Room was excellent - just what we asked for in being in a quiet location. Only for a short time during a wedding reception did we hear any noise. Bed was comfortable. Shower absolutely superb. Great TV too, though it took some figuring out how to use. Excellent pool - and so nice to use it when no screaming children in it. Very nice staff in the pool area. And reception too, though restaurant staff much more average.

Breakfast was a bit mixed. Toast had to be ordered and only white or brown, plus it was cold by the time it got to the table. Bacon was badly undercooked first day, but excellent second (flavour was excellent). Orange juice was either watered down or just really poor quality. Coffee was good, once we figured out how to make it strong enough (two expressos and then hot water to make a proper americano). Wedding reception was a bit of a pain as they insisted on using the main staircase for their photos. Why they didn't use the beautiful inner courtyard was beyond me. Thankfully they understood it was their responsibility to get out of the way of people wanting to use the stairs, or there would have been a serious problem.

Location is very near to where we wanted to be. Lots of car parking. Easy to get to. Everything we needed was available. We had a brand new refurbished room which was very nice indeed!

The only niggle I had was that I normally sleep on a flatter pillow and I found it hard to get comfy on the fatter plumper ones in the room- no biggie but it would have been nice to have the option of a flatter pair of the four provided, as have been available in other hotels. Looking forward to seeing the refurbishments completed when we come again!

Uncertainty regarding how food was cooked regarding veganism. One chef informed us that the breakfast potatoes were vegan, but the next morning, a different chef said that he couldn't be sure that the vegan fryer was only used for vegan or vegetable products! We declined the potatoes!! We were able to eat at the Holiday Inn, but it has to be said that very little consideration is given to a vegan diet.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The food is is well presented, good quality and eaten in good surroundings. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and especially welcome is having a small settee to sit on rather than just a desk style chair. Lighting is good in the rooms which isn't always the case with hotels. Location is good with bus service nearby to the nearest station.

I do find working the shower quite difficult - it's easy to get plenty of cold water from it but not so easy to get any hot, though water from the bath tap is very hot! I also much prefer walk in showers rather than having to climb into a bath and stand under the shower. I do accept that at this hotel the bath tub has low sides.

We loved our stay here! The hotel, first of all, is a very family-friendly place. My child was given a coloring book and some crayons at check-in, and even the sofa bed was set up to welcome kids with a sweet treat—not to mention the free meals for the kids! The staff, in general, are very friendly and accommodating. Considering we stayed during a very busy bank holiday, they were still committed to providing us with excellent service and a smile. The hotel facilities do show some wear and tear, of course, but the place is well-maintained. The rooms are clean and had everything we needed—a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, tea and coffee station, TV, and even a mini-fridge! Well done to all the receptionists, servers, housekeepers, and other hotel staff who made our stay worthwhile! Thank you very much. 😊

Very high price for a room and for breakfast. I didn't go for the breakfast because of the high price for room and then breakfast on top seemed excessive. Car park needs tidying up and the building work didn't help, but i am sure this will be improved once all the work is completed and I would consider staying again if the price was more appealing

All was amazing staff we came across they were friend helpful and kind nothing was to much trouble. The bed was amazing didn't want to get out shower was powerful and hot room was a little dusty but clean and tidy the swimming was great kids loved it. definitely would love to stay again thank you

The noise from the music both nights was loud as 2 wedding on and our room was close. Would have like to maybe have been told about it as well as the time it would be off as did keep my little girl awake it was alot of money to stay and listen to Thumbing music

The staff and the food was excellent, the service was very good, breakfast was one of the best we have had at a holiday Inn and we have used many over the last few years

Unfortunately the bathroom and shower weren't the best, the shower was so powerful that it totally flooded the bathroom, the room was equipped for disabled guests so therefore the shower was over the bath, the shower curtain was to small and didn't stay inside the bath and with the shower being so powerful the water just poured down the curtain and onto the floor and caused the flood so we could not continue to use the shower. Also it was very noisy outside our room around 11 30 because staff were replenishing a drinks station in the corridor,

Breakfast was first class and enjoyed. Grace and all the staff at the restaurant and front desk were so helpful and be obliging. Pippa in the gym area was very helpful to help me with hours open etc. they gave us a fan to use as I found the room warm and staying 21 days I wanted to be comfortable!!

The menu for lunch/dinner could have had a little more choice with the hotel being so far from town and no other choice for food unless friends took us away from hotel.

Lovely visit with friends for an event. I ate separately due to food sensory needs. Menu online had changed and decreased massively and the new menu is very limited and not a ‘normal” sandwich combination in sight. I usually plan my food choices ahead of time. The chicken Caesar salad was not the freshest but the chicken tenders and waffle fries were very nice albeit extremely expensive. The room was comfortable and the whole venue immaculate. Staff very welcoming.
