This is my second stay at the Ibis Hotel in Köln. Once again it met my expectations. It's comfortable, easy to get to and the staff are incredibly helpful. There is a Lidl nearby and various fast food chains, takeaways, sandwich shops and coffee shops within easy walking distance, as well as a tram stop nearby. Obviously this is a budget hotel, so for some the rooms might be very small, but for myself and my sister it was enough and gave us the room to breathe and relax after a long day. This time around I opted out of paying extra for the buffet, however the option is there even if you don't have it included in your booking for an extra €15, which is always helpful if you don't want to go out and eat early in the morning. It's a great budget hotel for a weekend or a long-term stay.

I was in Cologne for a conference at the University, thus, I looked for a hotel close to the conference venue that I could reach on foot I booked at Ibis. The room was small but very well organized. I could see the majestic cathedral towers from my window—a nice view. Breakfast was okay and everything was continuously refilled until 10 am, nothing would be missing as well as for late breakfast. The staff is also kind.

Staff were excellent, not the ibis I thought I had booked tbh as we were visiting the xmas markets, however it turns out we enjoyed it more as it took you out the way of the markets and there is a lovely bakery around the corner for excellent breakfast and opposite a superb pub with huge inexpensive meals and great atmosphere

Breakfast good, comfortable bed. Room adequate. Good price/ quality ratio. Enough table/ shelf space for a short stay. Excellent location - tram very near. All staff were polite.

No tea or coffee in the room. Bathroom a little small. One receptionist knew nothing about a taxi to the airport - she said it would cost around 20 euros but it was 45. The electronic bill you sent was addressed to 'Herr' June Cook - I'm female and always have been! Level of training of staff was inconsistent - some were knowledgeable and professional, others didn't really seem to know what they should do.

room was o.k. ,bathroom a little bit too small. we did not had breakfast. A good location for a short stay and meet frends or family. Direct connection for Streatrailway to go to hotspots in Köln

Manny people standing around in the lobby. It would be good to have a plan of restaurants and bar's near by. Outside quite dirty, but this is not your fault.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful, accommodating and attentive, going the extra mile.

The room had everything I needed. For some it might be a little too basic. The shower was fantastic but the bathroom rather tight and I'm not tall nor overweight. So might have to be a bit of a squeeze for larger guests. There might be other rooms with bigger bathrooms - I'm just describing the one I stayed in.

You won't find a better cheap stay in the city. Relatively close to the city center, clean rooms, quite spacious for the money with a surprisingly nice view from the window. Friendly staff, they borrowed me an iron and were generally quick with checking me in and out.

Slightly small bathroom, especially the toilet was positioned weirdly in the corner, but I didn't mind it. No wardrobe, just coat hangers. You also can't turn off the main light and use only the one by the bed (mildly annoying).

Great Location, clean , friendly staff members, bar & easy parking access. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, as round the corner theres a lovely BackWerk with a variety of items!

Toilet/shower was a little tight but we managed . It’s doable for a short stay. Ig traveling longer consider buying the necessities as they Don’t provide it only body shampoo. But its not a biggy ☺️

We have spent 5 nights at the hotel. Our stay was perfect and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, there are plenty of options outside :) Room was not big but we had all necessary elements there.

We were missing tea/coffee making facilities. It would be very good to have, but then again, we were eating outside so no real issue here...

There was a good selection for breakfast, considering the price, I'd say it was a great spread. The staff was very friendly and assures that your table and the buffet stays clean.

The room was considerably pretty small and it was hard to move around in it for 2 people. The bathroom felt really cramped at most times. For a hotel, the room has pretty thin walls, but it wasn't too bad.
