It was such an amazing stay at Dar Baaziz. Location is perfect, situated within the medina in a quiet zone and close to everything. Adding to this, the decoration of the rooms and patio and, specially, how welcome the people are made this place feel like home :)

We really enjoyed everything at Dar Baaziz! We would just suggest to add a small lamp in the room for the night time and preventing to have the ceiling lights on once the sun sets.

Communication with Dar Baaziz was very good (note that Google Maps shows two houses under this name, therefore instructions from the host were very helpful to reach accordingly), Location is easy to reach and convenient without Sousse medina. The room was very stylish.

Nothing major to complain about. The breakfast was a bit basic, although the courtyard were it was served had a great ambiance. The room was a bit cold (we visited during low season).

Delightful owners and a beautiful home in a central, quiet location, walkable from all main sights. The room was comfortable and I had excellent sleeps. AC worked very well (essential in the summer heat) and they were able to do laundry for me at a very reasonable price. Breakfasts were filling. Gorgeous rooftop terrace with seating areas and impressive views over old Sousse.

Great location right in the center of the Medina. Clean and comfortable room. Outstanding helpful host, despite the language barrier.

WiFi worked great in common area, but weak signal in room.

The Dar is centrally located close to the Medina and the Archaeological museum. It is traditionally decorated but with modern amenities. The view from the terrace is beautiful, and the breakfast is filling and delicious!

Before arriving, I had asked how much it would cost to book a taxi to the airport, but the quote given to me at check-in was quite a bit higher.

The air conditioning and WiFi worked. They let us use their washing machine, refrigerator and microwave. The manager (who speaks no English) is very friendly. The location is quiet and a 10-minute walk from restaurants and the train station. The owner provided helpful information re. directions to the louage(shared taxi). Good value for the price.

The manager said he uses WhatsApp but he never answered my texts (the owner, contacted through Booking.com, was very responsive.). We stayed several nights and no one offered to clean our room. We did get fresh towels. The curtains in our room did not block out the morning light so we awoke very early because of the sun.

It gives one the feel of a home of old in Madinah of Sousse. Excellent WiFi and satellite TV. Location is excellent - close to train and bus station, and the Madinah. Short walk to main road to catch a taxi The owner, Samy Baaziz speaks English and from day 1 responded to our queries and requests for information

I would imagine breakfast should include fruit and yoghurt. The manger on site speaks French and Arabic and no English. We had to resort to Google Translate, which made it easier to communicate. The owner speaks English

Exceptionally charming host and beautiful guestroom. The rooftop terrasse with a view over the Médina of Sousse was fantastic and even had a hammock. For breakfast, we enjoyed fresh orange juice and homemade jam. The Dar is kept in an authentic Arab fashion and feels like a place from 1001 Nights. Walking distance to the port, the grande mosquée and the fort of Sousse. Certainly one of the best places we stayed in during our roadtrip through Tunisia.

The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner.

The breakfast was lovely, and the staff was really kind and helpful. The place is incredible; an old house, nicely renovated and with a long family history. It was a nice experience. The place was clean and the bed was really comfortable. It is in the heart of the old city and we could explore it and enjoy it. It was a real cultural experience to stay there.

A gorgeous traditional Tunisian guest house tucked away in the Médina. Our host was lovely, very accommodating and he did everything to make sure we had a comfortable stay. He even let us stay in “Dar Baaziz 2” another guest house just along from the original Dar Baaziz so we could have a twin bedded room as one was not available where we had booked. We could choose any of the rooms we wanted and we had the place to ourselves, which was great!

The water in DB2 went off every evening between 8pm and 6am which wasn’t a major issue but you had to make sure to shower b4 8pm!
