The place feels like a high end hotel. I assume recently refurbished. I have stayed in 5-star hotels in plush parts of London at 3x the cost which were not as nice. Comfiest bed I’ve slept in for a while. The finish is chilled and minimal and calming. The reception was clean and smelled good. The pool was perfect to get some energy out of the kids. Truly a lovely stay and I’d return in a heartbeat.

Being critical, the coffee maker in the bedroom was awful. Starbucks coffee but a terrible machine. Staff were a little dismissive - I was behind another guy in the queue so took a comfy seat in the lovely reception. When I got to the desk to check in the lady said “I guess you heard all that, or do you want me to repeat it?” I wasn’t listening to her with the other guy at all… there were little leaflets with info on what to do in the local area but I wasn’t offered one. There’s a little lounge by the pool which is nice but you can’t get anything to drink or a snack in there. Why not have complimentary coffee on all day? It would cost hardly anything to have drip coffee there all day but you only get it in the early morning.

I like the hotel, location was excellent. Close to everything. It was a trip with my daughter to vist Hurst Castle. The only thing I didn't care for was the coffee with paper cups. They served coffee in the poolside room starting at 7:30. It was extremely week and tasted like coffee water, it was quite terrible. Real coffee mugs would of been nicer too. (Not that that would of improved the coffee) Bottled water in the room was $5 each for a small water. Thank goodness I brought my own. Other than that it was a wonderful experience. I would stay again, hopefully the coffee situation will improve. My daughter love it! She said she can't wait to go back in the summer with her children to enjoy the pool and other fun day activities.

We really love the location of the hotel. It’s on the end of the hotel strip for the most part so the traffic is a lot less but still close enough to walk to restaurants. Inside of the room is very clean. We love the fireplace. The property is well groomed and very clean. The staff was very nice.

He loved everything about the property however, there is one thing that we were slightly disappointed over that wasn’t a big deal. We look forward to using the bath robes- that was mentioned in their ad, but at the time they were out of them and getting ready to replace them with new ones. We would’ve enjoyed sitting in a robe drinking coffee while looking at the beautiful ocean.

Excellent location (immediate access to the boardwalk by the ocean), very tasteful decor, coffee and half and half available every morning, pool was *actually* heated! (which is so important in a foggy place).

It's an older building, so there isn't much sound proofing. I could hear folks in the neighboring rooms talking in the evening hours. It was still quiet enough for me to sleep. The minifridge also was busted and started making a loud noise in the middle of the night, but thankfully the front office took immediate action and replaced the fridge.

The Fireside Inn exceeded my expectations in every way! I knew the location would be great, but the hotel was the cherry on top of the whole visit to Moonstone Beach! The beds, linens and pillows were crisp, fresh and clean. Loved the warm wood floors. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and well-appointed.

Small thing: we weren’t told about morning coffee being offered in the common room by the pool when we checked in. I just happened to find it while exploring one morning.

I loved the location and beautiful scenery. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. It was great to walk to the oceanfront and explore the area on foot, and I LOVED having the in-room fireplace and pool available.

The door lock wasn't aligned properly, so it was a bit difficult to fully close the door to lock it. Thankfully it feels like a safe town and area, otherwise I'd suggest all-around better security. Another odd thing was that they provide coffee and tea in the pool room each morning till 10:30am, but they only set out a small carafe of it. Lots of guests go to try out the coffee, but then it's constantly empty. This makes things difficult on staff because they have to keep leaving the office to start a new pot of coffee. Would be better if they just brew a very large pot of coffee, or provide a nicer Keurig or something. It was great to have the coffee makers in the rooms, but when the facility is featuring coffee in the pool room, you expect it to be more special than 2 small carafes.

Excellent location. Clean. Beautiful updated rooms with very cozy bed and electric fireplace. We had a very nice stay here. Parking right in front of room. Quiet hotel - very peaceful. Would recommend the ocean view room.

This hotel does not have a hot tub, fire pit, or breakfast like many of the other hotels nearby that are a similar price. At the time of booking we didn’t realize how chilly it gets in the evening and the pool was not warm enough to swim in. Overall loved this hotel but didn’t realize how much we’d want more amenities.

The room was large, everything was very clean and refreshed. We liked having the refrigerator and the wet bar area. We liked the Starbucks coffee and that we could open the window for fresh air. The gas fireplace was nice too. The decor was also nice.

Our room was at the back of the complex and we could hear the cars on Hwy 1. We did not like that the couch didn't face the TV. Our friends came over from there room and it was uncomfortable for them because they couldn't see the TV to watch a movie. Also, that there was only 1 chair in the room.

Coffee in the morning offered by hotel was nice. Location was wonderful, right across from beach. Also the woman at front desk was very nice and accommodating. I wish I could remember her name. She helped us with some paperwork we needed printed out which was very, very nice of her!

We were very happy that there was at least a fan in our room, because it was stuffy at night, and we didn't feel good about leaving our windows wide open all night long.

Expensive stay in a comfortable room. Location in main hotel row of Cambria; about a 10 min drive to town center and most restaurants. Walk across road to Moonstone Beach and boardwalk. Enjoyed the Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas in room. Upgraded room to one with a patio.

High price point for value. Pool a bit dirty, no hot tub. Lacking amenities for price point.
