We are a retired couple who travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels around the world. We can honestly say this is one of the best hotels we have EVER stayed in. It has existed for many years and has, I suspect, been recently redecorated and renovated. This work has been carried out to a VERY high standard. We've stayed in bigger rooms, but none so comfortable and relaxing as this one. We've seen some amazing sites in the world, but to wake up in the morning and see St Michaels Mount coloured by the sunrise without even having to get out of bed! takes some beating. We have eaten many English Breakfasts with the same ingredients, but these were cooked to perfection. Most hotels have a bar and most are a bit like a doctors waiting room where people sit in little isolated groups. The Marazion has a real bar where guests, locals and staff slip into an easy, relaxed relationship of chat and banter. Add to all that, the lovely food, a superb guests lounge and the ever helpful staff and you have a formula for great success.

The stairs will be a bit challenging for anyone disabled, but I suspect that the installation of a lift would be prohibitively expensive. But don't let that put you off. A significant proportion of the guests we saw, we're using sticks.

The Location was great and being able to park there was a bonus! The hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly and attentive. The lounge was lovely to relax in with books and games available.

Our room was quite hot, even though we had the window opened and a tower fan was provided in the room. We slept well but woke up feeling a bit groggy, with headaches due to the room being stuffy. We obviously know, the weather is beyond the hotels control. The other thing is, is that we would have preferred a self service style breakfast at least for Cereal, Juice and the option of fruit eg Bananas, Berries would have been nice. From looking at photos of the hotel before we booked, we thought it looked like a self service style. Instead, we were sat at our table and our order was taken for everything. We still enjoyed our breakfast, this just would have been our preference.

Fantastic location right over from St. Michaels Mount and in the middle of the very small attractive village of Marazion. Good car parking for guests and the bus to Penzance if required goes from right outside the door. The hotel itself was very clean and the sea view room really did have one (a sea view). Breakfast and dinner at the Cutty Sark accessed from the hotel. Very good food at both breakfast and dinner.

Nothing much to note. Mattress was a bit soft, but not critically so. Some minor street noise, but worth it to get the view.

Very well presented room, tastefully furnished with smart modern en suite shower room. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Prompt and friendly service . Very convenient parking which was one major reason I chose to stay here.

So close to the sea and 'Mounts Bay' but sadly no view of it. However the Godolphin Pub across the road offered the view and drinks terrace. The external appearance of the Marazion Hotel maybe could do with some decorative attention, as it slightly detracts from the tastefully decorated and furnished interior ambiance.

We loved it. Beautiful decoration in the lounge, bedroom and brand new bathrooms. Car park for guests which is very handy in this very busy village. Our bedroom had views on St Michael's mount. The staff was very welcoming. We ate in their restaurant both nights of our visit. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food which was of the level of a big city's gastro-pub. The meal was excellent and portions were big, wine menu was great . There is also a pub in the hotel with a great selection of Cornish gins.

No complains

Food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was tasty but the dinner menu items were absolutely delicious. We had a meal at a nearby boutique hotel which was pricier but not as good and so ended up having dinners at Marazion Hotel every night of our stay.

There was nothing to fault. We stayed in the apartment and it would benefit greatly from a washing machine (I was with my 3 small children so this might not be a consideration for most) but would have made an already enjoyable stay that much more enjoyable.

A really lovely hotel. Parking is excellent. Staff very friendly and attentive. We had a roast on Sunday in the restaurant and it was delicious, the beef was so flavoursome. Make sure you book a table as it’s popular. The rooms are really nice and clean, good size bed, excellent shower and good selection of drinks, water and biscuits. Breakfast is excellent, lots of choice, great quality and cooked to perfection. It really is a little gem and perfect for exploring the local area. We will be back!

Nothing, it’s pretty much perfect.

The hotel and their wonderful staff certainly exceeded our expectations. From the beginning of our journey, they were nothing but exceptional to us. We were allowed to enter and book a couple of hours earlier than their check-in time, and even offering us some free drinks while waiting up in their cosy lounge while they prepare our rooms. When we checked-in, the wonderful lady assisting us told me that they had upgraded our room for free, and we had this amazing room overlooking a part of the beach. The service in their dining area was also astounding, as the staff were all lovely and pleasant to us. The food? It was all sumptuous. I cannot forget the seafood chowder. I think I ordered that 3 times during our stay. This hotel is simply fab and has left us feeling really amazing and satisfied with our choice. We certainly recommend this wonderful place.

All rooms are furnished very tastefully , the bathroom is spacious and equipped with a minimal, very pleasant night light. Rooms service was excellent. English breakfast can be chosen daily from a menu and is freshly prepared on order. Lunch and envening menue contain all kind of meals including fish, meat and vegetarian. In addition to the constant menue a daily changed menue offers the catch of the day. Delicious! A map of Cornwall drawn on a large slade board shows that all used products are of local origin. All members of the staff were extremely friendly, attentive and courteous.

Beautiful sea view room that was spacious and very comfortable. Food was so tasty, well presented and good quality local produced used. ALL the staff we encountered were extremely friendly, polite, helpful and professional and seemed very happy.

The detail email we received before we arrived with what seemed like an endless list of rules and regulations was rather off putting and as a result we really were beginning to regret booking this particular hotel, however, when we arrived we discovered that the hotel staff were the complete opposite of the impression we had been given from the tone of the email. ALL the staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay an enjoyable and memorable one.
