Buffet breakfast

Everything was pretty good but after spending £240 to stay I was pretty disappointed that we had to pay more just to go for a swim, usually this was included previously, I think it was ridiculous to charge more after paying so much for a swim, this should be part of the service,

Nice hotel, excellent location & front staff. The guy at the Bar was exceptional in service

The pool area was very dirty with black mould all over the jacuzzi and on the floor. The lines between the tiles on the floor need scrubbing. It made the place look really nasty and spoiled the whole pool experience for me. And the fact the I had to pay an extra £5 every time I went to the pool is ridiculous and unacceptable. We were 5 so every time we went to the pool, we paid an extra £25 after having paid to stay at the hotel. I really do not appreciate that and I hope they rethink their policy and clean up that pool.

The property is massive meaning the stay was absolutely silent throughout the night. Which was perfect as we were concerned when we came back and saw coach parked up! The staff were great. The building is huge with loads of steps and it is a fair walk to your room sometimes so it would be an epic place to play hide and seek (but maybe don’t do that? Who knows). The gentlemen on check in was really helpful. We used the pool and spa facilities this was an additional £5 and included towel hire. Booked at the golf shop. The spa was quiet and the people who were using it were nice, quiet and respectful. We would absolutely return if the price was right. We also loved hanging outside the bar in the garden having drinks. The garden lights added a lovely charm as the sun set! It also has a massive tv. We stay at a lot of hotels as we travel a lot and this had the best /biggest tv we’ve had at an accommodation! We loved it. We didn’t eat at the venue as it was buffet style dinner but we popped to a local pub where the food was stunning. We loved using the bar at the hotel, and prices were reasonable!

The property is tired. Things like the carpets aren’t the cleanest. And looking up close and getting nitty gritty there is work that needs doing to the rooms and the hotel but it gave us what we needed. But we just wanted a little chilled break away from life so it was perfect for us. YES the rooms do get hot at night. We opened the windows to try and get some air in but this is not the properties fault. They did provide a fan. It was just so stuffy! I’m sure if I asked they would have provided another but this really didn’t bother us too much!

My husband and I had a last minute decision to stay overnight anywhere between Portsmouth and Southampton on a weekend. Since it was half term, most hotels were either already fully booked or have ridiculous prices. Found this one at a reasonable price considering our situation, and was pleasantly surprised to see that pur room was large enough to have 2 sofas (one was a sofa bed) plus a double sized bed. The breakfast was great and I love the card they put in rhe room showing which times get busy in the dining hall. So we knew what time to get up for breakfast to ensure we get seats.

Room was really spacious with 2 large double beds. Good pillows and comfy quilts. Hairdryer, toiletries, iron, 2 fans... The room had everything you need.

The staff were rude, no eye contact from check in staff and we were not offered breakfast but knew on booking. Com breakwast was priced at £12.50 per person. When we went to the dining room for breakfast the next morning the lady seating people was rude and short telling us we weren't booked for breakfast (we knew this) and then said it was £16.95 each for breakfast. We tried to show our booking with the price but she did not want to hear us, looking over us at the next customers. Before we arrived we had e mailed the hotel twice for assistance and no response at all. Curtains were stained. We usually love staying here so to say we were dissapointed is an understatement.

Perfect location, stunning hotel with all added extra complimentaries. Staff excellent. Only disappointment, no food apart from dinner in the evening £20 & very poor esp for vegetarians. Also tv remote stopped working so was stuck on BBC news 24 all day/night & sraff unable to resolve.. However for £100 p/night was absolute value, stunning location, staff & had the pool jacuzzi, steam room/sauna to myself the following morning.. Overall great stay.. ive worked as cabin crew & stayed in 5-7* hotels all over the world & this was definitely one of the best Well done great team 🙌

I loved everything. The girl who checked in us on Saturday at 3pm. Sophia I think it's her name. she was very kind to us and very helpful always ready to help and with a smile on her face. which is nice to see in these places. the perfect breakfast. the pool, the jacuzzi, and the great sauna. the perfect rooms.

The only negative thing was the steam bath on Saturday did not work. At breakfast we were given a large table for the 5 and when we went to get breakfast because when we returned to the table there were already other people. But a man kindly provided us with another table quickly.

Excellent receptionist at the time of check-in. Had a slight issue with the room due to having dogs with us. The person behind the desk was superb and managed to change the room for us to our satisfaction. Breakfast was quite nice and would actually recommend booking with your stay. Good selection and they kept on replenishing on a regular basis when things were about to run out.

We found out from the information in the room that the use of the pool has a charge and you have to book a slot which meant that we had no time to use it due to only staying for the night on this occasion to this hotel.

We booked for a standard double room but we got upgraded to a superior (?) which has larger double bed, a separate living room, 2 TVs. We attended a friend's wedding there, where utilised few areas (dining, drink/bar areas, disco/dance areas).It is pity I don't have the time to try the swimming pool or massage/spa. The latter one has to book in advance. Plenty of parking space is available.

The room which has no air condition could be very hot in the summer. We have to open the windows to let the air flow. If you don't book the room with breakfasts, they can be quite expensive.

The indoor gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi was great. Nice sitting area to chill out. It has a large ground for golf. The restaurant and bar area is good. Dinner served was good. I think you get a better bargain if you book meals with accommodation.

Around 9.30am, the food was almost finished. I suggest you go early for breakfast. There was about a 5mins queue to enter the dining hall. Go between 7 and 9am for breakfast. Room 107 seem to be a family room as it has a door access to 108. One could hear the occupant next door. Sound proof for room 108 is poor.
