I had a small single and it had three windows allowing for lots of natural light. Although small was so efficiently laid out I had room for everything. Location amazing. Short walk to Paddington Station, bus stop around the corner. Tesco a couple of blocks away. Linens fresh and towels big and thick. Staff friendly and helpful. Tube strike started day after I arrived and they printed out bus routes for places on my itinerary and helped arrange for taxi to Gatwick Express. Continental breakfast was fine. Fridge in room allowed me to bring home food. Thank you again Richard and Dominica for all your he,p and making my stay feel like home away from home.

Wonderful helpful staff. Luggage drop off service was really useful so we didn't have carry stuff with us all day before check in our after check out as we only came to London for one night. We had expected a large room with one double and two single beds, but to find 2 separate bedrooms with connecting hallway was fantastic. Plenty of things to choose from at the continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Very minor points. Our room was above either the kitchen or laundry room and a fan system came on quite early in the morning that was a bit noisy. There's a floorboard that creaks at the end of the double bed that's so loud, you can hear it in the next room, and it feels like the board is loose. Nothing that would stop us staying again though.

This was my first hotel booked after a very long flight from Australia and I couldn't have been happier to find such a warm, cosy and clean hotel awaiting me. The hotel is exceptionally clean and they offer daily housekeeping which most 5 star hotels barely do. The breakfast ladies were very attentive and kind. I had the continental breakfast included in my stay and it was great to be able to fill up before a day out. I'm vegan and was able to request soy milk as well as have options of toast, cereal, coffee, juice and fruit. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others looking for a more affordable option (still pricey for 3 star but not by London standards). I booked a single room which was small but it was perfect for me. Great location, walking distance to underground stations as well as Hyde Park and Kensington

The only critique I can think of is the hair dryer. It took me ages to dry my hair because its so old and looks like vacuum cleaner 😄

This hotel is absolutely amazing!! The location is a few minutes walk to Paddington Station, which is super easy to travel to and from Heathrow airport, as well as all kinds of places in London. The neighborhood feels nice and safe even walking alone at night. Room I stayed in has everything one needs. The continental breakfast has made-for-you toast upon arrival at the dining hall (with 2nd helpings!) and although does not have a huge variety of choices, is nevertheless immensely enjoyable. Staff are kind and very responsive. Will be staying here again!

The Darlington Hyde Park is in a fabulous location. A five minute walk to Paddington station and close enough to walk all over London. I walked to Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The British Museum and many other interesting places. The room was clean and the bed comfy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast included was adequate - cereal, toast, yoghurt, a piece of fruit, coffee and tea.

A minor point would be to toast the bread longer and have a savoury spread but this is a personal preference.

Good location close to the entrance of Hyde park and a 10 minute walk to Paddington station. Room was clean and tidy and a decent sized bathroom. It was ideal for my two night stay in London. The area felt calm and safe and was quiet at night so no issues with noise. Staff that I encountered were friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

I was on the top floor which was quite hot at night, however there are fans provided in the room

The hotel charges 5 pounds per item to store your luggage on your day of departure after 14:00. I have never come across a hotel that does this, and I find it very bad service and quite expensive. We were charged this full amount to store (small) bags until 15:30, when we picked them up to then catch the train. For me, this would be a reason not to stay again. The coffee served with the breakfast could have been better.

Very satisfied. They assigned my room 1 hour before the check in time and....big surprise UPGRADE in double room instead of single room. I started my stay with a big smile. Comfortable, bright and spacious room. Very comfortable mattress. I slept very well both because of this and the silence in the hotel and outside. Shower very spacious and toiletries (body and hair shampoo) quite good. Strategic location near Paddington tube station and not far from Hyde Park at walk. Staff at reception and in the breakfast room, friendly and helpful. 9/10 FULLY DESERVED

Breakfast not very varied. Little choice of sweet and savoury. Daily cleaning only on request and for a fee. I would recommend giving more information before arrival or when checking in. Not only about the hotel but also about the area and tips on what to do. These are only small details, but the rest was perfect. I'll be back for sure

It was staying like your grandmothers place - in the best way possible. The place is cosy, the staff is excellent and helpful. The food is abundant. The rooms were superclean and spacious. Loved that you can open up the windows. Had lovely chats with the staff. Excellent location, 3 minute walk from Paddington station, but it is in a quiet street. There is a 0-24 shop down the road as well and super restaurants. All rooms are accessable by elevator.

I hate air conditioning but I know for some it is important, in my room there was no air conditioning.

Breakfast was perfectly adequate for continental.. Service from Steve was excellent - coffee & hot toast served to table - Thankyou Steve! The plums were delicious! The bed was the most wonderful level of comfort - after travelling through Australia, Norway & London … this is the most comfortable mattress I have slept on - Thankyou !! The quad room was fabulous.. bathroom in middle & seperate bedrooms either side … wonderful fir privacy when travelling with teenagers… Rooms were a very good size & room for suitcases & hand luggage cases on floor. Could turn heating off - which was great.. bathroom was very clean & no mould.. also the first time since I left home that I feel the cleaning was actually done properly! Thankyou ! A shame we didn’t book your hotel , before Xmas instead of a terrible air bnb for 4 in St. John’s wood ( Ralima)
