Easy walk to Downtown Victoria, but just out of the way of the hustle and bustle. Lovely helpful guys on reception, I arrived at 10:30 and asked to store my luggage before I returned my hire car, but my room was ready and I was checked in! It was so nice, too many hotels are too precious about this. I was in no way expecting the room to be ready that early. I had their smallest room, but it was still huge in comparison to most. Decent kitchen, separate bath & shower, dining area and a huge bed. It was light, with windows on two sides, and clean. It has a proper electric kettle as well as a coffee maker, which is great for an addicted English tea drinker! I used the gym once, which is small but perfectly adequate. There is a guest laundry here, which isnt advertised enough. The combination of suite, kitchen, diner and laundry is definitely the way forward for hotels to compete with the short term lets, their additional hotel perks tip them over the edge in my opinion.

2 spare coathangers! I mean, if thats the worst I can say its pretty good.

The location is ideal. The views are amazing from the 4th floor and up. Ask for south-facing views on an upper floor. The suites are light-filled and in immaculate condition. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything in perfect running order. The staff super accommodating and friendly. Lounge area very welcoming.

We found the bed impossibly uncomfortable. We asked for a replacement after the first night and they very obligingly brought in a brand new mattress. It didn’t help. We rolled into the middle within minutes. We also found the couch incredibly uncomfortable. We had to roll up towels to jam under the cushions because they sagged into the sleeper bed inside. Maybe that was just our room.

This hotel was amazing. I'm sad we could only stay for one day. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a full size fridge and kitchen facilities. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. The location was amazing too, with the harbor, parliament, and Beacon park all within a short walk. Despite all that amazing stuff just outside, we were happy to relax in the hotel: that's how great it was.

My only complaint (and I'm really nit-picking) is that there was building maintenance going on right outside our window in the morning. They were mostly quiet though.

The location was fabulous, I was able to walk to my destinations for the most part. I found Victoria to be an extremely beautiful city.

They billed me 10 dollars for a 5 dollar laundry card. The problem was they charged 6 dollars a load, so it cost users 20 dollars for a load of laundry. They were unwilling to accommodate my request for an early check-in or my request for an itemized bill. The laundry room flooded( my socks finally dried). The fire alarm went off over and over in the middle of the day. And finally there was no drawer in which to put my clothing.

Great location, close to downtown. The hotel was very quiet and the suite very clean. All staff were great. The underground parking was very convenient, though it did cost $17 CAD per day. It's two blocks from the ferry, surrounded by a very nice neighborhood.

The bed was too soft - it was probably memory foam. It retained body heat and deformed enough so you felt as if you were sleeping in a hole. A very odd sensation. The bed was only a full size, not even a queen so a bit small. We slept VERY poorly. The room was consistently warm, even with the HVAC system turned down. If you need ice you must head down to the bar in the lobby, which is pretty inconvenient.

The location of this hotel was perfect! I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. I loved having the small kitchen and the bathroom was spacious and had everything needed

Honestly there was not a thing I didn’t love. The facilities were perfect for me (A small note that does not diminish this property: I was woken up at 5am by the phone and a security guard at my door. I had not requested that. It was a bit unsettling as I travel alone and was sound asleep. Just an honest mistake)

Our studio room was very clean, comfortable, with a very nice view and balcony. I liked the decor and eco friendly touches like wooden door cards instead of plastic. I am allergic to animals and Oswego is a dog friendly hotel, but the non-pet friendly room they gave us didn’t trigger my allergies! (This was the first time I’ve tried a pet friendly hotel) Location is great- quiet residential streets in charming James Bay, but very close to all the tourist sites. Having secured parking was a bonus. Staff were all very friendly.

Not much!🙂 A kettle for boiling water would have been nice but we were able to boil water on the induction stove quickly, and the pot had a pouring spout. We didn’t try the restaurant or other facilities so can’t comment on them.

The room was fantastic. It was clean, really large and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the hotel provided coffee pods and cream. Staff were friendly and helpful. Happy hour is a really good deal and delicious. Location was fantastic. It’s within walking distance to the waterfront, museum, Parliament and the Empress Hotel.

Breakfast was good but a little expensive for eggs and bacon. I wanted cheese on my eggs and it was $3.00 more, although the eggs were cooked perfectly. We had to be aware of the flooring in the kitchen due to a transition to the living area. This created a lip which made walking awkward so you had to be more cautious.

We came for the marathon. It was a little pricey for the weekend but it was the Thanksgiving weekend and the marathon was happening so I new things would be a little more expensive. Plus the hotel was so close to the start finish lines. Having a kitchen in the suite was super nice. The pull out bed was fairly comfortable. And the bathroom had a large soaker tub. The hotel is very close to downtown and the area is super walkable. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

There is no pool or hot tub which you cannot really change about the building. So if you are looking for that amenity it might be best to look at other hotels.

Our suite - living room / kitchen plus two bedrooms / two bathrooms and balcony was perfect for me and my wife plus our 19 year old son. Three TVs plus great kitchen facilities and equipment. Having the kitchen meant we could have a healthy breakfast in our room on a couple of occasions and then choose the restaurant for less healthy options when we wanted to! Hotel breakfasts were great - good choices and not over priced. Staff all helpful and warm / friendly. Live music in the hotel bar on a couple of nights was a nice touch. Two basement floors available for car parking - $17 per night "ok" (we knew about the charge when booking). A couple of washing machines / tumble dryers also available - really helpful when away from home for the best part of three weeks. Great location - only a 5 minute stroll from the harbour.

Not much really - we didn't eat in at the hotel in the evening as the menu was quite limited - only four main courses and so the menu could perhaps be expanded. Didn't like the small print on the bill at check out that said if we didn't ensure all used plates / cutlery had been washed (i.e. dishwasher put on) then they would be a charge of $150! Should make any penalties clear at check in.
