Facilities, beds - everything is fine

For personal reasons, I have to stay at this hotel quite often. Everything is ok with the hotel itself, but I am unpleasantly surprised by the experience with payment. The hotel does not accept MasterCard, I was not warned about this, and I was not offered any solutions - your card is simply not accepted, do whatever you want. Apple pay is not suitable, it is impossible to make a transfer, they do not accept cash. So what should I do standing there with a suitcase and a child?? That time, my friend saved me, who paid by card. If there is such a problem, the hotel could at least warn customers in advance and offer some solutions.

We were celebrating our honeymoon, we were touched we got a free drink and our room had been decorated to celebrate! It was the coziest bed I think I've ever slept in, we both slept incredibly well. The shower in our room was amazing and without this sounding silly, the coffee machine in the room was a special treat, the room was equipt with mini fridge aswell which we were pleasantly surprised by. Our breakfast the following morning was delicious, really tasty food and lovely ambience. We were just incredibly thankful for all those little perks, we've never stayed with Novotel before, but we definitely will again. Please pass our thanks onto the staff, they topped off our wonderful wedding and finished off our weekend really well, so thank you!

Great location. Tony and Jordan were exceptionally courteous and kind, which was nice. Good selection at breakfast. Free parking as I had a disabled parking badge. Rooms had everything we needed. Good shower. Would certainly stay again.

The bed was a bit too hard for my liking. The last time we stayed, i remember our bed being a lot more comfy. The scrambled egg wasn't very nice at all, so much so we had to make a small complaint as it smelt very off. Friends were a bit disappointed they had to pay for overnight parking at the hotel, seeing as the rooms were quite pricey for 1 night.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate any request and were always positive and flexible. The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and well seasoned, and it was nice to see everything labelled for gluten free options. The EV charger is a bonus for EV drivers and is fast charging.

The car park can get extremely busy and you are not guaranteed a spot. I think it should be reserved for guests and there shouldn't be a charge. Other hotels in the area have ample parking and don't charge.

The breakfast was fine but a bit pricey. Evening meal was good but the same menu every day. Comfortable lounge area but the drinks were rather expensive.

The constant music, certainly not to everyone’s taste, more suitable for young people and a bit too loud. There was a climate control panel in the room but we couldn’t use it, apparently the temperature of the room was set at 21C and couldn’t be changed, our room was too hot some days.

- Genuinely caring staff with a warm attitude towards clients. In particular, Geoff, a kind man who served breakfast, wished me a lovely day. It made a difference, and my stay in Ipswich was fantastic. - Delicate and careful approach to cleaning. It was a pleasure to be back in the room in the evenings. Everything was in order and sufficiently clean, while my way of arranging things in the room remained the same. - Very tasty food. In my view, the cook is talented. I ordered some simple food such as salad, chips, veggie burger in the evenings, and everything was exceptionally tasty. - Breakfast has a sufficient variety of choices. Having allergies and sensitivities to many things, I could eat to satiety. For instance, they serve oat, almond and soya milk, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, fresh fruits, and nongluten corn flakes, among many other things. - I liked the room that had everything I needed and beyond: a kettle, fridge, wardrobe, and many other necessary things. Besides, I could see the sunrise from my window. Thank you very much!

New and very clean rooms. Good breakfast with plenty of options and cooked to order options. Fridge in the room and facilities to make hot drinks. Quiet hotel in a good location. Felt quite safe. Plenty of plugs and USBs for charging. Plenty of wardrobe space and ironing equipment provided. Nice toiletries also provided and a number of towels.

Not enough parking so often nowhere to park. My particular room smelled of smoke. Would have liked to be able to open the window more. Tv in my room also didn’t work properly and one of the lamps didn’t work. Thought I was getting a room with a bath but it was only a shower. Bed was comfy but pillows were far too soft and made me very uncomfortable. A mix of different pillows would have been better than 4 incredibly soft ones. No good for anyone with a bad bank. On a similar note the chair and sofa in the room was very uncomfortable and I found that I could not work from the hotel as I could not sit in the chair for long.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed playing pool and made use of your board games. The selection of drinks at the bar was great and your staff really know their stuff. The room was very comfortable. My partner especially loved the bed and said how well he slept on it. We lived the separate bath and shower and were very impressed with the fridge being included. The ironing board, iron and hair dryer already in the room, was fantastic. I loved that the bedside table could be out in its side to be made into a coffee table.

Lift occasionally juddered, it wasn’t always a smooth ride.

The hotel is modern and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely view of the area from our room and tea and coffee facilities. Everything was clean and in perfect working conditions. The shower was great, the bed comfortable, the TV and WiFi very good. Location was fantastic, within walking distance from the centre, the waterfront and the train station, but in a quiet area for a perfect rest at night. They also kept our luggage for a few hours after checking out, so we could make the most of our last day. Good value for money. We'll book again when we go to Ipswich again.

Nothing. Everything was great.

Everything.Really spacious compared to many. Plenty of room for clothes, Coffee and tea in the room. Quiet. Clean. I liked the separate toilet. Cool even without air conditioning on, but did use it when it was 24°C! Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Good evening meal. Nice products in the bathroom and large towels not too thick. Pleasant relaxing decor. Felt light and airy and the window in the bedroom opened.The music in the dining room was pleasant and not too loud.

The only thing I didn't like was the coffee in the dining room but I think it was due to the type of milk used.Lift was a bit shaky.
