The food was amazing, well above what you'd expect for "pub grub". Usually you get microwaved stuff from Brake Bros, this was all cooked fresh, with good quality meat from the butchers and things like excellent quality tomatoes that tasted of tomatoes! The breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel in years. The service was great, very attentive, the landlady and landlord who have recently taken over have clearly put in a lot of work, know what they're doing and are doing a great job. The pub was busy with locals which is wonderful to see. It was exceptional value for money, I think you would pay about 60% more for similar in that area, or in fact more for less in most places.

I have given a fair marking as the staff were extremely helpful, but I didn't actually stay because Booking.Com had overbooked the College Arms. Not the staff's fault and they did their best to help me find an alternative stay; however I did have a meal there (was getting too late to get ded where I ended up) and thank-you College Arms; Food was excellent and I enjoyed the pub atmosphere. I will be back to stay (but will book direct!).

The host were amazingly kind and friendly with us, they gave us suggestions in the area and very attentive. Their prepared us home made English breakfast that was very tasty and generous, and set a selection of breakfast products such as soft drinks, porridge, etc. in the bar to enjoy. The room was very cozy and despite having a pub downstair it was quite quiet. I would definitely repeat!

Great value for money. The staff and locals at the pub were super welcoming. Comes with a bonus pub dog, who was a little cutie. Bedroom is basic, but it was cheap and close location to the wedding venue we needed to get to. Definitely get the breakfast when you stay, super tasty!

Not a massive issue but we couldn't get a signal on the TV in our room. The bed was comfy but a bit squeeky (again, not a massive issue). Think the photos made it look slightly different but it was still great value for money.

Great place, great location for Stratford and the surrounding areas. Friendly staff, clean room, and very tidy for a period building with plenty of tea and coffee in rooms.

The only minimal downside was the wait for breakfast. Breakfast served at 9 am on weekends, no problem with that, but I think the chef forgot to turn up at that time on the Saturday, so we had to wait until 10.15, not a big issue but it does set your plans back for the day. I'm sure it was a one-off and shouldn't affect your decision to stay. Would still recommend the College Arms.

Such an atmospheric, historical pub in a stunning Cotswold village. We were so late arriving as we drove down from Inverness. A very yummy venison pie with 3 times fried chips to die for was cooked for us as kitchen was re - opened. Breakfast was ***** what an amazing chef the landlord is. Only been under new owners for 5 months and you can tell they are going to be a runaway success - love the dog 😊 hope your new baby arrives safely. We will be back but for longer next time.

Very clean, plenty of teas and coffees etc. Lovely little hotel in a picturesque village not far from Stratford town. Didn't eat at the hotel as we ate earlier, but food smelt delicious, and my daughter is never up early enough to have breakfast at hotel stays.

TV didn't work properly, kept losing the picture. It was the hottest day of the year, and unfortunately, no fans were available, so we had to keep the windows open, and it was quite noisy as we were over the front beer garden.

Great pub! Very tasty food, brillant breakfast, super nice staff. Quiet and beautiful area. The bedroom/bathroom was small and old but that's expected from an old inn. It was nevertheless well arranged, nicely decorated, and clean.

Our shower did not work very well, with either boiling or cold water, and making a really loud noise. Nothing too bad but could do with repair.

My fiancée and I loved everything about The historical College Arms 😍 from the friendly landlord/lady the amazing food 👌 and historic building of Henry The VIII grade 1 listed building and the pretty village green with thatched / stone cottages with a beautiful duck pond, stunning St Swithin's Church in a picturesque setting,the ideal place to stay if your visiting Stratford upon Avon. Tobias we will be back to try your legendary roast dinner!! 😋
