Our three-night stay was beyond our expectations! The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Our room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was a tad small but certainly not a deal breaker. The restaurant was extremely convenient with a beautiful view looking out onto the lake. We had breakfast there each morning and the food was great. The property is lovely, large, and well-thought-out. There are designated smoking areas outside with picnic tables and benches. The pool was very nice and mostly protected from the wind. It was great to be able to park our motorcycles directly in front of our room. We had a large balcony overlooking the lake. The location is perfect. It's basically at the beginning of the Cabot Trail and close to Sydney, the Louisbourg Fortress, etc. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this motel. You won't be disappointed!

Great motel with a beautiful view of the Bras D'Or lake. Very comfortable and clean and just a seven minute drive from Baddeck. There is a restaurant with a particularly stunning view and good food for reasonable prices. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our needs (we had booked the wrong type of room by accident and they helped us correct our error easily and with no additional charge!). Would absolutely stay again, great access to the Cabot trail, the lake and Baddeck.

Our family of 4 had a great stay here for one night as we travelled the Cabot Trail. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a bit of a retro vibe. Our kids loved the pool for a nice refreshing dip after a long day. The restaurant on site seemed nice, though we didn't eat there. We enjoyed visiting Baddeck and the family-friendly town there with great restaurants.

Location on a hill overlooking the water at sunset was a great start. The restaurant far exceeded my expectations with super friendly staff and excellent food --- the homemade fries were a revelation, the fish was done to perfection. Breakfast runs the gamut from death by calories to milk and cereal and accommodates all. But it's all topped by the always present and congenial management and team, that made our first stay in a motel with a service dog a pleasure.

Exceptional view from the lake facing queen rooms. You wake up to this tranquility every day. Rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant on site offers good food. Amazing property and friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay here.

Every thing was great, however the restaurant used to close for dinner at 8pm. It would have been better if it closed at 9pm.

Property well maintained and clean. Easy to find and easy access. Beautiful view of the lake. Close to town. Restaurant on site although we did not use it we may next time as we will definitely stay there again.

Cozy, cottage feel to it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice view of the waterfront from the front window. Lots of room for parking. Overall, a very pleasant stay for my tour of the Cabot trail, and beautiful Cape Breton Island. Thank you!

I'm being picky here, but the only issue I had was that the wifi signal was a bit weak. I didn't use it much and had no issues when I did, other than a bit slow, but something to keep in mind. Also I feel like it could be a bit drafty in the wintertime as well, but I was there in August so can't confirm.

The view was beautiful. There was a wonderful restaurant on site which served breakfast and dinner. We ate there for 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners and were very happy with the meals but disappointed that the french toasts came with table syrup instead of maple syrup. The rooms are cozy and a little dated but comfortable and clean. Everything worked in our room and in the second room, there was an issue with the bathroom fan which was promptly fixed in the morning. Heater worked well as it was cold and wet while we were there. Lovely balcony with chairs but it was too cold and wet to use them. Staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

Bathtub was showing some wear and furnishings were somewhat dated. Had to go outside to get to dining room which is fine unless it is raining.
