Strawberry Cottage is a very cozy place in a green oasis. The owners are nice and friendly and make great breakfast. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom/toilet was super clean!! We got some good tips from the owner to visit the nearby Winchester.

We had the upper room with the sloping roof. As I am quite tall (1.90m+), this was sometimes not handy. But it was not a big deal.

Really lovely location - room very clean, the garden really impressive, the property had a good vibe. Lorraine - you are a star- the breakfast was so good and you were very attentive. Really hope you are there next time we visit. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nothing we didn't like

Stayed here prior to dropping our daughter off at Uni. The cottage and neighbouring house are beautiful, full of character with gorgeous gardens. Hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was clean, well-equipped with cosy atmosphere. Breakfast delicious - great selection, tastiest full English ever and jams are yummy! Our daughter (and we) were a bit nervous about starting Uni and it certainly helped to stay at this lovely cottage beforehand.

Can't think of anything we didn't like - would definitely stay again.

The bathroom had sloping ceilings, which were too low for us, and unable to use the shower due to the low slanting ceiling. Next time will book the larger room opposite.

Comfort. Welcoming. Knew about what was going on. Time to get to places and best way to travel. Lovely gardens and fresh eggs from the resident chickens.

location was perfect for our trip to Gosport, such a quiet and peaceful setting. Just charming from start to finish, Strawberry Cottage is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and Lorraine was so accommodating to our needs. We loved it! So nice to come back to a quiet retreat at the end of a busy day.

a small criticism. a socket closer to a mirror for my hairdryer to reach comfortably, and the room we had “Bedford” could do with a blackout blind at the window. the sun was a demon coming straight in the room. it was the very hot weekend if 8th & 9th July 2022.

Location is ideal for Ageas Bowl, Southampton cricket ground. Shuttle bus from train station across the road. Good choice at breakfast, served by the proprietor. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely gardens. Pub next door serving usual pub standard food

Shower was difficult to control heat

Breakfast was good. The private gardens surrounding the property were delightful. The bedroom was spotlessly clean and the host was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.
