The hotel is located in a very picturesque area, surrounded by greenery and fresh air. The building itself is very beautiful. The room was quite spacious.

The breakfast selection was extremely limited. At the restaurant, both lunch and dinner were presented with a fine dining flair (and priced accordingly), but the taste didn’t live up to it. We were genuinely surprised at how it was possible to ruin such ingredients as shrimp or lobster. The surroundings are quite worn-out. The towels had an unpleasant smell. There was no air conditioning in the room — we were lucky with cool weather, but in hotter conditions, that would definitely be a problem. The toilet in the room was located separately from the bathroom and sink — to wash your hands after using the toilet, you had to walk to the other end of the room and open another door. Very odd.

From the moment we arrived , we were treated like valued customers and staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Our 2 dinners and breakfasts were wonderful , delicious and interesting. Restaurant seating /ambience / service was thoughtful, relaxing with lovely garden views. We arrived quite wearily in our second rental car, near end of family holiday, as our own large new car broke down before our first night in France. We also needed help on organising 5 large luggage items dispatch home to UK. The hotel team were hugely helpful on this. We cannot thank them enough . Highly recommended .

Very nice hotel, with large rooms, very nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and pillows. Very clean, one of the cleanest places we’ve been. Personnel very nice and helpful. It has a huge garden and it was perfect for us after a long day on the road for the kids to run around while we enjoyed drinks on the terrace. The food at the restaurant was very good, but we did not make a reservation in advance and we ordered room service and the personnel was very nice to arrange a table for us on the table on the terrace. A great place that I recommend and for sure we will come again if you are in the area.

The grounds, exterior & interior style were stunning. The restaurant and bar gorgeous. The rooms are big and the breakfast was fantastic. Great place for a wedding.

The shower is an open room in the turret, while stylistically nice it was a bit grubby. Some areas of the room were of need of a refresh. I was served lobster salad on arrival, nice as I was late, but the lobster was off. I took it down to the staff but didn't hear anything back, and still had to pay.

Room was very clean & warm and well equipped just for our 1 night while travelling through France. Restaurant excellent food (beef recommended) but quite pricey. Breakfast excellent and staff really nice. Grounds great for walking the dog and plenty of parking onsite. I don't think that there was a dog supplement which is unusual but very welcome and showed genuine dog friendly approach.

The food was excellent and beautifully presented by the brilliant team of chefs in their black aprons and tall black chef's hats. Their kitchen was on show for diners to see - fascinating to watch them quietly cooking a variety of lovely meals..

We did not like the bath with shower incorporated as part of the bedroom. As no non-slip mat was provided the base of the bath/shower was slippery, and as the glass screen was fixed it was very difficult to get out of the bath. without slipping. The wooden surface of the sink surround was impractical and there was nowhere to leave the bar of soap by the sink when not in use. The wide mirrored surround around the bath was ridiculous because the spray from the shower made it wet, causing water ingress at the bottom corner of the mirrored wall.

Set in very peaceful grounds- the chateau itself is very impressive. Staff are great, as is the food in the restaurant. We have stayed here annually for many years on return journey from holiday and it is consistent in service and experience.

Only two areas really that would make things better for single night visitors: air conditioning in the rooms in the Orangery - they really do get too warm in summer. Also a room service menu that caters for families and late arrivals - 4 or 5 simple dishes. Currently you have to order from the main menu which is classic and really best experienced in the restaurant.

We had been travelling extensively and so was tired in the evening. For our two night stay we ordered room service. It was the best menu for room service that we had seen. The food was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities in our room were excellent.

Would have preferred tea and coffee at breakfast to be made for you rather than using a press button machine.

No air conditioning in room we were allocated - the room we originally booked was not serviced ready on our arrival, so we were moved and the room we stayed in was very compact and had no air conditioning sadly.

Beautiful place. Great location, easy to find and was spot on location for an overnight stay before travelling to the Dordogne. The restaurant is incredible and quality of food excellent.

Very little to complain about. No A/C in the room, and 32C outside it was a bit stuffy, but the provided fan helped.
