We had five nights here for our honeymoon and Viceroy Bali was nothing short of exceptional. Our deluxe villa was heavenly and the resort itself was absolutely stunning, with beautiful thatched villas, infinity pools, and beautiful breezy bar and restaurant areas, all overlooking the jungle. Breakfast and dinner and Cascades was wonderful. We also had the pleasure of having cocktails in Pinstripe bar and dinner at Apertif restaurant, which was simply the most amazing fine dining experience we have ever had. Above all though, what makes this place truly special are the incredible staff. So friendly, always happy to have a chat and show you around, and to go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for an unforgettable stay. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, we feel so lucky to have spent our honeymoon here and they really made it special. Book it, you will not be disappointed.

Nothing at all, everything was perfect.

Absolutely amazing property! The room was huge with a private heated pool, and the staff was very attentive and amazing service. The food was good in their restaurant and the main resort pool had a lovely jungle view.

The toilet is located outside the room and there were lizards coming in from outside. I’m scared of lizards which was annoying middle of the night.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom pool villa with our 3 children and had a wonderful experience. The service staff were exceptional; always smiling, genuinely caring, and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. Every request, from children’s floats to small extras, was granted without hesitation. The villa itself was spectacular, with great food quality and excellent “butler-style” communication via WhatsApp, making everything effortless. We also enjoyed the dance event during our stay.

The only downside was that the marble floor can get quite slippery when wet, which is something to watch out for if you have young children.

The location, our beautiful Deluxe Terrace Villa, the food, the jungle valley views but most importantly the staff. 😃 They were the warmest, kind hearted and just lovely. Always greeted you with a big smile wherever you went in. All so polite and always happy. There is nothing they would not do for you. The whole experience was superb. We felt so at home. A special mention to Catur or ‘Chess’ as we called him. He was very good to us and taught us so much about Bali and the culture. We first met when he collected us from the airport. During our stay he took us on a full day tour of the rice terraces, temples, volcano and waterfalls and took us to a family run, wood sculpture carving business. He would go out of his way to stop at unique locations, telling you all the history and always teaching us new words. Patrick, my husband and I have stayed in some wonderful hotels over the years, but you have set the bar very high with the most wonderful team.

Everything was perfect except for the one day when there were young children running around the gym without supervision whilst my husband was working out. The same children went running through the restaurant on one occasion. Guests come here for a peaceful and relaxing stay. I do not think this is the right environment for young children unless well behaved as they can unfortunately disturb the tranquil environment for guests.

Even when we encountered a minor issue, it was resolved promptly and with genuine care, further proving the team’s exceptional service. The longer we stayed, the more connected we felt to this magical place. It elevated our entire Bali experience, and we are already dreaming of our return. Without a doubt, If you’re heading to Ubud, don’t think twice, don’t think twice, this is the place to stay. It’s not just a luxury resort; it’s an experience, a sanctuary and is a haven of indulgence.

immaculate gardens and infinity pool and the staff are fabulous. we even met the owner who stays there regularly and the hotel has a terrific family hospitality vibe

it is really nice but rooms and the spa are also nice and expensive ( and multiple by 10 of what you get in town). Also the honeymooners/Instagramers taking over the pool and invading personal space to get their photos in the infinity pool was a bit annoying.

Great place, location, amenities, facilities, staff, food &drinks, pools, Spa! The Social Club from Aperitif is an amazing place to be in! We were spoiled with a most intimate Villa, with preheated pool (you hardly can find it anywhere else), heart roses, anniversary cake, daily basket fruits. They offer free shuttle to/from Ubud.

Although it is a domaine with 65 villas, there is no place to walk and enjoy the nature.

The staff of Viceroy were welcoming and helpful in every respect. Nova, Yan, Agung, Hery and many others in the restaurant and at the front desk contributed enormously to our enjoyment of our stay. The hotel provided maximum comfort both in our suite and in the public areas. Great food and cocktails. And the dinner we had one night at Aperitif was outstanding. Great gym too.

Ubud traffic takes time to negotiate.

Beautifully appointed rooms. Filtered drinking water from taps. Nice view of forested valley. Superb food. The food and service in the Cascade restaurant was simply outstanding. The staff are all from the local village and extremely courteous. One of the staff at Cascade had worked for many years at a foreign cruise line. Their English was same as a native speaker.

Ubud traffic is very bad; of course the hotel can not do anything about this. We had to remind reception for staff to clean room once. Makeup service in the evening sometimes is done other times not. Response from reception was always immediate.
