Elsa was really welcoming and super nice host. She also made a bread in the morning for the guests which showed her enormous hospitality, not to mention it was super tasty! We stayed in one of the cottages and we could use the common kitchen area and showers (with washing machine and dryer) that are also for the campers during summer time. The cottage was also equipped with a kettle and small fridge, also had a small bathroom with a toilet and sink. We only spent a night here, but it was really relaxing and the scenery of the land is just simply beautiful! There is also a hot tub and sauna that you can use until 11pm. We would definitely return one day!

Elsa welcomed and showed us everything when we arrived. She is a nice and sweet woman, everything is decorated in a special way, we loved it. We slept in a cozy cottage where we had a toilette and a sink, the bed was super comfortable. The shared areas are huge, you can sit in one of the many sofas while enjoying a warm dinner, the kitchen is full equipped. For us, the most special thing was to enjoy the hot tub and sauna at night, we would love to stay more nights here. Elsa also prepared bread and left some cheese and jam in the fridge for the guests to have a good breakfast. Thank you Elsa!!

with the cottage bbq, sauna, washing machine and hot tub usage was included - every morning a fresh loaf of slightly sweet bread, cheese, milk and marmalade awaited us - it is close to a lake and has beautiful surroundings - cottage came with access to a separate kitchen

it was not visible from the pictures, but both the sofa and bed are in one room, which made it a bit uncomfortable for four people - showers are shared with the camping site (two showers each for men and women as well as one separate shower for mixed usage), which could get crowded some times

The most welcoming accommodation during our road trip by far. Elsa's loving nature and hospitality made it easy to feel at home, so we decided to spontaneously stay for another night. The absolute best part is the two sweet dogs and the clever cat that brighten up your day. Elsa's freshly baked bread is simply delicious and such a great start to the day! The accommodation is decorated with attention to detail, with lots of handmade decorations by Elsa herself. It creates a beautiful atmosphere. If the roads aren't completely closed off, dare to take the journey; we promise it's worth it!

Everything tbh - we were too tired after a hike to Studlagil. When we entered the property, met Elsa and checked in, I think the energy returned. The hot tub & sauna was a gift to my tired legs. Kitchen to room, everything was designed thoughtfully from a barn to a homestay and well equipped. Jfyi, the shower is common - but very big, spacious and clean. Hence it would not be an issue. If weather is nice and you are lucky, you may get to see some auroras too like us 😊

We were welcomed by Elsa who immediately made us feel at home. She showed us round this beautiful home which had 2 toilets and kitchen complete with milk and items for breakfast. The bread was absolutely delicious and the whole place made us feel really relaxed. We even got to meet some of her animals who were wandering around who were lovely. Elsa also gave us advice on the route to take based on the weather conditions which was really appreciated. The room itself was large and the bed comfortable. If we're ever in Iceland again I would definitely stay here again.

The hostes is SUPERNICE !! The place is beautiful and breathes love and care, the room charming and spacious. Well equipped kitchen with wonderful coffee and delicious home made bread!! The surrounding is breathtaking. Not a sound but the wind and nature. We had a great night sleep - the beds are so comfartable. Not an issue that bathroom is shared- there are 2 right next to the room. Would have loved to stay longer than just one night - perfect place to have a little rest in between while touring Iceland. Purety at its best.

Elsa is an excellent host! Rooms are very quiet, clean and cozy, equipped with tv and beautiful window views overlooking the green area around. Honestly, if I’m back in Iceland I’ll make sure to make a stop. Also, after I accidentally left my glasses at the accommodation Elsa kindly coordinated with other guests to help me get them back. Forever grateful for her patience and help throughout!

The lady who handed over the keys gave us a nice presentation. We were happy to use the sauna, and we were also happy to have breakfast (bread baked by the lady herself and some spreads and coffee) prepared by the lady. Interesting location, beautiful surroundings, in short, we would be happy to return. Thank you, we were very satisfied.
