I loved the walk to the beach area. The bed was super comfortable and the fireplace was a nice touch! We were in the upstairs room so the bathroom was small, but we had a large sitting area in the front of the room with windows looking over the ocean. Breakfast was not included, but it was easy to order and a super cute restaurant.

The bathroom was okay, but small. The rug under the bed seemed a little dirty and the heater was old. But the heater worked very well!

The location is awesome. The beds and bedding are very high quality and comfortable. Access to the ocean is better than any other choice on Moonstone Beach. The size and location of the property are excellent. There is plenty of seating, games for the kids, a hiking trail to the beach, and a park across the street.

The location and amenities were fantastic, we walked across the street or under the bridge to the beach paths every day. The firepits were great and the staff gave us roasting sticks to use and sold s'mores kits. The fireplace in our room as perfect for the drizzly weather and they also provided plenty of firewood. We spent a little time in the game room but it was fun playing shuffleboard. The clawfoot tub was amazing and pretty much why I booked the stay, but the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very dog friendly, our pup had a great stay and loved all the green grass. It seemed very sound proof too, we couldn't hear any of our neighbors if we had any.

The only setback was the lack of hand soap, and there wasn't any at the front desk either. Not specific to this place but just wish hotels had some streaming options to the tv's since it was only cable. But the wifi was fast so we just streamed to the laptop when we wanted to watch something.

The location is amazing since it is right across the street from the state park and easy to access the boardwalk along the water. Also, there are green spaces and hangout areas throughout the resort. I liked that there were lots of places to be outside. Also, we had a room with a fireplace and it came equipped with a fire bag that was so simple and easy to use—that was convenient and a lovely touch). The heater in the bathroom was nice, too, since it was pretty chilly at night.

The rooms were smallish and plainly furnished but they had everything we needed. The bathrooms were smaller, too, and we didn’t love the upcharges for late checkouts and other amenities.

We found this place quiet and restful, close to the boardwalk. It provided everything we needed except for a microwave. Parking was right outside our unit. We saw a wounded deer on Hwy 1 near the hotel and the receptionist assisted us in finding an agency to report this. We're not sure whether or not they were able to locate and treat the injured animal.

The water pressure in the shower was inadequate. The heater was dated and a little difficult to control room temperature. The closest ice machine was broken, but another one was available.

Rooms were nicely renovated and comfortable. King room with fireplace was spacious.

Breakfast took too long. 30-40 min in line to order (near 10am) and another 30-40 min to receive.

Site was having employee issues. A manager quit so cafe was understaffed terribly. Employee handling cafe was doing a very admirable job trying to be a good service person, cashier, table bussing , etciSite clean and maintained. Lots for kids to do on site. Location to beach was a 10. X the street.

I heard a customer having a problem w/ booking because booking site had misrepresented what could/ could not be booked. The room housekeeping rules were not apparent and my daughter was hoping for Dailey service, but was told you had to make them aware 48 hours ahead.

Rooms were well appointed and spacious. Bathroom was roomy and had a great shower. We upgraded for a small fee and got an outdoor patio which overlooked the pool. There was ample free parking. Just a short walk to beach and boardwalk. Fire pits for use if desired. The town of Cambria is lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

Lighting in room was by lamp only and was a little dark. Upon check out we were charged for bottled water that we didn’t consume. On contacting the hotel, they said that a mistake was made and it would be credited back to my account. Although I have received the security deposit back, I’m still waiting for the water charge to be credited- it’s been 10 days now….

This is a gem of a motel for families. It had a games room, swimming pool, outdoor play areas and fire pits. It's right on the beach and close to Cambria Town too. The room was really big with good provisions. Staff helpful at check in but the beeakfast restaurant was a bit of a shambles.

Picking at straws here - the games room had missing pieces and could do with a refresh. The restaurant was partially table service and partially help yourself which made it a tad stressful. They forgot two items on our order and we're frenzied about rectifying. Felt like they might need to simplify and/or have one more front of house person. Otherwise, a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Misunderstood that breakfast was not included. Other motels on Moonstone offer breakfast with the price of the room. We left the property and ate elsewhere.

The parking was challenging. We have a big vehicle. After returning from dinner there was an ant invasion on the dresser where we had left a half eaten protein bar. It’s not the best location on Moonstone for sure. You have to walk done to get on the boardwalk which is our favorite place ever. Though the property grounds were very well maintained and groomed.
