The ocean walkway is fabulous, the rooms are clean and cozy, fabulous patio with view of ocean, cookies were great and the staff is very friendly and accommodating!!

We love Sea Otter Inn and have stayed several times in the last 3-4 yrs. We will be returning again. My only less than fabulous rating would be that the property is beginning to show wear and tear, dry rot in window boxes, paint on vanity needs refurbish, and our window would not latch closed. In my opinion, wear and tear is unavoidable for the most part with location directly on the ocean so this would not prevent us from staying again, just something to keep an eye on.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sea Otter Inn. We made good use of the beautiful spa/pool area. The fires and towels were a lovely touch by the pools. We felt very welcome, safe, and happy staying here. The breakfast picnic baskets were super cute and delicious, such a nice touch! The biggest room we stayed in for our entire American trip and we wish we had booked two nights instead of one, such a beautiful area!

It's a small thing really but we were booked in for 4 people (2 adults and 2 teens) but had to pull out the sofa beds (which were admittedly very comfy) and there were not enough pillows for everyone to be fully comfortable.

Breakfast was delivered to the room in the morning which was a burrito and juice which was a nice surprise and tasty. Lovely in the cold weather to have a fireplace in the room. Very spacious king room. Right across from the water. Close walk to the Moonstone Bar and Grill which was a beautiful meal and view of the sunset and ocean.

Not able to see the ocean from the property due to the reed across the road. Only a single level structure. Walls are paper thin and could hear the neighbours in their rooms which was a little disappointing.

Everything about this place was great! Beautiful clean room with plenty of space. The location is amazing. Moonstone beach is right across the street and there are 2 restaurants, multiple tasting rooms and a coffee shop all within walking distance. The breakfast in a picnic basket really did add a romantic touch. Main street is a few minutes away, but honestly we didn't care to leave the property because we were soaking in the views and enjoying the fire pits. This is a great place to relax and unwind.

The accent rug in the room was dirty/stained and took away from the cleanliness of the room.

Pleasant room. Comfortable bed. The breakfast basket was a nice touch. And Zoe was marvelous; very helpful and welcoming.

The candle in the lobby was not good for my asthma.

I love everything about this place, from its walkability to its close proximity to the ocean. The rooms are lovely and the fireplace is a nice addition, especially during the winters when I visit. The Ocean View King rooms are 100% the place to be. I haven’t ever been able to use the patio the two times I’ve stayed here due to the weather, but it’s been nice to be able to have the screen door closed while we listen to the rain and the ocean waves.

I would rather not as we have been staying here for years, and with all the positive reviews, it is harder to get reservations---I would like it to be a secret! In all honesty, it is the friendliest, nicest place to stay, right across from the ocean. It truly is a gem! They have the pool, hot tub, firepits, and a breakfast option in the morning. (They do have a wine package if you want.)

Nothing about Sea Otter. However, since it was a Mother's Day gift from me to my mom, I wish my daughter, DIL, and niece would have been able to complete a "girl's get away". Mom would have loved having the next gen join us.

Staff was wonderful. Knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant and friendly. We had a great room with a beautiful view.

The bed was new, but too firm for us. Our stay was great. The only thing we were displeased with was the company we booked the room through; Booking.com. Their policies are ridiculous (Charging your credit card before you arrive, and therefore not allowing you to use a different card to pay for the room at check-in( They have no real live people in "customer service" to talk with. Not sure if there is any "customer service" at this company.

Having never been to Cambria we were pleasantly surprised. The Sea Otter Inn room was very quaint and cute. Nice tv and air conditioner. The amenities looked great, pool and spa. We love the California coast and hope to come back and stay longer to do more exploring in the area. We'd like to revisit Hearst Castle as we had not been since we were much younger. We're now retired. :D. The staff at the Sea Otter Inn was very pleasant and friendly and having an extra special touch with a breakfast basket was a real treat, not to mention convenient. The location was amazing with the wonderful accessible walking trail and easy access to the beach. Cambria Main Street not far, as well as convenient gas stations.

We didn't like the fact that we had to leave after only one night. There was only one restaurant within walking distance and it seemed quite crowded, so we passed.

"C" welcomed us warmly and processed us efficiently; she was flexible to our travel needs, and we were given a spotless fireplace room with a private patio. "C" recommended a choice bottle of white wine, purchased in the lobby with two glasses; we enjoyed it out on the patio where she offered to turn on an outdoor fireplace for us - a great way to unwind after the trip from S.F. The hotel is on the quiet end of the beach, with direct access to vibrant tide pools and crystal collecting!

WiFi appeared to experience frequent bandwidth limitations, but may be due to the area's remoteness, not the hotel.
