This hotel was immaculate. The converted historical water tower makes for such a unique and stunning experience. The interior brickwork and layout is truly beautiful. The staff was exceptionally friendly and competent and spoke multiple languages perfectly. The facilities were in excellent condition and looked like they belonged in a magazine. We especially loved the complimentary tea and coffee bar and the hot sauna. The rooms were extremely comfortable, super clean, with excellent water pressure in the bathrooms, and even heated floors. The AC also worked perfectly and we had a great view of the city. There is a rooftop cocktail bar that has a panoramic view of the whole city and frankly we liked the hotel so much it was hard to leave to go walk around the city! Would recommend this property to anyone.

We knew when we booked it that it would be a little longer walk to the historical old town center of Cologne, but the walk was easy and worth it to stay at this property. There are fewer restaurants in the immediate viscinity but plenty of places within an 8 - 10 minute walk.

Amazing building, very well converted and totally unique. Rooftop bar and terrace also a lovely place to spend some time (view as per pic). Location a 15 min walk to city centre so a pretty good compromise.

Our suite room was lovely but the odd few marks on walls etc which needed a tiny bit of tlc meant it wasn't as perfect as it could have easily been. Would prefer a door between living space and bedroom so the two rooms could be used with greater independence - e.g. watching the TV if someone is sleeping.

We found our initial suite on the second floor dark - few windows and not enough lighting. So, we upgraded to a suite on the 10th floor, which was far better with windows. The hotel is well located - not in the middle of the absolute core, so less noisy, but within walking distance of everything we were interested in. The staff were very helpful. We would come again.

The interior of the hotel looks a little dated and worn. We both thought it was time for a redo.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, nice extra touches like bottles water and an Easter biscuit. Everything we needed in the room. Friendly check in. Extra comfortable bed and great shower. Really interesting building and different/special place to stay.

There was an event on in the bar on one of the nights and the music was unnecessarily loud and traveled down to the rooms below. One of the lifts was out of service so sometimes had to wait to reach the room.

Really interesting place to stay. Liked the lounges on the ground floor as a place to hang out and have a coffee or tea. The bar was nice when it wasn't busy with great views over the city. The room was very nice but way too hot even without the heating on we had to have the window open the whole time and take off the duvet!

The bar was so busy on Saturday night that we couldn't get a drink which was a shame as it was my husband's birthday and couldn't make use of a free drinks voucher either (a nice system if you don't want your room cleaned is that you get a voucher but we couldn't use it).

Unusual building, converted water tower, beautifully designed inside with very comfortable and well designed bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The reception staff were really excellent. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived. Unfortunately the heating didn’t work in our room so a heater was instantly provided for us,and when the engineers were unable to fix it the next day we were offered an alternative room which we declined as the room was warm enough with the heater. So we were offered a free drink in the bar, and the next evening a beautiful bottle of wine and delicious macarons were delivered to our room by way of apology. Totally unnecessary but very thoughtful and very much appreciated. Many thanks to reception for looking after us.

The rooftop bar is amazing but could do with more seating

Amazing conversion of the tower. Lovely room on the 10th floor overlooking the city. Air con was not working but an engineer arrived quickly and managed to sort out the issue. The breakfasts were amazing with individual meals cooked to order. The apple crumble French toast was a favourite. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Certainly worth seeking this hotel out.

The location is good, 10 min to the conference on Taxi and 10 min walking to the center of the city. Very comfortable beds. Nice roof bar with amazing view, breakfast is good as well.

I stayed in the room that had a door to another room. Whenever somebody was talking in the adjacent room, I could hear everything as if it were in my own room. It was a disaster when a drunk couple returned from a party at 3 am; I had to go to the reception. Fortunately, they managed to calm them down. Additionally, my plans changed, and I had to leave one day earlier. I had requested compensation for this change two months in advance. However, the management wasn't helpful at all; their response was essentially, 'You have a non-refundable booking, f#$k off, what else you want'. But in situations like this, it would have been nice to be offered a room upgrade or at least a drink. Unfortunately, they offered nothing

Original, 'insolite'. Close to the city-center. Well-equipped spacious room, very nice view over the city of Cologne. Great breakfast, although quite expensive (31 euros per person).

Noise in our room on 10th floor - due to roof-top bar just above n 11th floor, with quite a bit of 'boom-boom' until 1 o'clock. Expensive and narrow garage, with unclear getting-in and getting-out instructions ( creating a lot of unnecessary stress)

The property was very beautiful…hard to imagine it was once a water tower! Such an incredible place to stay and while it was not right in the city center, it was an easy walk to get there. We loved our room (with its spiral staircase leading to a loft with the beds!) and were welcomed with a handwritten note, some truffles and a small bottle of wine. It was the perfect stop for the last night of our vacation…very memorable!
