We liked everything! Great hosts who are informative, friendly and helpful, excellent location with an easy riverside walk to the medieval centre of Bergerac which is just lovely, The house has been renovated to a great standard and our beautiful en suite room had everything we needed including a big comfy bed plus a fantastic bathroom which I am still thinking of ! Bathrobes provided, and pool towels if you want to take a dip in the outside pool. The gardens around the house have also been well thought out with different areas to sit and chill out in. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was a relaxed affair. It is very clear that Nick and Jenny who are the owners of this characterful home have gone the extra mile to make a stay there one to remember for the right reasons! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.

Perfection, utter perfection! From booking to departure, every aspect of this accommodation was just wonderful. Shortly after booking I was contacted by Jenny & Nick, who helpfully offered to arrange a pickup from the airport, and recommended a few places to eat if we wanted them to book somewhere for us in advance.  So thoughtful and kind.  They booked the Bistro D’En Face for us on our first night – amazing food and service, would highly recommend! The residence is only 10 minutes’ drive from the airport, and once settle it is a 10 minute leisurely stroll along the riverbank into the heart of the old town of Bergerac. Our room was beautiful – clean and charming, with everything we needed. Gorgeous big bathroom, with a lovely rainfall shower and double sinks, bathrobes also supplied if we wished to use.  The bed was comfortable, and a ceiling fan kept us cool during an unusually humid and hot night, whilst the consideration of mozzy nets over the windows kept the critters out. The room was quiet, just the sounds of birds really through the night. Breakfast was incredible – thick chunks of fresh bread, crumbly buttery croissants, ham and cheese, jams, Greek yogurt, cereal, and gorgeous fresh fruit.  Pots of tea and filter coffee were plentiful, and it was nice to chat with the other couples staying about where they were exploring, or treasures of villages they recommended we visit. A little fridge downstairs is well stocked with beer, wine, and soft drinks for resident to use on an honesty-basis – again a thoughtful touch. Jenny and Nick have made the garden area outside a little paradise.  Nooks and crannies in the garden with scattered seating mean you can always find a peaceful spot to sit and watch the world go by, read a book, snooze in the sun, or take a dip in the pool. Comfy sofas, a hammock, or sun loungers are there to use throughout the day, and there is even an area to hone one’s pétanque skills.

The property was really lovely and the hosts Nick & Jen were very personable and helpful during our stay. Prior to arrival they were kind enough to book a restaurant so we didn’t have to wander round looking for somewhere to eat. The garden/pool area was like an oasis and we loved using this after a day out travelling around prior to going out in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble for Nick & Jen to make our stay a memorable one and we wouldn’t hesitate recommending a stay here in what is an amazing property.

Fabulous location on a quiet road, but only a short & very pleasant walk to Bergerac along the river. Warm welcome from Jenny & Nick, who also booked a restaurant for us, in advance of our stay. Lots of free parking right outside the property. The outdoor pool was open but unfortunately it was too chilly for us to use, but lots of places to relax in garden and a petanque terrain, which we did use and enjoyed. We had the downstairs guest room. Bed really comfortable with excellent quality bed linen and several pillows. Room also had 2 chairs and coffee table (I hate it when a room is for 2 people and there is only 1 chair!!) Also provided was a Nespresso coffee machine with coffee pods, kettle, variety of tea and a bottle of water. HUGE bathroom with soft fluffy towels, bath robes and a great shower with rainfall head. Continental breakfast of juice, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, ham, cheese, croissant and bread. Cafetiere of coffee or tea. Hosts super friendly and informative. They have 2 very friendly dogs, Ruby and Bentley, but they are kept away from guests, unless you ask to see them, which I did!! We would definitely return to R&R Bergerac

The hosts were very welcoming, showed us around the property and to our room, which they generously upgraded us to. The garden is beautiful with plenty of seating areas and a large pool, which was needed as it was so hot when we stayed. Jen arranged a transfer for us to and from the airport. Location is great, a short walk along the river into the beautiful town of Bergerac. Definitely recommend

Nothing, all great

Great location (about 15 - 20 mins walk from the centre), lovely hosts, extremely quiet accommodation and secure. Breakfast was extremely good and we were treated royally on the day of our wedding anniversary, which was unexpected but a lovely surprise. From how they described its condition when they bought it, Nick and Jenny have done a great job with the property and it is very homely and traditional.

Can't think of anything that we didn't like, but perhaps a couple of extra hangers in the wardrobe?

Excellent room Excellent breakfast We arrived early, and were allowed to drop off our luggage and then go walk about while room was being cleaned. We had to leave before normal breakfast, they made up a carry out breakfast for us. Owners went the extra required to try and make your stay as comfortable/enjoyable as they could. If you like wine, the cloisters was about 15 mins stroll into the centre of town, we visited on both days, two different vineyards offering tastings in a lovely setting. A lovely base for a stay in Bergerac .

Small hotel in a quiet location with easy free on-street parking, run by friendly English couple who kindly organised our taxi transfer from the airport. Comfortable bed and beautiful shower room. Excellent breakfast served in a beautiful dining room with a fantastic selection of different prepared fresh fruit, quality yoghurt and a cafetiere of coffee. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the accommodation. We only stayed a couple of nights but would have been happy to stay longer.

The property has been beautifully restored and decorated inside . The outside area has a great mix of furniture both around the pool and the garden. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and modern. Very nice continental breakfast. Nick and Jenny were terrific hosts and very informative. Great location. Just a short walk along by the river to the old town. Would definitely recommend

The property is beautiful, very French and sympathetically restored. The pool and lounge chairs are in a wonderful sun trap if you want to spend the afternoon by the pool. And when you fancy a walk into town it’s literally a 10 minute leisurely walk to the centre. The hosts, Nick and Jenny, were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, they were welcoming, helpful and offered a delicious continental breakfast in their beautiful dining room.
