Before we arrived the hosts were extremely helpful and when we arrived they were immediately welcoming without being intrusive. Once we had settled we were offered filtered coffee (or tea) and then the hosts offered their extensive knowledge of the area to help us make our stay more enjoyable. This hospitality transformed our ‘stay over’ into a ‘holiday’. Although we were only there for one night, it felt like a proper break. The room was perfect with lots of attention to the smallest of details: bottled water by the bedside, biscuits with the tea and coffee facilities and shampoo / body wash in the bathroom. The breakfast the following morning was superb with home made jams and marmalades making the meal even more personal. I would highly recommend Moss Cottage.

As an octogenarian solo traveler, I am most conscious of my surroundings, most particularly regarding security, safety, and cleanliness. Moss Cottage, of the numerous locations at which I stayed throughout my month-long sojourn, was unequivocally where I felt the safest and most welcomed. Bill and Walter, the proprietors, went out of their way to make each of their guests feel at home. Their breakfast was of five-star quality and the tea and biscuits in the room were an added bonus. The warmth of their graciousness was sincere and generous.

The host bob was very friendly and helpful he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to enjoy our stay. He was very helpful giving us directions and was very knowledgeable about Stratford-upon-Avon. The breakfast was delicious. The property is small which has 3 rooms which adds to the family like feeling whilst dining. The room is basic but pleasant enough with simple decoration. It is very clean and has a nice ensuite bathroom. It's a 15 to 17 minute walk to the town so it is fairly close to being able to access the town by walking as we didn't travel to Moss cottage by car and the buses run infrequently but the number 28 does serve that area. The host was knowledgeable about the theatre and gave us a guide of the play which was invaluable. It was a very enjoyable stay and we would of liked to of stayed longer it's suitable for a couple or staying as a single person. We recommend wholeheartedly staying in this property.

If a person had mobility problems then it would be a bit difficult to have a room upstairs.

Moss cottage is located within easy walking distance of Shakespeare attractions and town centre. It is a homely,clean property with all the facilities that you would hope for during a short trip away. The hosts Bill and Peter were extremely accommodating throughout our stay and went above and beyond to meet our dietary requests at breakfast. They are both friendly,obliging hosts who are eager to share their knowledge and provide maps ,leaflets of the local area They also serve and sell their delicious jams and marmalade. They go above and beyond to ensure that their guests have the best stay possible.

Great location, slightly outside of the main part of town but perfectly positioned if you are also hoping to visit Anne Hathaway's cottage by foot during your stay. Bill is a fabulous host and takes plenty of time to make sure his guests feel comfortable and was happy to impart us with his knowledge of the local area. This is a great value B&B and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family and stay here again in future.

It is within walking distance to every area of Stratford. The owner was very accommodating and even fed us a bite when we arrived late from the theatre since there were minimum options and we were tired. Bill offers a wonderful breakfast with choices that he cooks fresh based on your time schedule. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

Bill was on hand and couldn't do enough for us, he was so lovely. Our twin room was ready early, it was lovely and clean with plenty of storage space for 2. Bill was knowledgeable about the local area and theatre shows and made suggestions for us. We had a comfortable sleep and the bathroom facilities were modern, clean, and functional. Breakfast was amazing and was served with care and kindness. There was a good selection of food available (some was homemade) and again, Bill was very attentive. Overall.... A very nice stay and I would definitely recommend.

Staying at Moss Cottage was like being at home. Our absolutely charming host Bill went out of his way to welcome us and to provide every comfort. His breakfast is superb, including homemade bread, yoghurt and his partner's Gold Star winning marmalade. The yoghurt, granola and honey 'first course' was also worthy of a gold star. All this in addition to a full English brekker! There's parking, the rooms are comfortable and clean and we were able to eat in the dining room in the evening as we were travelling with my very elderly Mum. Moss Cottage is walkable to the town - about 45 minutes and there's a nice pub (The Bell) in the other direction.

this is a very charming place owned by a very charming couple, who take a lot of interest in making it nice and welcoming for guests, and who go out of their way to interact, to be helpful, to offer great suggestions. They even did me a big favor which I did not expect. They are theater buffs and they make homemade marmalade. They’re knowledgeable, interesting, fun…and above all, kind.

only that it’s a but outside the center so if you don’t have a vehicle, you wind up doing a lot of walking. But walking in Stratford is far from being a bad thing, so this isn’t much of a complaint.

I really appreciated the hosts' kindness and generous hospitality - they are incredibly friendly and thoughtful... I was welcomed with tea and cake on my arrival. The breakfast options are fantastic as well and there is a great selection of refreshments in the room. It's a really lovely, comfortable place to stay and far more than just somewhere to sleep. Easy to walk to town or on a bus route if needed. Theatre-enthusiasts will find kindred spirits here. Moss Cottage is a gem!
