You can't beat the location. It is right on Tomales bay and there are numerous hiking trails throughout the property, all with stunning views of the bay and nature. The rooms are very nicely decorated and laid out (e.g. King bed on bottom and twin in loft). Rooms are nicely appointed and outfitted in an upscale mid-century modern style. Complimentary coffee and tea and snacks are located in the lobby and coffee and tea are available in each room. They have lovely comfortable robes and slippers for use in each room as well as a sound machine for those who need it and complimentary ear plugs (hushers). The lotion and soaps smell super nice and are very high-end made with natural ingredients. There are no televisions in the rooms so it really is a nature getaway which can be a bonus or a con depending on how you view it. There is wifi throughout the property which is good because cell phone coverage is almost non-existant. The restaurant is California gourmet with high quality, locally-sourced ingredients.

The restaurant menu needs a chicken option and more options for kids. Televisions might be something that people miss since there are no TV's in the rooms. Not many amenities (no pool, spa or sauna).

Beautiful location and surroundings. Hiking trails and wildlife nearby. We watched the sunrise on top of the hill and the view was amazing. Loved the rooms and the decor. Nice fire-pit outside. We were able to see deer, wild turkeys, birds etc on the grounds. Had time to visit Tony's Seafood, but ran out of time to visit PT. Reyes lighthouse and Heart's Desire Beach. Hope to return.

We went twice for morning coffee, but the coffee dispenser was out. Third time back to lobby and we were able to get a morning cup. Morning receptionist was slightly rude stating" I can't make the coffee brew any faster" Jeez, maybe have some brewed ready on hand. Guest etiquette needs improvement. Some scones or bagels would have been a perfect touch.

It was a lovely place, secluded and quiet. The room was fun, functional, and comfortable. Roasting marshmallows (supplies provided by lodge) around the fire pit was fun, although it was quite crowded. Lovely trails to spots with wonderful views on property. Friendly and helpful staff.

Reception staff mentioned all of the things that are available to guests (coffee, tea, etc.), but then didn't have some things available (the tea shipment hadn't come in supposedly).

Lovely lodge style hotel in beautiful grounds at an amazing location. Lovely common areas to read, relax, and have a cup of tea. The hotel buildings are set in a park, ideal for a relaxing walk. It's only a short walk down to Tomales Bay - I went down very early to enjoy a walk in the fog.

The restaurant wasn't open - there's a great seafood restaurant a five minute drive / twenty minute walk away, so not too bad really. But do note that the seafood restaurant (Tony's) closes at 19h30, I almost missed dinner altogether!

Beautiful, Clean, modern location In a State park nestled in redwood Spanish moss forest just above Tomales Bay. Great architecture, landscaping, history, Oysters,Cheese, wine, produce and art abound in area. Try Mabel’s Restaurant on property

It was really clean, lots of room and well organized. Very cool history of the place. It was really convenient on our trip down the coast. We booked the day we stayed there and they were really accommodating. If we go back that way we'll stay longer.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Sea Ranch vibe, aesthetically pleasant interior design, lack of TV, walking trails around the property. Wild life - we saw a fox right next to one of the buildings!

Lack of seating options in the room (there was only 1 chair in the room for 3 people)
