Overall very pleased with my week-long stay here. The staff is charming and always available. On my first night, I was placed in a lower-level room and given the option to remain in that room or relocate to an upper-level room the next day for the rest of my stay. The first room was fine but a little dark for my liking since it was a sublevel. The room I moved into was great, so much better with the natural lighting. The room was small but perfect for me. It had a great bed with a place to hang clothes/jackets (which also gave extra counter space), and up to date bathroom, and a window to look out. I enjoyed my room, tbh. I spent a couple of nights just chilling in my room. I liked it so much, and I will book here again and ask for the same room! The hotel is in a great location to Paddington Station along with many bus lines. A Tesco Express and other mom & pop shops are nearby. I found a great pub nearby, and I walked everywhere.

I was not bothered by the lack of a lift/elevator, but I can see how this might be an issue for older folks or people with mobility issues.

The hotel was in a great location, very close to Oxford street shops and central London. The room and bathroom were both small but cleaned to a satisfactory standard and it was nice have toiletries provided in the bathroom (soaps, shampoo, shower gel and shower caps). The hotel was also generally very quiet, and my room was not sharing a wall with another guest (not sure how typical this is for the rest of the hotel rooms though), so I slept fairly well. The price was also reasonable, especially in comparison with many other places in the area and I think it's a decent place to stay if you're looking for a basic, affordable hotel in London.

The hotel is definitely in need of an update/refurbishment. While everything was fairly clean (only noticed some dust in the corner of room or on the skirting board), it couldn't disguise the fact that the furnishings are very worn. For example, in my room I noticed there were rips on the carpet, the shower fittings on the wall were loose, and some of the towels and bedding were faded or stained.

Nice breakfast, comfortable beds and pillows, excellent location since 2' walk from Paddington Station.

The size of the bathroom was small, as well as the size of the room for 4 persons, leaving less space for moving and storing luggage of 4 people. Moreover, since serving breakfast in bags at reception and eat it in the room, there was not enough space at the table for 4 to eat it simultaneously, but only over the beds. Breakfast was packed without any napkins. There was no spoon/steering tool to steer coffee with milk or sugar in the room. A small refrigerator would be welcomed.

Breakfast was monotonous, but it was nice to be able to eat each morning before going into city. We were satisfied that we received a breakfast package that we ate in the room. It's a bit of a shame that they didn't change the contents of the package a little, we returned the package of apples to them at the end of our stay. The staff was nice and helpful. We also liked the 24/7 reception. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect for city trips. They cleaned our room perfectly every day.

Although we knew that the room would be small, we still felt a little cramped, it would have helped a lot if, for example, they put hooks on the wall by the door for clothes that otherwise had to be rolled on a chair or hung in a wardrobe that was a bit small for four people. People have complained in reviews that there is noise from the rooms next door, but we heard almost none.

A very good deal for this part of town. Too many hotels in this zone charge much more and give far less. Here you get what you pay for. A decent room to sleep in and a good location. The breakfast in a bag is both healthy and more than adequate. If you want more to eat there are plenty of cafes within a few minutes walk. The staff are both friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Only issue with central location can be street noise. This applies to all hotels in this area. No traffic but woken up by people standing outside talking in the middle of the night. . As my room was at pavement level this needn't be an issue in a room higher up or at the back.

The hotel is in a beautiful area, 7 minutes walk to the Paddington underground station, with a direct connection to Heathrow Airport, using the Elizabeth line. The beds were comfortable and clean, the stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but that’s ok, as we were out from early morning to the evening. There are small shops and restaurants nearby, for dinner and basic necessities (even McDonalds and KFC).

No fresh coffee as the breakfast is served in the room, but we knew that from the beginning. We had the same breakfast for for days.

I was very happy with the room, especially compared to what else was available in London for the same room. The bad was big, comfortable, nice pillows, powerful shower, room was clean and smelt fresh. I don't need anything else! However, the staff have also provided me with an extra fan, and kindly accepted to receive my Amazon orders during my stay.

I would suggest that the management takes care of small remedial works - there are multiple signs of property falling into disrepair, and it would be a shame to let things get bad.

Location, few minutes from Paddington and Marylebone stations. Welcoming. Good price which included breakfast bag (yoghurt, croissant, jam, Nutella, orange juice, cereal bar, 3 pieces of fruit), characterful attic room with comfy bed, rooftop views, bathroom and shower. View to the rear, very peaceful. Given that this is a converted 6 floor victorian town house, there were lots of stairs which wouldn't be great for suitcases, elderly, infirm, unfit residents, but that's the price you pay for this kind of building!

No way to make decent coffee, no conditioner

Convenient location to Paddington. Efficient check in (need photo ID). Breakfast bag was OK for a gran and go brekky. Tea and coffee making in room. Lots of hanging space. Room was on street side but no traffic noise. Friendly staff. Room was warm. Clean bedding. For a budget hotel I thought room was OK and would recommend.

Bed mattress a little old and not totally comfortable but slept OK. No lift so be aware. Housekeeping didnt have time to service our room in stay. small step /ledge under toilet kept tripping into it!

The value for money was great, considering the location. To be fair, I did get a room upgrade, but at the same time, I was still very pleasantly surprised as my expectations were slightly less. The staff were very friendly, and the room was quiet and overlooked some beautiful buildings in an area of London that really has come on over the years.

The corridors are a little bit tatty and could do with some refurbishment. But then again you don't sleep in the corridors and the room was perfectly okay, especially for central London at the price that I paid.
