Single room was compact but perfectly adequate for me, clean and comfortable. Stairs down to this basement room were a little steep and narrow but OK for me. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice for all tastes. Location is excellent just a short walk to Paddington Station, plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes close by but far enough away not to be a nuisance to those wanting a reasonably quiet place to stay. Hyde Park is walking distance away so this hotel is handy when events in the park are on.

TV could do with an update, display was a bit dark and couldn’t be adjusted. The usb socket on the wall did not seem to work.

Clean and tidy, staff where lovely

The location of the hotel is perfect, I spent my first evening visiting most of Hyde Park and enjoying the beautiful views there. I also appreciated that the hotel is in a street full of hotels, as it is easier to blend in with the crowd (tourists). Breakfast was good and in sufficient quantity.

The air conditioning in the room mentioned in description is actually just a fan. The hotel was also not particularly large, therefore the coridors are narrow. During my stay the hotel was changing rugs in the dining room, therefore breakfast was to be taken downstairs (narrow stairs and no elevator).

Great location,not far from the underground station,buses, bars&restaurats and Hyde Park.Very helpful staff at the reception.Clean room,small but we were all day in the city,we just slept there.Towels changed everyday,good beds=good sleeping. Breakfast ok,I read in reviews that the breakfast room is small and there's not enough space for everybody,yes it' s small but we had every morning during our stay from Monday to Friday a free table.Perfect choice in terms of quality and price almost in the centre od London.We got for what we paid.

The only negative was that it was too hot in the room,there is no air conditioning.But if you open the window (if you don't mind the noise from the street) and turn on the fan,it's fine.There isn't a lift but our feet function,we don't mind stairs😊and the light in the bathroom should be better for putting on the make-up.

Lovely hotel with everything we needed. The bed was so comfy, I didn't want to get out. Great location, ideal for exploring london. Would stay again if in a different room

Room was a squeeze, next to reception so people coming late at night could easily disturb you do pack ear plugs just in case. Went to make a cup of tea, had to boil the kettle otherside of the room as there wasn't a plug socket anywhere near the kettle. View from the window wasn't the best, I would rather look out into the street. And mushy peas or marrow fat peas for breakfast, what's that all about 😂 apart from this it's a lovely hotel

If you're looking for a good deal, I think this hotel is one of the best options. It's only a bit more expensive than a hostel, but for this low price you get a great location, your own room with a private bathroom, and a simple breakfast included. I really don't get some of the bad reviews here. What do people expect when paying so little? A royal palace? Overall, I think it's the best value for your money in central London.

Just remember, this is one of the cheapest hotels in the city center. Of course, there are a few small issues. For example, the TV remote can be tricky to use, but it's not a big problem. The Wi-Fi isn't super fast, but it's good enough for basic internet use.

It's in a nice area and close to public transport. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Bathroom was very clean. The room was a bit hot but there was a fan to help with that and the windows could be opened. The staff were really friendly and lovely. It felt safe that the door to the hotel was locked and there was someone at the reception 24/7.

Little shabby from here and there, for example the floor in our room was a bit uneven and toilet roll holder broke (but was still usable so it wasn't a big deal). All in all a very nice place to stay.

great value for money! lovely location, close to all the transport routes! walking distance from hyde park & kensington gardens. friendly reception team! some small cosmetic bottles, little pastries and bottles of water included in the room rate. very quiet, comfortable sleep. despite a lot of negative comments on the room sizes, the one we had was very comfortable for 2 people. floors have been updated recently and the room had a good tv, clothes storage and 2 desks with chairs. very good use of space. we would happily stay again!

Bathroom was very small, especially for bigger people, but worked for us anyway. There was some sewers smell coming at certain times of the day, but it did not travel to the room itself. Shower would benefit from a little shelf/hanging caddy for cosmetics. There was a strange gap between shower basin and a wall, which collects dirt- could have been built over, or a shower built to size of the space. Fan was loud when in use and the bathroom light was very dim. Gap between the window and the bed could have been cleaned a bit better. There is no lift as expected, but no problem to us. Breakfast was ending too early for us, so we never tried it, but it was also included in the room rate, which for affordable london prices is unheard of.

Very helpful and kind staff. The hotel is located on a very nice, spacious, quiet street, and there was a wide variety of food at breakfast. The rooms were well cleaned, new towels were brought every day. The soundproofing between rooms is not the strongest, but if the neighbors respect each other and don't scream, then this is not a problem at all. Everything was quiet by us. The breakfast area is not the biggest, but we only had to wait a few minutes once for a free seat.

The carpet in the hallway on the upper two floors was a bit dusty around the edges, but not so bad. :)

Great convenient location to London Paddington station, in a quiet/peaceful area which was lovely. All staff members I seen over my weekend stay were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff I spoke too. This was very much appreciated by myself as a sole traveller, thank you very much everyone.

Single rooms need a small fridge for hot conditions especially, could do with more storage in bathroom area also.
