We tried two rooms this time (this is our second visit to the same location one year apart): one Japanese.style and one western. After sleeping on the floor and getting sore, we moved to the western style room with the usual beds and we're extremely happier. It is literally 2+1 apartment with 2 rooms with their own Japanese sliding doors. (Good for parent privacy). The room had a complete dining set woth 5 chairs. Great view of the ski slope the hotel has (which open on 21st - don't go earlier if you will ski). There is a full-fledged family mart at the lobby. The restaurant is also very good. Nearby are Gala and yuzawa ski centers with have a variety of slopes if you are seeking a longer slope than the one the hotel has. Ski rental center is literally next door from the hotel. There is green shuttle every hour to the station and the ski centres named above. There is a public bath i never tied but I heard from the other Japanese guests that it is great.

Nothing worth mentioning. See you in 2025 December.

1) The shuttle bus between Echigo-Yuzawa station and the hotel was most helpful. 2) Lovely Japanese style room with a sink and a microwave oven. 3) Super child friendly. 4)Big library/reading room on the second floor, also a kids play zone. 5) Lovely hot spring area.

There wasn's a ski season report at the time of booking, so that I only knew the ski resort hadn't opened yet during the whole week I was there. I wish such essential information was put at the top of the hotel website. The whole trip was for the ski resort outside of the hotel, and yet it was not open. We had to take the shuttle bus everyday to the JR station, and then take another shuttle bus to the Gala Ski Resort, which makes my booking meaningless.

There was a beginners snow slope right there next to the hotel. We had some problems with lessons in English at the Ski school. They charge a fortunate are not flexible at all. The hotel staff go above and beyond to be helpful however- even driving me to an ATM when my card wouldn't work in their machine so I could hire ski stuff which is cash only. There is a locker key system for storing your bags on departure and arrival that can be confusing. The buffet is great and we loved the onson. There are cute robes in the room and a gym and pool. The room actually became too warm at night and we couldn't turn the heat down!

The ski school really let the experience down. Be ready to pay cash for ski hire and the skii school.

Location was convenient to the nearby ski slopes and snow play area. Shuttle bus pick up from echigo station was convenient. Breakfast selection was very good, my favourite part is the onsen of the hotel. There are two different location for onsen, loved the outdoor onsen.

Shuttle bus pick up was easy to navigate however bus interval was 30 mins, or even 60 mins . Therefore buses were always extremely packed. Would be nicer to have more frequent shuttle buses. Check in was self check in, I personally like a check in counter with staff explaining everything about facilities , onsen and breakfast time . You will need to do bit of reading and research by yourself

Conveniently located with shuttle bus and walking distance to Nakazoto ski resort. Family mart downstairs was convenient too. Tamami was spacious and comfortable.

Staff are not very friendly and don’t speak English. When I was speaking English, they called a Chinese staff to speak with me. They don’t clean the room, change towels. We had to bring the trash out and bring out used towels for clean ones. Everything seems self service here.

Shuttle bus service ran smoothly and check in was super easy and automated.

Beds / futons a little uncomfortable if you are more used to western mattresses. Five in a room was too tight but manageable as was summer. In winter with ski gear it would be too tight. Buffet restaurant was hectic to say the least and whilst a big selection not massively enjoyable. Ran smoothly however and was decent value.

Close to the ski resort and had lots of shuttle bus from the train station to the hotel. They also offered lots of public bath option.

We were check in at 10 in the morning, and the staff forgot to ask us about the breakfast option. Apparently there are 0630 and 0830 two time slot could be choose. After check in, we went directly to the ski resort and spent whole day. When we remembered about the breakfast, it was 1900 at night . We went to the lobby ask about it, and was told there was no room for 0830, we can only choose 0630 if we want to have breakfast. We were not pleasant but still accepted the arrangement. This was the only downside for our staying there.

I waited for more than 1 hours and no shuttle bus, the staf send me wrong information about the bus schedulle. They have an uodated one. And i try to reach them using booking.com chat but no answer. I call the hotel phone but have to call several times untill someone pivk the phone

The resort has great facilities. The spa is very spacious. The breakfast spread was also very good. If you drive like we do, there is ample carpark spaces. Not to mention, you could also choose to take train if you intend to drown some sake nearby.

Perhaps if we were to pick, there is few restaurant nearby. You will need to get out of the resort to get more food options

Ski in ski out. It was snowing when we were there. So fresh snow all the time during our stay. Chairlift is just 100 meters from the hotel back exit. Rental of snow equipment just infront of the hotel. You ll pay half of the rental rate if you stay in this hotel. Scenery....mesmerising!. Look forward for future trip here.
