Location, location, location! We are seniors with some walking limitations, yet we were able to walk comfortably to The Pearl District, restaurants, a good grocery store and the MAX Station for entertainment.

We have stayed here before and very pleased. The room we stayed in this time surpassed the previous with one major flaw..it only had one night stand. I typically would not have tolerated this but it was my husband’s birthday and I didn’t want to ‘make a fuss’. You need to move the bed over and replace the one large night stand with 2 smaller ones and 2 small reading lamps IMHO.

We booked a suite as we were staying 9 nights so having the kitchenette meant we could make our own breakfasts and some evening meals. Loved the wine tasting in the evenings with live music at the weekend. Big shout out to Rory who often managed the wine tasting. He always had a big smile and was super friendly. Location was great for getting to all areas in Portland

Lots of homeless people in the area, often hanging out in groups with some of them clearly using drugs. Streets were often dirty with dog mess seen a few times. That made it a bit disconcerting for 2 females walking the streets at times

The beds were very comfortable. The staff had a treasure box for the kids to pick out something which was a very fun surprise for them and definitely made the stay memorable. The staff was friendly as well.

There was no fan in the bathroom causing it to get too steamy during showers. There is also black mold growing in the bathroom which is probably due to the non existent air flow. The bathroom door is a sliding door that never stays open either so there really is 0 air flow.

The staff at Mark Spencer is fabulous. They helped us locate parking before we even asked--walking across the street when they saw that we were unsure where to park. They are extremely cordial and accommodating. The beds and pillows are comfy and the towels are thick and fluffy. We enjoyed the morning coffee and afternoon wine, cheese, and crackers. Unfortunately, the lovely grand entry has been changed, and the hotel doesn't seem as elegant as it once was.

The parking is a challenge. It's not a safe neighborhood for parking outside and the underground parking is so tight that we nearly scratched our new car.

Lovely well appointed room and bathroom. This is a comfortable, nice hotel in the city center, a block away from Powell's and tons of restaurants and shops. We only spent one night there, but the downtown location made it easy to explore. I really appreciated the relatively (to other hotels) inexpensive parking and the fact that the hotel has their own garage with direct access. That was very convenient. There was also complimentary coffee, hot water/tea, and ice water in the lobby.

Nothing aside from wishing the cafe was open, as we were there Monday evening and Tuesday morning when they are closed.

This hotel is gorgeous. They had complementary wine bar at 5 PM and the location of the hotel was smack dab in the middle of everything that you could ever possibly want. All within walking distance was food and shopping. Hotel room was beautiful. We had a suite that was super clean and very comfortable. The beds were the perfect firmness and softness and so were the pillows. The towels also smelled good. I was happy to learn that they had a locked garage that belonged to only them. We love this hotel and we plan on staying here again next time we visit Portland.

There was nothing we disliked about the property, except that the elevator to the parking garage was out of order when we checked out. It was very inconvenient to have to carry all of our luggage down the stairs.

Location was great, just a few blocks from Powell books, Starbucks etc. Friendly staff. There is tea and coffee in the lobby all the time.

Price/value ratio seems a bit steep, especially if you count the additional cost you have to pay for parking. I checked in at 7pm and the room I booked with a city view was not available/overbooked/given away. Although technically they gave me an upgrade, the room I got did not have the view that I wanted and paid for. Worse, it was right on the street level so I had to close the blinds 24/7 to make sure people couldn't look in from the street. You have to request housekeeping, which I wouldn't expect from a hotel at this price.

Rooms were a decent size considering I was reading a lot of reviews for other hotels where the rooms were small. The location was perfect. They have onsite parking for guests for a decent rate, I don't remember what it was but it seemed better than other hotels. However, there is also plenty of street parking available that is free after 7pm if I remember correctly until 8am the next day and you can reserve up to two hours ahead with the parking kitty app. Free wine happy hour was nice with cheese and crackers. They have a little coffee shop available if you want specialty coffee but also have a free simple drip coffee bar. Overall, would say a great value for location.

Rooms/hotel smelled slightly odd, could be because of the dampness of the climate, but we kept our room window open the entire time.

The room was lovely and comfortable… Quite content if I had needed to stay there a number of nights. It was reasonably quiet everything was provided for and the bed was very nice to sleep on. The staff member who stood out was the coffee lady that Tuesday morning. She was lovely and friendly and offered to help me when she didn’t need to.

I arrived about 7 PM and had a heavy bag, I wanted to use the elevator entrance, which is the handicapped entrance so I didn’t have to use the steps. There was no bell. There was no phone number to call and it wasn’t the main entrance. Since I couldn’t get in there, I had to bring my fairly heavy suitcase up nine steps. The desk person simply said my Bellman’s off tonight and was pretty un concerned about the fact that if I had been in a wheelchair or using my cane, I would not have been able to enter. The only other complaint I would have is that the lobby looked like it could be Shampooed or vacuumed better.

This stay was a complete contrast to our early stay of one night 2 weeks before this one. And was fantastic. This time we had a room on the 6th floor and it was so much better than our previous room on the ground floor. This room was bigger, quieter, more comfortable and just a better experience overall. Kitchen was well enough equipped (2 of everything) and served us for making breakfast and dinners. Bathroom was modern and clean. Location great for downtown. And the staff were super friendly and helpful. Wifi good.

Not a fan of the soft beds, but this seems to be a theme everywhere we stayed in Oregon. A few more bits of crockery and cutlery would be nice, but a small quibble. Room did not have much of a view, but was bright and airy.
