I loved how comfortable the bed was and how clean the entrance, hallways and the room was. The bedroom and bathroom were a good comfortable size. The staff was all very pleasant and welcoming.

Minor things, i prefer when there aren't throw pillows on the bed bc they don't get cleaned as often which in turn feels unhygienic. Also the staff could have been more helpful with holding doors open as I noticed i and other guests struggled to hold open doors and pass through with luggage. The price was a bit expensive but I realize this could be due to the season as well as the tardiness of my booking.

Small row house type hotel on relatively quiet shaded street in a near park like setting yet convenient to Paddington station. Family run with helpful attentive staff. Clean throughout. Only downside is no room air conditioning for those sultry summer nights. A small room fan is provided but you’ll want to ask for another more powerful fan if you want to be relatively comfortable. Lobby is air conditioned. If you need a cab, ask the staff to book a black cab, not the private cab service that the staff suggests. I had a very bad experience with that company — bad enough to file a complaint with the Transport For London government agency — which ought to suspend their taxi operator license, in my opinion. This was my second stay and I would return again, despite the above comments.

The location is perfect. Just a short walk from Paddington Station to hotel. It would take around 5 minutes without luggage. The whole building blocks are all hotels and it's quite safe area. There are plenty of groceries and restaurants nearby. The room we had is 3 single beds and there is AC in the room, so it's comfortable during summer. Our room is 52. The first night we had a room with 1 double bed, 1 single bed, but the double bed is not a king size so it's not comfortable to share with 2 persons in that bed. Luckily, I spoke to Mel, the front lady and she could provide me the room with 3 single beds which is more convenient for us on the next day with moving luggages for us too. Thank you to her. Our new room is on underground though, it's opposite the breakfast area but there is no problem.

There are cleaning service everyday but no changing bedsheets. We stayed for 10 nights with same bedsheet since beginning. For ladies please prepare your shower cap. I didn't have much to say about dislike because overall is good.

We booked the Athena for one night in London after returning via the train from Bristol (into Paddington). We had an early flight the next morning. The Athena was a perfect accommodation for this one night. It is a quick walking distance from Paddington as well as several restaurants in the area. The room was a reasonable size, and the hotel is set back from the main street and fairly quiet. Compared to other London hotels in this area, the price was reasonable. The bathroom was clean, and the beds were comfortable.

The room had some dust and dirt in the corners and not all of the lights were working.

I paid x breakfast, but it start very late to us(7.30 am), because we had scheduled some tours that started 8.00am and we must left Hotel betwee 7.00 - 7.15 am. So, I paid for daily breakfast included, and we NEVER used it, due it was very early. Most of the Hotels started breakfast 6.30am -7.00 am. I don't know if REFUND by breakfast will be possible. In the other hand, some little cockraches were seen at bathroom.

Unfortunately, the hotels in that area of London are a bit old, which is true for many of them. This was our second time staying there as a family. Initially, we couldn't find a room and experienced disappointment with a 4-day reservation at another hotel. On the second day, we immediately switched to the Athena Hotel. The rooms are varied, but we found a room comfortable enough for three people. The room was old but clean, and it had a noise-free, comfortable bed, which was adequate. The breakfast was satisfying, and if you need anything, the staff would come running even at night with a smile. The staff always respected our living and comfort area and always smiled. If you want a respectful and friendly staff, I think Athena is ideal. Additionally, the location is close to all rail systems. If we go again, our only choice in Paddington would be the Athena.

The building is designed to be designed to it in the form of old building rooms, but it is very good according to the dynamics of the region.

Breakfast was not included in the price. You had to pay extra to get breakfast. Location was nice. The property will be even better when construction along that bank of hotels is finished. We loved that we could store our luggage locked up there since we were too early for our room to be ready to check in. It is a lovely neighborhood only a few blocks from the Paddington station of the Underground.

Pillows were a bit on the hard side. My daughter had a decent pillow, mine was pretty firm and inflexible.

Great location, 5mins walk from Paddington station. I had a quiet room on the 4th floor at the back of the property, so could have the window open without being noise polluted. Staff are all super helpful and friendly. Unlike many other London hotels this one has a lift, which is even quite spacious!

The room is a bit small, but that's very common for the price range and type of location. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great.

Loves the location of the hotel. The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was amazing and the location was close to the padding station (about a 5-10 min walk).

The breakfast could use some work. There are signs asking to tell them about any allergies but nothing was available for anyone who is gluten or dairy sensitive. You only get hard boiled eggs, porridge, assorted meats and breads as well as fruits. Coffee and juice was available as well.

The location of the hotel was excellent and the staff were pleasant. The rooms were clean and it was a nice touch to have tea, coffee and some toiletries in the bathroom. The rooms were serviced and bed made after each night which was pleasing and not expected. We did not have the continental breakfast but it looked nice and the breakfast room was busy. Nice hotel and would stay again.

We were in the basement and at times it was quite noisy due to people walking across the upper floor when tryingto sleep. However, we acknowledge that this could not be avoided and we were only there two nights.
