We chose the Howard Arms as a good place to stay as it is not far from Hidcote Gardens. We also wanted somewhere that served food on a Sunday evening, which is sometimes difficult to find. The Howard Arms was a good choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and well equipped (we even had a fan in the room which was important because it was really hot whilst we were there). We ate in the dining room on both evenings and the food and service were very good. Breakfast was also just what we wanted and served with a smile.

We didn't find anything we didn't like. It was all just as expected. Great to stay somewhere where all the staff are friendly.

The Howard Arms is fantastic. The pub with the low ceiling, beams and large fire was perfect to sit in with one of their local beers. The food was amazing, we had the fish and a steak. Both cooked brilliantly. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was included and we ordered from the menu the night before. All ready for us in the morning. There was a car park so we could come and go very easily and it was in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds. I would absolutely stay again the next time I am in the area.

In a beautiful quiet village the Howard Arms is a gem. The building is very attractive, facing the green and has a lovely garden behind. The room was spacious and well appointed. It had everything including a fridge with complementary water, tea coffee, biscuits and toiletries in the bathroom. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The meals were all scrumptious, excellent ingredients and big portions. The location made it a central oasis for visiting local places (Bourton on the Water was too touristy for me, but Little Slaughter was a delight, Moreton in the Marsh had a market on while I visited). In the past I've visited Chipping Campden, Hidcote and Stratford upon Avon too, all well worth a visit.

The bedroom was very hot. The hotel did what they could by keeping the curtains closed prior to my arrival and giving me a huge fan in the room. Once the sun went down I opened all the windows but it was still too hot for me. They cannot control the weather but they could invest in air con, or external shutters to reduce the solar impact.

The hotel was a little out of the way in a small village and it was wonderfully quiet there. The room was very cosy, the staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the WLAN worked very well. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were excellent. There was plenty of parking right next to the hotel. It was a shame that I could only stay there for one night as my holiday was over. I would stay there again at any time.

Everything about The Howard Arms goes way beyond expectations; it is a wonderful mixture of old and new.. a very old, beautiful historic building but with all the modern touches you need. The room was huge and had everything, down to very high quality tea and coffee. The dining room is spacious and very slightly quirky. The food was excellent and not crazily expensive, as was the wine. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Such a pretty setting and made to feel very welcome. Beautiful place to rest and relax whilst visiting local area. Clean and very friendly staff. We love this place. Viv was brilliant and made our trip complete with very friendly manner and humour. She’s a diamond! The whole experience was lovely and we love to keep returning here.

I could not recommend this hotel enough - every aspect has exceeded our expectation. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. The amenities are thoughtfully placed and had everything you can think of. Breakfast was included in the rate and the portion was very generous. Wish we could stay for longer!

The Howard Arms has a warm, inviting feel to it. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds extremely comfortable – I had a great night’s sleep. The chef even came in early at 6:15 to prepare breakfast for us before we left, which was above and beyond. A really lovely stay.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about my stay.

Everything! Can't rate this charming, quaint Inn highly enough. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. We arrived earlier than the designated check in time due to an early flight time and the staff kindly allowed us to freshen up in another room until our own room was ready. The bedrooms are stunning and we genuinely have never slept so soundly. The mattresses are so comfortable you literally don't want to get up. The aesthetics of the Inn are so apt for respecting the old and timeless traditions while enhancing the new. The Inn has a lovely mix of vintage decor with also new touches of comfort and warmth. You will happily soak up the environment and ambiance this beautiful Inn has to offer. The food and drinks were lovely too. The Inn is located 15 mins drive from the lovely town of Stratford Upon Avon which is steeped in history and also equally aesthetically pleasing. If you're interested in Diddly Squat Farm or possibly seeing the famous proprietor it's about 35 mins drive away and is well worth a visit. The area has lots to do or is also perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The fresh wild flower arrangements were absolutely stunning too. There were fresh floral displays on each dining table and it was a lovely touch. We'll definitely return and have already recommended it to family and friends.

I wouldn't change a thing. The place is perfect. There is nothing that needs to be improved. I feel very fortunate to have found this place on booking.com.

A beautiful old Inn full of atmosphere. The bedrooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and have everything you could possibly need. The bed was huge and so comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was fresh, tasty and plentyful. Breakfast was great too. Everything was simply wonderful. We look forward to staying again soon
