Beautiful rural setting.. old farm converted to small hotel. Lovely orchards .. pools and water features

The bathroom is a nightmare ., an architect on meth? Water sprays all over from the overhead shower( this could be corrected if the shower head were changed and the glass screen extended. The sunken bath should be removed altogether as it is terrifying . A major hazard.. The side tables are cheap and unstable.. and the wardrobe/ hanging space needs to be reconsidered.

For our first trip to Portugal, we were looking for something truly special—and we found it. This place is a hidden gem at the end of a dirt road, tucked away among orange trees, with just seven rooms and the warmest hospitality you can imagine. Calling it a hotel doesn’t quite do it justice. It feels far more intimate and personal, like a secluded retreat. We stayed for two nights but easily could have stayed much longer. Everything—from the food to the service, the atmosphere to the facilities—contributes to a unique sense of comfort and belonging that’s hard to find elsewhere. Despite having only a few rooms, the property is spacious and beautifully designed, with two pools and a cozy outdoor area offering stunning views. It felt incredibly private; at times we barely saw other guests, making us wonder how such a peaceful experience was even possible. A heartfelt thank-you to Vera and Antonio, who have been with the property for years and are truly exceptional. Their kindness and care made our stay unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back.

It’s not flawless—but that’s exactly what makes it so special. The little imperfections only add to its charm, creating a sense of authenticity and warmth that polished places often lack. It feels real, lived-in, and truly wonderful.

The facilities were very clean, comfortable and well design. Tha staff was discrete, yet very dedicated and eager to please. The meals were delicious and very well prepared. Overall the experience was exactly what we wanted. A rural escape, comfortable and sophisticated at the same time. Although there wer more guests at the time, we experience it as if we were the only guests. This will be a annual escape, for sure!

It is hard to point any downside... The only thing worth pointing: it was very difficult to take a shower without spilling water all over the bathroom floor

The location, the style of the place and staff were helpful.

Just some simple touches like providing complimentary water, rack to place luggage and more home made organic food like great granola and espresso coffee at breakfast. Rug needs a clean in the room.

We enjoyed our stay at Imani. The secluded location and small number of rooms created a wonderful ambiance while still being close to the sights of Évora. The staff were also amazing. Additionally the public spaces by the pool and back bar provided ample opportunity for our group to gather and enjoy playing foosball, cards, swimming,etc. Lastly, breakfasts were excellent as was the dinner we had. I will definitely return again.

The only slightly negative thing was the round sink in the bathroom which did not offer good space for our toiletries amd had the faucet control in an awkward location.

The rural location with birdsong, butterflies and wildflowers all around. The rooms are ‘rustic chic’ with Clarins amenities. They are lovely and cool in the heat. Expresso coffee is provided as well as bottled water and a fridge with a mini-bar selection to choose from. The staff were very helpful and it was possible to get food from the snack menu during the day, or eat in the restaurant in the evening. The food was delicious (& portions huge) but selection was fairly limited, due to the small size of the property (7 rooms in total).

The road to the property is a rural track ( 1.2 km) & is very bumpy. The drive to Evora takes about 25 minutes. Due to the distance (& the track) we felt that we had to eat at the property rather than driving in to Evora to find a restaurant. If you want a more central location, this spot is not for you (although it is beautiful and peaceful).

The property is beautiful and spacious. We were told to pick any oranges we wanted from the trees, which was wonderful. It was private, and the room was comfortable. Would love to return in summer to take full advantage of the amenities (outdoor pools).

The property is gated, with minimal signage, so we weren't sure we were in the right place. We had to phone to be let in on arrival. (Afterwards we were given a gate fob to come and go as we pleased.)

It s an immaculate place with a lovely charm to it. With two beautiful pool and plenty of space for my kids to roam around. Staff are attentive and responsive. Beds are good.

Nothing really. The water heater pump broke towards the end of our trip but there s nothing much they can do. Staff was very apologetic and done everything they can. Since it was our last day, the kids were ok not to have a hot bath but I am not sure if this happened start of the trip how this would be since the weather is 19-24 and water is generally quite cold still.

A beautiful restored large cottage whose owners took care to every detail, you will find two pools in its opulent garden. Just a small natural road leads to this place so it is absolutely quiet and peaceful. The staff Is very helpful too and has a lot of information about that place. Breakfast is served in a sunny room full of antiques.

As the chief took a day of the diner choice was limited but the food nevertheless was excellent

Imani is a wonderful place in the middle of nature. Perfect to relax and leave the world behind. We loved to enjoy the pool area while resting under olive trees. Our junior suite was nicely decorated, the terrace has a wonderful view to watch the sunrise. There are snacks to order all day around and there are dinner options at the restaurant. The property has many nice spots to discover and is full of nice artsy stuff…

Related to the rates breakfast was disappointing, it could have been a bit more engaged and easier to order additionals in the morning. We had to decide what to have for breakfast the evening before. The outdoor area at the restaurant is a nice spot but could be maintained with more engagement and heart! The private terrace is not really private because everyone passes to get to their rooms. Rooms haven‘t that much natural daylight. As there is only a small window at the back of the room you have to leave the front door open…
