We needed a budget accomodation in the area for a couple of nights as had hospital appointment.The facilities are very basic and it's a shame the maintenance of the rooms is not kept up as everything was there that you would need for a short stay,The staff were very friendly ,the bed comfortable ,the shower was lacking in heat and power the TV functioned well and the cleanliness of the room good .Note: there is no kettle or cups in rooms It served the purpose but definitely not suitable for that romantic weekend if you want to impress.Location excellent.The owners need to get a repairman and decorator into the rooms and methodically check replace and fix before things get too bad .This is a hotel which gives good value for money but has the potential to do that bit better for its clients.

Great location, about a 7-10 minute walk to Hyde Park, super close (7 min walk) to paddington and (4 min walk) edgware road tube stations, which connect you to anywhere in the city. Also there’s about 3 buses that leave you pretty much right outside the hotel door. That was absolutely awesome. The area is rather crowded, but actually nice and chill. Also the best and cheapest souvenirs are right around the corner from here!

We had a hard time figuring out how to flush the toilet properly, but once we got the hang of it, it was easy. Also, there’s no elevator, which for us was a bit of an inconvenience since we had really big luggage and had to climb up the stairs (we were given the option to change rooms, but we wanted a single double bed and that was not an option if we switched)

Staff were very friendly from start to finish and recognised us each time we went in and out of the hotel. Beds were comfortable and clean, beds made, and bins emptied when we went out. 24 hour access to front desk so can come and go as you please. Good transport links and shops nearby. Safe and fairly quiet location. Very basic bare minimum facilities but it's all you need for the price you pay considering the location youre getting! Somewhere to get your head down at the end of the night watching TV with a clean bathroom to scrub up in! Not sure why they got so many negative reviews.

Floors are creaky throughout and doors are very heavy so can hear whenever someone is coming or going. Knob missing for the radiator in the room so no way to adjust it yourself, could get uncomfortably hot at times.

The location near Edgware Road Station was ideal for sightseeing on the Tube. The reception being open 24 hours was great. Plenty of food opportunities in Edgware Road and Paddington. The Heathrow Express train runs to Paddington. The bed pillows were great.

The only improvement would be in the bathroom, A towel rail or hook would be helpful.

The price is very reasonable for new year eve in london The location is perfect to the station and to the shops Despite the room is super tight , private bathroom with hot water is available As well i would like to thank the receptionist guy who was in the hotel in the night of new year he helped me a lot and without his help my whole trip will not be happy thank you god bless u my brother

Very old bedding No left and the stairs are so tight The road itself is noisy and u can hear everything Not accepting contactless cards for payment

I like this Victorian style hotel with wooden windows and heavy warm blanket)) Very comfortable. Plus amazing and helpful staff! On the other hand, the brilliant location near the Edgware rd station, bus stops plus cafes, shops and money exchanges. At whole, very good place for tourists or short-standing travellers without kids. Highly recommend!

There was pretty cold at room, but it is not because of hotel, but whole British system)) Blankets are great there 😅

Great location, short walk from Paddington Station, excellent value, clean & comfortable, quiet location. Suited my needs but if you prefer more "stars" then you won't find them anywhere in London for this price!

No tea making facility, which wasn't a big deal as only there for one night. Tiny little guest soap, but the bathroom was clean & more than adequate.

Great location near tube stations (edgware Rd and Paddington), 15 min walk to marble arch. Friendly staff, just across from a pub for food/ drinks. We wanted somewhere central to lay our heads at night as we were out all day and this criteria was met. Its not the ritz, the decor is dated but you get what you pay for! Great budget friendly hotel.

Our expectations were met

for the price it charged the hotel was very good. The management is accomodative. My wife had dificulty in climbing stairs and the owners accomodated us to the extent they could. for the price they charged the hotel is quite good.

the property is old and a little dilapidated. some improvement is warranted.

A great place to stay in a good location in the near of Paddington Station. A uncomplicated 24-hour check-in is offered. The rooms are fine and clean and the beds are okay. Affordable place for sleeping in London. Would book again.

The shower water was hot and couldn't be made cold(er), wasn't a problem for me but some people would like to have a cold shower.
