Good location, friendly staff and locals. There is a good selection of local beers and, although we didn't sample this time ,an extensive wine list. Food is excellent. Good breakfast choice, well presented and delicious, the continental platter is yummy. Bedroom and bathroom clean and good selection of drinks available on the hospitality tray.
The mattress was really soft and seemed to dip towards the headboard so wasn't really comfortable. Would have been nice to have an easy chair in the bedroom. Also, mirror in bedroom was some distance from the nearest plug socket so couldn't see to blow-dry hair. Just a small thing as overall the place was great.

We were in an accessible room. It is clear that a great deal of very careful thought has gone in to making it fully wheelchair accessible. Doors are extra wide. All handles are easy to push including for the sink. Grab rails around toilet and shower: seat in shower, which is wet room style with no lips or steps. Room has no lips or steps; hard floors. Sink is at a height suitable for wheelchair users; toilet ditto. Bed was comfy, shower good, room a good size (and big enough that a wheelchair could manoeuvre around the bed). Food is truly excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is included and very nice. A wonderful place which I heartily recommend.
Nothing. You do need your own transport - car or bike.

Ground floor room directly accessed off the car park was excellent for our wheel-chair user. The room was large and spacious and just right for our needs (see below for comment on the bathroom though). The garden was outstanding, just for our room, we loved it. Breakfast was lovely and tasty (please supply porridge next time).
Even though it was described as an accessible accommodation, the bathroom was a little disappointing and not particularly wheelchair-user friendly. The shower wasn't suitable for a wheelchair and the W.C needed some grab rails. Maybe something to consider. Also, a review of the ramp angle into the pub and replacing the little step up to the accessible room with a ramp would make good improvements.

A really good base for our trip to The Side car guys experience in Morpeth. The rooms were in a block joining the public house. The room was of a good size, clean and comfortable. The whole place was well thought out with stylish decor. There was a plentiful supply of refreshments. With a kettle and coffee maker. The meals were of good quality. I especially liked the choice of breakfast. We chose our breakfasts the day before and booked a time. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay..
The rooms sound proofing was a little lacking.

Very clean room and bathroom. We were staying for a wedding, and it had everything we needed in the room such as iron/ironing board/hairdryer/coffee machine Breakfast was very nice too
The walls were quite thin, so this meant we could hear other guests in their apartments. Someone staying above us (we were in room 6) was walking around till about 2am and then we could hear them snoring. I understand the pre ordering breakfast the night before makes the service better on the day, but sometimes you just don't know what you are going to fancy.

The building itself is fantastic with a welcoming and comfortable bar and restaurant. Clean and modern mixed with traditional features. Room was clean and tidy with all facilities you would need for a stay. Parking on site. Meals were fantastic, could not fault the service.
Nothing to do with the accommodation or the staff, both were fantastic. Sadly our room was next to other guests that thought it was acceptable to argue all night long at the top of their voices. Why idiots like these would come to a beautiful place in the country such as this and spoil it for everyone else I have no idea.

Breakfast yoghurt&granola is great and came with berries and watermelon. Staff had breakfast ready for our booked time.
Sound insulation between rooms was poor. Our shower didn't drain but staff dealt with it promptly on request. Breakfast order form is ambiguous and inflexible. Cereal choice is poor and it is hard to avoid eggs in main course. We prefer our toast after the main course but this is not an option. Toast is only offered as 1 white & 1 brown slice.

Very enjoyable stay. Room was clean, Wi-fi good, tv good. Food (breakfast and we ate all three nights of the stay) was very tasty, just about priced right. Beer was good too. Car parking easy. The bar area is cosy with a nice fire, the restaurant seating is good. Friendly, helpful staff. The village is pretty - not too far from Morpeth, Corbridge and A1.
Little things only - better plug in bathroom basin, a floor towel for the bathroom (especially for the slight gap on the shower screen). Entrance of the pub through the restaurant was a little strange - having to walk past diners to get to the bar when checking in didn't feel very welcoming, but understand you use the space the best you can. If the flow through the pub could be organised differently it would be brilliant. Table booking system is a pain.

A lovely pub in a pretty village. The location was rural. However, getting to the local town by car was quick. There are lots of excellent places to visit in Northumberland which can be easily reached from here. Our room had all the amenities needed, and the bed was very comfortable. The food was good with a great choice for breakfast. Especially impressive were the lovely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend the Beresford Arms, and would love to return.

Perfect location for a local wedding. Ample space in the bedroom. Nicely styled. Breakfast was good.
It was an accessible room which meant the bathroom mirror was very low , perhaps for a person in a wheelchair. Just making the mirror longer would be inclusive of everyone. The toiletries were at the other side of the bathroom from the shower. Inside the shower there wasn’t anywhere to put toiletries. If a person struggled with mobility this may be problematic to them. The table with the in front of the mirror in the bedroom needed to be moved to put a hairdryer in. Not sure how this is useful in an accessible facility.
