Everyone at the hotel was extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was a good size and comfortable, with tea, coffee, drinking chocolate. We had dinner in the hotel on our first evening, the owner of the hotel Ian prepared the meal and was extremely helpful. The breakfast was prepared by Jill each day and was always very good. Eileen and Jill were always on hand if we needed anything and really friendly. Overall experience was warm and welcoming with good food, everyone contributed to making over staff excellent, I would have no hesitation recommending the hotel to anyone and would definitely go there again. The hotel is in a good location, handy for the train station, a short walk to the town centre.

Location is perfect for central Fareham and the marina visiting family. The staff were very helped and Friendly, especially the irish lady on reception and young lady at breakfast. The breakfast options were great and Food was freshly cooked to order and piping hot Good coffee and tea facilities in room and bed comfortable and large.

The rooms are a little dated. The room was very cold on arrival so putting the heating on would have been good from check in time. Also the heated towel rail in bathroom did not work so was chilly using bathroom. Easily addressed and would make big difference.

Location, Ideal for Railway Station, close to town centre, Well presented, Friendly staff local knowledge was very helpful, Room was clean and warm with ample space. Breakfast was excellent and loved the light airy breakfast room with xmas deckies.

Very good shower, soft thick fluffy towels, bed was comfortable, room was quiet even with the window open. The reception staff were friendly.

We stayed at an extremely hot time and the room was too hot to sleep well even with the windows open. Although the hotel was good value and would have been fine in cooler weather, we would pay extra for air conditioning. Also our room had two extra single beds which we didn't need and reduced the available space.

We needed a ground floor room which I thought I had requested but receptionist Anita said was not available. This was a real blow because we are both unable to cope with stairs. Anita made some phone calls (to other later arrivals ) and eventually managed to find a suitable ground floor room for us. The standard of service, the room and breakfast were all first class and we will revisit this hotel ob our future visits to the Portsmouth area

Great location, a short walk to Fareham train station, a small independent hotel with everything you need, very friendly staff, good breakfast and excellent value for money. Nice filter coffee in room. On a busy road but had a room at the back so no noise .Plenty of parking on site. Very nice conservatory dining room overlooking lovely gardens. Already booked in to stay again.

For the price, in this location, cannot complain about anything

Room:We had a down stairs room due to my disability this was well appointed & at the front of the hotel The blinds needed attention as some were missing & carpet rather stained. Breakfast: A good selection of breakfasts & served hot & well proportioned Clean : The hotel was clean & tables in the dining area could have had cloths on .

Location perfect. Clean n comfortable room. Shower over bath - all good - but I sometimes struggle getting in/out of a bath so a walk-in shower would be preferred. I'm told a phone call might secure this if not already booked out. Lovely breakfast cooked to order - delicious - lots to choose from on the menu. Evening meal also available, but did not partake of this. Will stay again.

Lovely hotel with warm, comfortable rooms and all facilities required for a short stay. The staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. We chose to have breakfast both mornings, really good value and set us up for the day. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Personally I don't think there was anything to complain about. Yes, it's a slightly older hotel and a little tired in places but the price reflects this.

Location suited my plans well. Easy parking, room typical hotel bedroom - clean, nice large bath towel. Bed fine. Very hot water supply to sink and bath/shower. Receptionist very friendly, efficient. Breakfast cooked well.

Blind broken and couldn't get TV to work but probably me. It's on the main road (A27) but set back so quite a lot of traffic noise as my bedroom fronted that road but by the time I wanted to sleep it had got a lot quieter and I slept through. Woke before 7 am - if someone was looking for a quiet lay in, location may not be for them.
