There are so many things to like: the property location is downtown near many shops, restaurants, and lovely views. Our room was immaculate. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was excellent. We especially enjoyed the daily "happy hour" with cocktails of your choice and a snack. We met other guests - all very nice - and this added to the welcome feeling.
If I had to find something negative, it would only be to inform guests that there is no elevator and the second floor has rather steep stairs. This could matter to some. The bathroom was a tub/shower and could present a problem for some since the sides were quite high. And one other small item.. the plugs by the bed were a bit far away. Again a minor thing. We liked the hotel so much that we booked again for Xmas.

The manager Natasha and Christian (we stayed twice) were great and made wonderful cocktails at happy hour, where we met, on both occasions, really nice people. The location is great. Walking distance to a few restaurants and a few wonderful little shops. It’s a longer walk to downtown Cambria, about a mile, and a bit longer to the ocean but doable if you like walking and if you don’t, then it’s only a few minutes drive to both. The rooms we stayed were large and clean

Everything was nice, it could have been a bit cleaner with more towels and toilet paper in the rooms. Also, it was really cold when we stayed and the extra blanket available was not warm. Thank goodness we brought some of our own blankets. The pillows were horrible, feather filled pillows that were flat as pancakes and small squares not the regular rectangular pillow size. But I believe that is some new standard or something in hotels because they all have those horrible pillows now a days. Our room was right next to a couple with a small child who screamed at all hours of the night. The parents were even loud and obviously didn’t care about being quiet so that was not fun. Other than those things, it was super close in walking distance to everything, food and shops so we would stay again

They upgraded us to a suite. A lovely surprise since it was our Anniversary. The room was on a side street off Main Street so the location was perfect. And quiet. Christian checked us in and made the most delicious cocktails that they served every nite we were there. The complimentary happy hour there was so much fun. We met people from all over in a beautiful and comfortable lounge area. I must say though it was Christian who made the happy hour and so many other things perfect. They are lucky to have him.
It was our first time staying there, although we have been to Cambria many times and we will be staying at The Rigdon House in the future. I can't think of anything negative to say about our stay.

The location of the Rigdon House is excellent. There are restaurants and cute stores on the same street, and it's a half block from Main Street, where there are more restaurants, bars and shopping. Our room was huge. Big enough to have a very comfortable sitting area, plus the king-size bed. The bathroom had been nicely updated and was also large. We were assigned the ADA suite, which may have been the only room available when we booked. I don't know if all of the other rooms were as large. They have a nightly happy hour, which includes two free drinks. They were excellent cocktails. There are 13 guest rooms. Everything is clean, comfortable and updated. We will be back the next time we visit the Cambria area.

Huge room, nicely decorated, very clean. Loved having a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric kettle & pour-over in the room. The electric fire provided ambience & some heat. Also loved the all-day snacks available in the public rooms. Happy hour drinks (two per guest with the room) were appreciated, giving a chance to chat with other guests & learn about their experiences & recommendations in and around town. A table & chairs for eating/games in the room, & good, comfortable spaces inside to sit for games, etc., as well as a wonderful patio and firepit out back. I appreciated the ability to self-serve extra towels, etc. as needed.
The bed was really soft. I like a soft bed, but it was too soft for my partner. Loved the electric fireplace, but it took a long time for the huge room to heat up. Would have appreciated bedside lamps with controls at the bed.

We absolutely loved almost everything about this quaint boutique hotel. We had a lovely upstairs deluxe suite that was very comfortable! Their employee, Christian, checked us in and was so good about showing us all around the property and informing us of the amenities, etc. Great happy hour; Christian made excellent drinks and and an appetizer and we met so many other guests who were visiting from other areas. We enjoyed the large fire pit/patio for awhile in the evening, so cozy! We plan to go back again!
There were a lot of stairs to our room so only because we are "older", we would probably get a room on the main level next time. There are only 13 rooms in the hotel to pick from but I'm sure any other room without all of the stairs would be great as well. This isn't a complaint but the couch (I think it was a "hide-a-bed") and love seat were a little dated but they were certainly doable. All of the other decor was so cute; we loved the bathroom floor because it reminded us of ours at home!

The rooms are very spacious and clean. It was quiet and it had a nice positive vibe.
The shower in our room backed up within 2 minutes of showering. It was a walk in shower so unfortunately you would get water all over the floor which was a little dangerous. The staff doesn’t arrive until around 10 am so we didn’t tell anyone because we were already out enjoying our day. The outside of the property is a bit run down and could use a paint job.

This is a lovely, quaint hotel in the centre of Cambria in close proximity to the most amazing shops and restaurants. We were a bit late in arriving (on a road trip) but the check in staff were still there to greet us on arrival and show us to our rooms and the facilities. Love the happy hour idea and the outdoor seating with fire pits means you get to enjoy a relaxing evening. The rooms were spacious, clean and more than what we needed. Would highly recommend eating at Robins (across the road) - fantastic dining experience.

The staff at the Rigdon House were very friendly and helpful. Our requests were filled. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities needed. The bed was large and very comfortable. The patio out back was nice to sit and warm yourself by the firepit. The entertainment and happy hour were also a welcome surprise. We would definitely stay here again!
I would just recommend to add a hand held shower wand to better clean off your body as the showerhead was very high.
