Lovely room, very clean and spacious. Friendly staff on check in and check out. Nice extras like chilled water and milk stations on each floor for drinks. Good supply of drinks in room, White Company Toiletries. Very close to leisure park with restaurants and shops, lots of parking.

Price a little on high side for a night, but location for where we needed to be was excellent.

All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a classic style with a modern twist. We liked the bar and restaurant. Great location 20 mins from Gunwharf Quays. Our room was comfortable and cosy, we loved the gowns and slippers :)

The only thing that was a little disappointing was the adult swim times, as children’s times were 7-11am and 3-7pm, which are the only times we would have swam/relaxed by the pool but it was full of children in and out of the pool and sauna room. We booked the hotel for the pool so it was a shame we didn’t get to use it. Children swim times should be revised

The breakfast is great, all fresh and good quality. Caters to all tastes - full English, fruit and yoghurts, cereals, pastries, pancakes and there were specials of eggs Benedict or avocado and eggs made to order. The spa area has been updated. Our children loved 5)3 swimming pool and the little shallow pool is great for toddlers. Children are really well catered for - mini slippers, dressing gowns, welcome packs on the beds, a great children’s menu at dinner, competing packs in the restaurant which is unusual when it’s a nicer one.

A proper second bed in the family room rather than a sofa bed. Being charged £5.20 for coffee in the spa from a machine when it used to be free.

Lovely room with a lot of lighting options which I love! Plenty of plug sockets - not by bed though Fridge in room was amazing and fresh milk dispenser for drinks and filtered water in the corridor(so be sure to prepare ) Lavazza coffee pod machine in the room was very well received for the morning Fluffy robes and slippers in the wardrobe Comfortable bed and pillows Convenient location for Southampton and Portsmouth

The shower was powerful my husband loved it but personally it was too powerful for me! And not a fan of shower curtains but it is what it is. But that’s it everything was great

Unfortunately the restaurant staff seemed very busy even though they all seemed to be working hard. Too long a queue to check in at the restaurant desk at busy times. The team seemed to be generally on the more inexperienced side and while all very pleasant and certainly trying their best, it was clear at busy breakfast and dinner times that they were not coping - the older team members appeared to be running around trying to keep things under control. A number of mistakes were being made across the board. Having said that the whole bar-restaurant-terrace-outdoor grill experience was excellent and the staff certainly all very friendly.

Everything about the hotel was brilliant. It was clean, well presented, the staff were very friendly, the facilities, the outdoor space. The rooms were spacious with great facilities, and the staff even decorated the room free of charge for my wife’s birthday! Couldn’t fault it at all. We ate in the evening at the ‘FYR’ Grill on site, this is a must try! Food was exceptional.

The only thing I encountered was there was a wedding on and people were shouting uk and down the corridors around 2230. This however was not the fault of the property.

The bed was really comfy and I slept VERY WELL. The staff were extremely polite and very helpful. Lovely and quiet and we felt very relaxed using the spa and pool facilites.

Our room was a little tired and the door to the fridge was about to fall off. A lot of mould around the sink. Curtain rings missing on curtains. However, my daughters room was nothing like this and had been freshly painted and the bathroom was clean and fresh. The above are not a critismism at all but more to help the staff and hotel to give the rooms which are 'tired', a little bit of TLC. Considering the pool area has just been renovated, it is a shame there aren't more loungers and seating for guests around the pool area. I think more could be done with the spectators area, as it is a very big space, which could be opened up to accomodate maybe more loungers or a darkened relaxation area with simliar music to the spa changing rooms.

The hotel was clean and tidy, the downstairs decor, was lovely & very up to date. Upstairs less so, more dated. The dining area was lovely. And all staff we encountered were exceptionally polite.

We were not overly impressed with the quality of breakfast, which was only just warm. At the 8am table reservation. And the bread rolls supplied with breakfast were extremely stale. Everything else was of good quality but not hot. We also were surprised to find , after booking, that we had to pay £15 each for the use of the pool.

It was a lovely weekend treat for a reasonable price. The breakfast was really nice and the pool looks so much better now it has been fixed up and refurbished. The room was spacious and clean.

The spa area and pool was overly busy and that meant we had to join a waiting list to use the pool etc, not great for a family with kids who may not want to wait. It is understandable they have a capacity they need to stick to but some guests were hogging the pool area for hours without leaving, there should be a limit when in peak times to make it fair for all guests.

The hotel is very welcoming for families while still having the feel of an adult focused hotel. The ambience music conveys calm throughout. The spa facilities are very good. Sauna, steam room and pool had temperature spot on, and changing facilities were also very good. We had a very relaxing stay.

The breakfast was good but missing cheese options. Restaurant service on a Friday night was slow but probably because they were full in a half-term holiday. It did improve remaining days, so i believe to be exception.
