The Villas are large and super comfy. The views are just breathtaking, private pool is a nice touch. Private hotel beach is very clean with crystal clear water (not always, depends on the weather). Personnel is always smiling, very helpful and responsive. Food is decent, although Saffron is clearly 1-2 points above The Edge. You get to experience „being in a jungle” while staying at very luxurious and comfortable place.

For Thailand it’s very pricey - expect to pay ~500-700 Baht per single dish (we are vegetarian, meat and seafood is more pricey I guess), similar for drinks. In general - the views, smiling staff, the villas and the secluded location make up for it, but you will feel a bit „milked” as a customer - some of the services really shouldn’t cost that much.

Our stay at Banyan Tree was an unforgettable experience, and it was made truly special by the exceptional hospitality of the team. A special thank you to Abby, Tak, and Dada – their incredible service, kindness, and thoughtful hosting made us feel at home every single day. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their positive energy and professionalism left a lasting impression. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight, offering a wide and delicious selection. A big shout-out to Nee, Bestie, and John, who greeted us every day with the biggest smiles and made sure our mornings started in the best way possible. Their friendliness and attentiveness were truly heartwarming. Dinner at both Sands and Saffron was outstanding – the flavors, presentation, and ambiance were world-class. Every meal was a culinary delight, and the staff made each dining experience feel personalized and elegant. Banyan Tree combines luxury with soul – it’s not just a beautiful resort, but a place where people make the difference. We are already looking forward to returning. The spa experience was another highlight – we had a relaxing couple massage that was truly exceptional and left us feeling completely renewed. While Banyan Tree is a fantastic choice for families with kids – offering plenty of space and activities – couples can also find peaceful, romantic corners to relax and unwind. It’s a versatile resort that caters beautifully to both.

The fact that our stay was way too short!

The Room and Private Pool was very large, clean and fabulous. Smart TVs were easy to use with casting. Bed and Linens were very comfortable. Breakfast service and all staff were lovely. The Property is Beautiful!

There is a very bright light that lights up the room at night from the on wall aircon temp control screen. There needs to be a way to cover it or turn it off. or bring dark tape.. Guests who want to see more than a tiny glimpse of the ocean need to book a direct ocean view room as our partial ocean view would more correctly be described as a lovely garden view.

We have stayed in hundreds, possibly thousands of hotels across the world, the Banyantree Samui is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in, the hotel set in the Gulf of Thailand has the most incredible views, staff & vibe we have ever found. Even prior to arrival every request we made was met without hiccup, the villa we chose matched the images shown which is not often the case, the staff, facilities, cleanliness & activities were all immaculate. A special mention to Anna our villa manager, an absolutely amazing kind, warm & wonderful person who helped bringing me some electrolyte drinks after a bout of food poisoning from another hotel, Stapmf who served us in the bar every evening with a host of information & useful local knowledge & last but not least Remko the General manager who is the most engaging, sincere & kind hotel manager we have ever came across, he helped us extend our stay without even a hint of a problem & was around everyday making sure things were running perfectly which they did. 100% recommend the Banyantree Samui, an amazing hotel with the loveliest staff of any hotel we have stayed in over the last 30 years.

Everything was perfect. Loved The Property, Staff, Service, Room, Pool, Food. Everything .. Thank you Beauty, Abby, Ja, Sydney, Ram, Sky, Ann and everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.

Only small points. we would suggest to make the experience even better would be to have some good thai choices at breakfast like they did on previous stays. And they need more staff at Saffron on thai night…

The location of Banyan tree, not too far or close to the city. The friendliness of staff, very accommodating, welcoming, and just hospitable. The efficiency of staff when it comes to services, such as cleaning and buggy rides. The cleanliness of the beach. The whole villa, the view, the quietness, serenity. In general, it was all amazing.

not all, but the quality of food was not up to expectation and some items were not cooked properly (e.g tasteless). The butter at the breakfast buffet was not the best. The hairdryer in the room could be replaced with something better and stronger as it is quite mild.

The hotel is absolutely an amazing treat! We are traveling with three little ones 5 and under, and we travel once every couple months, that’s a lot of traveling with young kids and I have to say this one stood out. From check in to check out, the team is absolutely fantastic, everyone seems to be so friendly and kind, detail oriented and thoughtful, there’s better views but the customer service is what you pay for. Nan is our villa host, she’s done a great job; James from Sands are so kind and patient with my kids; the staff from the beach are so warm and welcoming; all the buggy guys are driving very carefully and nice to us: housekeeping are absolutely wonderful too, with little kids, room needs pros to take care of!

Octopus club - which is there kids club is not as big as I expected, and the staff there doesn’t seem like she cares much about the children, genuinely the least interested person I have met through the hotel. And their first aid box contains loads of expired items as well, my little one had a boo boo there so I noticed.

Everything. Our villa was amazing, beautiful, spacious, flawlessly clean. It was private and quiet, as if nested inside a jungle, yet gave us the experience of true luxary. The staff was also amazing and friendly, I'll mention a few by name: our villa host Chan who checked in with us daily, offered us advice and recommendations when needed, and fulfilled every request we had. The housekeeper Pao that made sure our room remained clean and tidy picked up on our personal preferences without us saying anything. Kwan the host at the breakfast lounge that greated us with a smile each morning and made sure we have everything we need. Also everyone else that I don't remember by name, from the buggy drivers to the staff at the beach club.

The staff were impeccable - almost like they were using intuition to suggest what more we could do/use/need. Its like they imagined our wishes and fulfilled them with a smile. They were humble and very personable. All in all the extraordinary thing was that the staff were so kind, happy, and appeared genuinely to enjoy our surroundings as me as we did. The collaboration between the staff was tangible in every area. We loved the beach area which included the equipment and staff all of which was supported by excellent service. Breakfast catered for western tastes however we were very happy that the chef went beyond the menu and provided us with special vegetarian local cuisine. The villa was extremely comfortable allowing sufficient space for 2 people to enjoy it and the surrounding pool and external recreation area. The privacy of our villa was important and we were not disappointed. The view was fantastic. Housekeeping was sensitive to our needs and always fitted in to remake the room at odd hours when we left the resort. The bed was terrific. We were so comfortable. Really all the facilities in the villa were faultless. The interior design of the villas coupled with the style of furniture and most importantly the quadruple headed rose on the shower were an inspiration. The complimentary toiletries were of high standard. We would like to make special mention of the following staff members with whom we formed a personal connection and who made our stay such a happy one. Pab (our daily morning EV Buggy driver who also provided a big surprise to my Partner who was celebrating her birthday and he decorated his buggy with a happy birthday banner). It was fantastic. Sali - a buggy driver; Phan, Bhang,Fahruk and the rest of the beach staff; Pla - supervisor in the breakfast room. He was wonderful; Annie, sky (who went and purchased mangosteen's for us ); Tai in the breakfast room with John (sous chef). And lastly thank you Rainer!

We really enjoyed being picked up from the airport by a Banyan car and staff member and being delivered to the resort. The same occurred in reverse when we left after our stay. Even the presence of a Banyan staff member at the airport who saw us through check in and bag drop gave us a feeling of continuous support and superb service of Banyan. We feel this taxi/car service could be provided as a complimentary service particularly to those guests who stay longer as we did for 13 nights.

Amazing place thanks a lot for Take who was handling us. Amazing Hotle which Have Halal Food made our stay amazing and Room service were excellent. Great escape location and amazing for happy moon. Also the Hotle family friendly yes we will go back in. The future with our kids

Lizard was issue in the 2nd villa when we extended our place the hotel team were so supportive and super helpful still amazing I suggest to select well being villa was super amazing.
