Breakfast not as good as usual but we arrived early and some things weren’t ready. NIce to use glass dishes which were taken away by staff. We had dinner the night before and food was good but only one waiter and a lot of time he was out of site. Bathroom in front entrance was out of order and our room was way at the back. We had had a long travel time and wanted to use a bathroom but had to wait till we were checked in. Booked in Booking.com and price was higher at the hotel, even though I had my confirmation from Booking.com. Clerk told me to contact them.

I booked this room after my flight at DTW was canceled without the airline offering a hotel voucher. I wanted an inexpensive room, but still decent quality, with an easy free shuttle service to the airport. The shuttle runs 24 hours a day, every half hour, and it only took 5 min to get to the airport. This place exceeded my expectations, for what I paid, which was around $100 for a king room. The decor was a little dated but still very clean, and my room was large and quiet, and I slept really well on the bed. The hotel has a large restaurant and bar and a pool in the grassy center courtyard (the building is like a giant square with a large center courtyard). I didn't eat there, but the menu looked good, and I appreciated that they had half Middle Eastern options, which is one of the region's best food options and great if you're looking for healthy options (they have all the standard American diner fare, too). I would have gotten dinner and a drink at the bar but I fell asleep. I'd stay again if I needed a hotel in the area. It seems like an especially good option for couples, families, and groups since there are many areas to hang out outside of the room. It also seems like a very popular place with flight attendants, which is a good sign.

This is extremely minor, but I would have liked for the shuttle to drop me off at my car rental place after doing the terminal drop-offs. Instead, I had to wait at the terminal for Avis car rental shuttle, which, for some reason, took 45 minutes to come. I think the hotel shuttle driver would have probably dropped me off if he understood my request, but there was a language barrier, so maybe this could be arranged with the front desk. Then my stay would have been perfect!

Room was pretty quiet for being right by the airport. Lots of room to lay out multiple large suitcases. Breakfast opens quiet early and is self serve so can grab something quickly before getting on the shuttle which is free (just have to ring for pickup from airport and it leaves every 30min from the hotel).

The room was a little dusty. The fittings and fixtures were a little outdated (but the bedside lamps with outlets helped with making phone charging easy).

- I would appreciate at least small variety for Breakfast. Same configuration everyday - not really exciting for longer stay. But hotel is probably focused on short time stays when flying from/to Detroit. - Some rooms might be more noisy when oriented towards the railway

Convenient to airport. Rate included continental breakfast, which I unfortunately missed.

Bathtub/shower not equipped with any grab bars for safety and support, particularly since bathtub surface was slick…no ribbing or shower mat for stability. That is important no matter how old the traveler is. Families who stayed there made no attempt to control their kids, who ran up and down the hall making a racket. They also knocked randomly on doors.

I arrived at night during a power outage due to heavy storms that day. I wasn't able to call the hotel for a free shuttle ride because the phones were out, so managed to get a ride to the hotel through another hotel shuttle service. The hotel was dark except for emergency lighting, and there was no internet service, hot water, air-conditioning, or even working electronic keys. Nonetheless the staff members were very accommodating and worked hard to make sure everyone got a room with as much available as possible. In fact, I requested a room change and they moved me to a better room on the first floor with at least one emergency light that worked, so I could see my way around the room. The next morning, the free hot breakfast was not available because we still didn't have power. One staff member kindly offered me free bottled coffee drinks, as well as snacks, from their small on-site store. The bed was very comfortable and I was able to sleep well. I would like to return to this hotel at a normal time to see how things usually operate. I would say that the staff did a great job of making the best of a difficult situation, and making everyone feel like valued guests.

I wasn't happy with my first room on the first floor, which had windows that didn't seem to lock properly. My next room was much better window-wise. I liked the shower but wished that it had grab bars for safety. The bathroom floor when wet was slippery.

I did point out some needed repairs for the room - clip was needed on a widow drape to keep light out of the room, some sort of small water leak in bathroom and the toilet paper holder needed some patching and re-painting. I figured these things would never get repaired if no one pointed out the repairs are needed. I am sort of surprised that the housekeeping supervisor hadn't reported the need for these repairs., but maybe such reporting isn't required - however, how else can management know what needs attention if the supervisor or a guest doesn't report the problems? The supervisors seems like the preferable choice to me.

Location was great......next to a 24 hour 7-Eleven. Alot of parking. Outdoor swimming pool was great. Incredible customer service to satisfy all your needs. LUIS at the counter went above and beyond with his exceptional customer service skills.

Hotel was going through renovations. Television needed an upgrade. But a positive for the future. The only thing I didn't like was breakfast stopped at 9am. Which was way too early. Overall it was a great place to stay......hotel a bit worn....but satisfactory of all your needs despite going through renovations.

The staff was very nice and the hotel was in a great location, close to the airport.

The pool was very dirty and the bathroom door didn't lock. I think it had been recently painted so I'd the door was open, the lock worked. When you closed the door, it had a hard time shutting and would not lock. Also, there was only one trash can in the room, and it was located in the bathroom.

the location couldn’t have been any better for us getting in from the airport at 1am! it was nice and close, easy to get to. it was clean and the price was very good. the area the breakfast was served was clean and very nice. made for a nice breakfast before checking out. the fitness center could use a lil updating but it did its job for a morning workout.
