The hotel was absolutely lovely. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated. The food in the restaurant was delicious, definitely worth the money. All the staff are nice and friendly.

1. You couldn't get straight into the pub/restaurant where you eat breakfast & evening meals. You had to go outside and back in the front hotel access area. Not a big deal, unless the weather sucked. 2. Our shower had no hot water. We told them, and they'll check it out. Should be an easy fix. Saying all that, we definitely would return.

Stuart and staff very welcoming and friendly. Very large bedroom and large bathroom. The balcony was great addition too.

Although the breakfast was plentiful. It would have been desirable to have a cooked version. The fruit salad was amazing though, and although porridge wasn't on the menu we jokingly commented its omission for Scotland, we were presented with a bowl each morning, too. We also ate and spent an evening in the restaurant/bar. The food was good there too. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The Redgarth is a pub with rooms. Our room was large and comfortable. The bar and restaurant area were cosy and relaxing. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a continental style based on ham and cheese. Our evening meals were excellent with a good selection of vegetarian dishes. There is also a wide selection on non-alcoholic beers and lagers. The hotel provides a EV charger for £20 per night. We used the Redgarth as a base for visiting some of the many historic castles in the area.

A warm welcome awaits you at the Redgarth. The owner, Mr Stuart, goes that extra mile to make you feel at home. No complaints about the room. It was big and well appointed. We had a beautiful view over the Bennachie hills. The Redgarth is also a pub frequented by the locals and the food is very good and most ingredients are locally sourced. The fish and chips they serve was excellent. Breakfast is continental style with fresh fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese and bread and some pastries. Special mention for the very helpful staff.

Nothing of note but I would have liked a fried or scrambled egg at breakfast and would have been prepared to pay a supplement for these items.

We loved it and greatly recommend it! The owner is just an amazing guy, putting his whole heart into The Redgarth. Our room was enormous, with great view, incredibly clean, modern but very stylish and it had everything needed. The bed is big and comfortable. The breakfast is made with love. Each morning, we had a big bowl of fresh, tasty fruit waiting for us on the table, tea, bread platter, selected jam and honey and and.. The restaurant itself is also just lovely - you can eat for lunch and dinner, with a great menu of selected dishes, with a professional chef in the kitchen but also a fully stacked bar with different beer and whiskeys. The owner is open to chatting with you and overall leaves you with a warm feeling as you've just arrived home after a long absence.. We were there for only two nights but we would love to come back! 10/10 would recommend with both hands and feet. 😄

Everything was perfect.

Had a nice relaxing stay. Stuart the owner was very pleasant & attentive. The room & en suite was bright, modern, cosy and very clean. The bed, pillows & duvet were very comfy. Good choice at breakfast. In a quiet location within Old Meldrum. No traffic noise. Plenty of parking. Had our evening meal in the bar. Good menu choices and tasty food. Conscientious waiting staff. The cleaning lady was pleasant and very thorough, the whole place was spotless. We would recommend the Redgarth 100%. You won’t be disappointed.

The room was big, clean and recently refurbished.

We could have used some house slippers. The food in the restaurant did not rise near the level of the accommodation. My ribeye, for instance, was 1cm thin and "grilled" in a pan... When you go to eat in the countryside you do not want to see supermarket frozen fries!

Stuart and his staff were fabulous- hospitality at its finest. Excellent meal in the restaurant in the evening- breakfast was scrumptious - the attention to detail was amazing and genuine. Rooms were spacious and comfortable- very clean and well maintained. Will definitely consider returning ❤️

It was very comfortable and clean with plenty of space in the room. Very quiet location. Lovely staff.

Having to walk outside to get to breakfast as it was very wet! Disappointed that for the money that there was no cooked breakfast but the continental breakfast was good.

The rooms were exceptional! Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Could not fault them. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were so attentive. Stuart the owner/ manager is very knowledgeable of the area and was helpful in every way. Could not fault this place.
