Saunas and swimming pool, free billiards, the location of the hotel itself is great with nice views from the upper floors. Our room had a balcony, a bathtub and a separate shower, which was a nice solution.

The rooms could be cleaned a little better, far too much dust in many places. The soundproofing of the rooms could be better, because on the weekend, when people walked almost all night in the corridors, entering and leaving their rooms, they caused so much noise that it was difficult to sleep because you can hear everything that is happening around here.

The hotel is a building with a history (apparently a former convent). The rooms are spacious and the decoration rather typical. Of course, fans of aseptic, modern hotels will be disappointed. There are sometimes dents in the walls, and the furniture is not always very young. Our room was spacious and the wellness area very pleasant. The free car park is appreciated. In my opinion, the main strength is the quality of the welcome. Selma was perfect: smiling, attentive and proactive. Impeccable! The breakfast was just what we expected.

The only downside for me was the evening meal in the restaurant. Two unremarkable cocktails (very sweet and not fresh enough) before a three-course menu. There was little choice. Three starters, three main courses, three desserts. Although the plates were beautifully presented, the flavours were often overpowered by unoriginal sauces. I don't think the quality of the food is worth the price. What a shame! We'll be coming back only for the hotel.

The sauna and steam room were realy nice but it needs clear directions and there was no water available in the sauna. The steam room said it takes 30 minutes but no signs on how to use the room. When to turn on the faucet, how long? The many showers and seating was nice. The pool was nice but hot tub water temperature was same as the pool and according other patrons heating of water hasn't worked all week according to patrons who stay there often for work). And when I saw a family taking a toddler in hot tub, not hygienic I was done. The hotel got some nostalgic vibes but it needs beter signs directions to front desk, exit etc.. Confusing with the many hallways and two exits off the elevator floors. Yes there was big sign in elevator but still not clear what way to go. Signing and arrows on wall would be helpful. Bed was too soft for my liking. I would stay there again because of the price and having indoor pool and sauna and it being clean spacious place close to down town

Breakfast was great! Lots of options, fresh eggs, multiple juices, seeds and musli, several types of bread and baked food. The view in the restaurant was amazing, staff was super friendly and we ate a lot!

It seems like they're somehow related to the sportive hunting. In the game room lies a huge moose head, which I personally find disturbing, first because it's a dead animal, second because it can be a bit scary, my daughter didn't really know how to deal with it once she saw it... I think they could have skipped the hunting trophies, but I do know it's still a popular sport in The Netherlands.

Nice, older hotel. Breakfast was wonderful. The place has beautiful character. We were very happy with the room for our family and the location for walking around town. Parking was great, easy and ample. Staff were very nice and spoke English. Pool is large. Holiday decorations were really nice.

The shower in the room was tricky. Hard time regulating temperature and sprayed out a bit. The hot tub was not warm.

The swimming pool and the bubble bath were nice. Not crowded and at good temperature (could be a bit higher) Very comfortable beds and breakfast was with a nice view. A good hotel if you love historical places

It might need a renovation. The wall had a few dents in the hotel room The hairdryer could not really keep up and there were no power sockets next to the bed

We did not indulge in the spa or breakfast facilities as we were there for the Christmas experience that is Volkenburg. Coffee making facilities in the room were acceptable but the possibility of making 2 cups each would have been nice. The shower pressure was superb as was the bed & pillows etc, one of the best nights sleep in a hotel ever which was surprising given my comment below.

The stench from the bathroom was totally overpowering which obviously entered into the sleeping area every time the bathroom door was opened. I believe it was coming from the shower/sink drain but only minimally improved after taking a shower/wash.

The family room was really big, with huge beds. Very clean and comfortable. The pool was a good bonus, quite a good size. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice, great food and a great view from the breakfast room. Would definitely come back.

My only negative was that there didn't seem to be many staff for welcoming guests on their arrival. Lots of machines for checking in, but difficult to use if you don't speak the language. Staff very friendly though!

The room was wonderful, just what we wanted. Your staff were welcoming and helpful. The pool was our favorite and the open hours are perfect for early risers and late owls. Thank you!

The mattresses were very soft. The lack of towels in the locker rooms and having to "turn in" our wet towels to be provided clean ones was surprising. A sign in the room to take towels with you to the pool would be terrific.

historical hotel situated near the forest in very nice park and city, very good breakfast with fresh pancakes (on request) in beautiful restaurant and sunny terrace, free saunas with indoor pool :) which were open nearly the whole day - exceptional, free parking places at elevated place - close to the reception which is situated on 3rd floor from behind
