity pool , some good snorkeling near hotel , sea lovely and stays quite shallow for a distance , very good value.

Well not much tbh , it is a jungle island so you have to be prepared for the bugs etc which do.often find there way into the accommodation, so we did get bitten a bit and did have to cause the odd bug out the room but to be expected , the bungalows and villas are fine and big , I would say a bit like glamping.some.issues with litter and plastic , think gets washed up from.main land , but the hill resort was kept very clean its when you get more into the busier parts of island which is a shame .
