Clean, Very pretty and the views were great. The hotel staff were really lovely and the food was great

The hotel hás very strict rules. The people at gym were rude and we had to book for the pool and spa and wear swimming caps. It says silent in the pool but there were kids jumping and screaming in the pool when it isn’t à kids pool. We went for new years and they didn’t ask ask us if we wanted to spend new years there. When we found out that we had go book it was too late. The communication wasn’t great

The Spa, Gym and pool are great. It was one of the best equipped gym I have ever tried (congratulations)

I had high expectations for the breakfast given the reviews and it was disappointing - it uses too many ready to go/cook items (sausage, doughnuts and "natural" juices that doesn't take like natural at all, pancakes were also tasteless) Bed could be more comfortable. The fact is the gym spa or swimming pool on Sunday afternoon.

Friendliness of the staff from reception, house-keeping and restaurant staff. We have stayed here a number of times over the years and the outdoor terrace with seating, sun loungers and outdoor pool is the perfect area to relax. We visit Viana Do Castelo for family and Axis is in a great location to visit all the areas we need to which are all within walking distance. A lovely hotel.

The room was very comfortable. The outside pool was nice and refreshing. The spa pool is small but good to relax. The gym was great. In fact, it is a full gym opened to gym members and not only for hotel guests. There is an indoor pool to swim. Super complete gym/exercise facilities.

The location is in the outskirts of Viana, but we knew that already when booking. The buffet at dinner was a bit pricey based on the quality of the food.

Loved everything ! We had an upgrade to a suite as well. Felt thoroughly spoilt ! Used the outside pool. Staff were very attentive Excellent buffet style breakfast … which had everything you could wish for . Kettle in the room, so I could have my coffee in bed !!! Only hotel throughout our trip to offer this. Will definitely return ! Great location… Great parking for the motorcycles

Absolutely nothing … maybe just sad to have not stayed longer !

Massages are really good, high quality professionals. Asked for a couple massage (both at the same time) which was not an option but they made it possible. Restaurant is very good price value. Sauna space was wonderfull. Bedrooms and the whole hotel feels very new and clean.

Had to go through the gym to get to the pool and spa. Had to pay for the spa (1h limit per day). It is a relatively small spa area so I get the limit but still. On Sunday afternoon spa area is closed including massages.

The gym was much better than most hotel gyms

Bring your own bath plug No plug in the bathroom, when I asked for a plug at reception the lady said that that was normal and they did not provide a bath plugs I subsequently found that the couple we were travelling with had a bath plug.

The Axis Fitness Center was outstanding. Great variety of equipment and plenty of options for working all the major muscle groups Fitness Center staff members were very helpful as well. The hotel is great, but the Fitness Center really made my visit there great. The breakfast was really nice. Plenty of healthy options.

Everything at this hotel was done well. The front desk staff were very helpful. I'd enjoy staying there again.

Top floor room was spacious clean and had a great view. Although the buffet area looked small it provided plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch. Outdoor pool area was great.

No balcony but we knew that before we booked.

The staff was great. The room service and food were above expectations. The inside pool was great for swimming and not crowded. The massage was a great bonus.
