The sea view was nice, not exactly up close but satisfiable. Regarding cost of the room for two nights and parking, it was adequate given the time of the season. Comfortability wise, the beds were soft to our liking and the overall room to the bathroom looked up to date. Our amenities came with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, icebucket and plenty of charging ports. Overall, our needs were met and cleanliness of the room itself was good, quiet.

There was not much to dislike apart from my personal peeves regarding the bathroom window screen having webs and the window glass facing the seaside needing very minor window washing. Im sure it can't be helped if there is not much staff but a very minor consideration nothing horribly bad. Also, I am not sure if it would matter much to anyone else but as a side note the food vending machine might need some maintenance with the number pad panel. It was unable to correspond to the numbers I kept selecting for specific slots. I would hate to see the food in it go to waste.

Location! It was within walking distance of the shore, right off Highway 1. We were in the area for a family event, so it was a place to dress and sleep. The front desk let us into our room early to dress, which helped us. It is an affordable place to stay centrally located to Hearst Castle, the beach, and Cambria. We paid a little extra for a cot, which allowed my family of 5 to stay in one room.

It provided everything we needed and was clean. If we didn't have a car, getting places and eating would have been a problem. We were satisfied with our stay and would happily return on our next visit to the area.

Simple but very comfortable place. The room looked newly renovated, it was clean and very spacious, equipped with all the usual amenities of US hotels (etc. coffee, microwave, fridge) and it even came with a seaview. The place was ideally located for excursions: the beautiful William Randolf Hearst Memorial State Beach is just a few minutes away by car, the beach packed with elephant seals is no more than a 15-minute drive. I did not visit Hearst Castle but it's also reachable within minutes. At barely above 100 bucks, it was great value for money.

Location and the view were great! Had a view of the ocean. It's very central when we travel from Los Angeles to San Fran which we do at least once a year. Also, when our baby wet the bed, they were quick to replace our bed sheets which was just moments when we got there. Great staff!

The bathroom needs a little touch ups here and there. But I mostly think because it's not up to date. It took a while to realize the heater was a knob on the lower side of a wall. But it heated the room quick.

We wanted just a sleepover place, nothing spectacular, so we were positively surprised by nice reviews and also low price of this place. It is really value for money - spacious clean room with big bed and good location if you want to explore San Simeon and other interesting places nearby.

The motel itself doesn't look very welcoming from outside and it could use some renovation but as I said, room itself was nice and I believe you will not find anything better for that price range in San Simeon area.

Great motel, clean and comfortable. Would recommend for a one night stop off when road tripping. Bed was comfortable and the room was a good size and had useful facilities (fridge, microwave and coffee maker).

The walls were very thin and you could hear everything, which was only really an issue in the morning when some of our neighbours woke up very early - but if you bring earplugs with you then it's fine

Just as requested, we got a sea view room, upstairs and away from stairs and ice machine. Clean as usual, and the bed was awesome. For once a fridge was set to the right temp!! The freezer kept our ice packs frozen, while keeping our food cool, but not frozen... This is hard to find any more! This was a free night stay, due to comps from Booking for being a long time member. <3

The door to the bathroom needed to be adjusted (wouldn't close completely, seemed to be offset just enough to not close. Mirror had a couple of broken corners, and the faucet was off center, just enough to annoy...

Pool was clean and heated. it was quiet in our room. Our room had everything what is needed and it all was working: microwave, tv, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer. You can walk to the beach.

Dining options around the hotel are limited, but 5 minutes drive will bring you to Cambria, with plenty of options to eat.

We like this hotel and have a long history staying there. The location is great and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Maria is wonderful and remembers us each time we stay.

This last stay we were disappointed with the recent renovation of the room. Although pleasing to look at and function was good of the items replaced, we go there to relax and unwind. Why do we need a desk in an ocean view room. They have removed our beloved table and chairs altogether. We had to bring our beach chairs up each evening and when we ate on the room or played cards or games we used our cooler so we could sit in front of the window and enjoy the view. Please bring the table and chairs back and room would be perfect once again.

The girl at the front desk was very nice and polite. The room itself was clean and had a great view of the Ocean. No AC but it was not necessary as there was a constant ocean breeze coming in through the windows. Very pleasant. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Had a micro and fridge as well. Also had a wild turkey roaming around the area which was amusing. The location was perfect for our stay as we roamed between Cambria and the Elephant seals lookout. Great Mex restaurant right down the street and a couple others further on down. Don't listen to the bad reviews. Unless you are pretentious and extremely picky, this place is just fine for an economy option. Some people expect the Ritz Carlton from some of these smaller places which is unrealistic. The cell signal is weak here so the Wifi is a must for most carriers except T Mobile for some reason. The Wifi is also not very fast so if streaming is on your agenda, you may find it a bit slow for that. Around 5-7 Mbs. Ice machine downstairs as well as vending machines for snacks and drinks. Overall, this place met our expectations and we would stay here again when in the area.

It's a preference but we would have liked to have seen tile floors not carpet. Maybe a little faster Internet/Wifi. That's about it. I mean if you want the Ritz, pay a lot more and stay at a 4-5 star place. If you want a nice clean economy option, this is your place.
